Negative stars for the condescending response from the business owner. The cost of living in Newport is not an excuse for junk pizza. I could get less expensive and better tasting pizza in Beverly Hills, Aspen, London, NYC, and a slew of more pricey locales than the pigeon-poop covered Newport "FunZone"! LolGo try Lucali or Pizzana, then get back to us about your high rent and supply chain issues. You are an embarrassment to restaurants and pizza makers in general.

Pizza was quick - pretty good- friendly service- casual atmosphere and perfect for a walk along Balboa. I'd go back again.

They close at 9:20PM not 10PM. Tried to order a pizza at 9pm and they said they close in 20 minutes. Would never recommend this place to anyone with a family. Would put half a start if I could.

So check it out this is one of my go to places for pizza. When it comes to pizza I like a New York style pizza not a Chicago style pizza. Not much flop! The crust is really good but I wish the undercarriage had a little more crunch. However, with that being said I eat the entire piece of pizza including the crust, it's that good. The sauce is great, I don't know what it is but the sauce is just awesome and what's funny is that I was in Chattanooga, TN recently and I got some pizza and I swear their sauce recipe was exactly the same as Pizza Pete's. I will write them a review as well. I can't remember the name of the place but I think it's called Pizza Bros! Anyway, I talked to both owners and neither one of them has ever heard of the other, they both have a great sauce! The cheese is good, between the cheese and the pepperoni there's a lot of grease. I don't know what it is but I like it. However, I can not lie, I have found myself along with my family and friends using a napkin and dabbing up some of the grease but still, I like it. The overall taste of this pizza is my favorite, would I buy it again, absolutely yes!! I absolutely will be back! Truth be told I have been coming here for 40 years, this again is my go to pizza place. They sell their pizza by the slice and of course by the pie. I love this place, my wife and kids love this place, if you have not been here I highly recommend you pay this place to visit. I'm giving this place FIVE STARS all the way and I will tell you that every pizza place I go to is either better than Pizza Pete's or it's not as good as Pizza Pete's!! This is what I compare all pizza to.For the record, if the crust had a little bit more crunch to it and maybe if there was a little less grease I would of scored this place as an 8.5 on the ONE BITE APP!! This pizza is Damn good!!

Two medium one topping pizzas $62!! And to make matters worse they were absolutely nothing special! I would not go back!

Best pizza in the peninsula! Great customer service, ambience and food. The only pizza I order when I'm in Balboa!

Pizza DID NOT disappoint :) environment was clean and employee was friendly. Will be there again during our next trip to newport!
