Food:Brisket sandwich, fries, BBQ BeansI am always unsure of what to order at BBQ restaurants as everyone makes they sauces, seasonings, etc different. I played it safe and went with a brisket sandwich, which did not disappoint. The sandwich comes with some brioche type buns that are toasty, piled brisket (about ~8ish pieces), pickles, banana peppers and cheese. The brisket was good, not the best you'll ever have, but def good. I decided to eat the sandwich open faced which is a move that I recommend! The fries are super crispy and you get plenty of them to go alongside the sandwich (when ordering a sandwich, you have the option of fries or potato salad). The BBQ beans were okay, they needed to be hotter, temperature wise, but they were nothing special.Restaurant:This BBQ spot is located inside a building that also houses a small brewery, a pizza spot and a few other small bites restaurants. There is communal seating in the middle via lunch tables. It does get packed during dinner hours.Notes:The sandwich + side of beans was like $25+

We got the half pound plate $951/2 1b of all meats & 4 sides.Opens 12:00 Sunday, we got here 12:30 and they were out of Sausage. We asked for more Brisket instead.Very disappointed with lack of any detectable Smokiness. Ribs, turkey, brisket, pulled pork all tasted bland and zero smoke. The Positive thing was meats were Moist and tender but under seasoned. Everything needed some salt, and we don't really like salty meats. Esquite Corn soggy shriveled kernels with too much oil. Cheddar Mac bland and mushy. Chorizo Beans were basic whole beans in a watery broth without any discernible chorizo meat or flavor in it. Fries were hot and crispy but overly fried and dried out. I brought leftovers to work. Everone agreed, "Where's the Smoke?" Meat and sides had no flavor. Sorry, we wanted to love it, but was very underwhelmed. Girl at counter was very sweet, asked if we liked it, when we asked for containers to take home 90% of our food. We lied and said Yes, because Head Meat Guy was watching & listening, we felt intimidated to tell truth.... Yeah, we're wimpy. I took videos and very excited before actually tasting .

This is pretty much a fast food place because it's at the Whittier brewing Company. But their beef brisket is to die for. You have to come early because they sell out fast. Service is OK. People could smile a little more when they're taking your order lol. Ambience well it's the Whittier brewing Company you're outside, which is always good.

Melt in your mouth, juicy goodness tri-tip. This is our Friday night ritual along with beer and dessert. We order from the cashier, they provide a pager and will page when it's ready. Seating area is self-serve. Family oriented vibe with pinball machines.

One word... obsessed! I ordered 1/2 lb of brisket, 1/2 lb of pork shoulder, and 1/2 lb pork spare ribs along with a side of potato salad and cheddar Mac. They also include bread and the most delicious pickles I've ever had. The meat was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The cheddar mac is really good and the potato salad is also good. Service is excellent. There was a snag with my online order. The owner apologized and I showed him my receipt and he was able to put my order together. I didn't mind waiting as this place is located inside Whittier brewing co (the Nixon plaza/ building). Plenty of seating and options to grab a glass of beer or wine.Located in uptown Whittier in the building directly across Starbucks. There is plenty of parking, but some spots have meters. Make sure to have change handy so you don't risk getting a ticket.Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out especially if you miss Chris and Pitts. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. They also do catering for any occasion. Definitely will be back for the Pit Mac.

When I first got there, I was ordering a pretty big order then the cashier, I think Savv said that there was a family deal, so I just got that instead comes with all meats and 4 sides a pretty good deal. Then Savv was amazing enough to help me decide what to pick for the sides, we had gotten: esquite, beans, Mac&cheese, potato salad. The favorites were the PULLED PORK, SMOKED TURKEY, ESQUITE, and the POTATO SALAD. My family loved the esquite where they were craving for more, and the smoked turkey is usually not the favorite within the family, but that turkey was delicious. The beef rib, the ribeye, and the beans, were overly seasoned and salty, we couldn't really eat it and the bbq sauce couldn't save it either. Usually brisket is the family favorite but every bite was just salty.

The BBQ was good and tasty. Service was quick and efficient. The brisket was good and flavorful, not quite "melt in the mouth", but good all the same. The pork ribs fell off the bone and were more tender than the brisket. A good solid BBQ if you're looking for one, especially with lots of other food options so you can enjoy with friends.

Our favorite local BBQ place! Great brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc. Good and prompt service. Best is when they have the Dino Rib special. That was the first thing we ever had here, and we try and come back whenever they have it. Flavorful, very tender, with just enough firmness to keep it on the bone. Neat location inside the Whittier Brewing food court. Can be quite loud when crowded. But my son loves the pinball machines...

Food was really Really salty. I think it was the bbq sauce, Salad was decent. Ambiance was great.

BBQ is on point! Not too smokey and always delicious. I have already enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, the brisket plate and most recently the burger which was great I had it without cheese because I wanted to saver the two meats.
