Wow!! Huge dining and this was only about 1/2 of the seating area available. Loved the chairs. Super comfy for me with a bad back.

Staff wanted to squeeze 3 of us in the corner with the two empty chairs. I said no.

Was in the plaza looking for places to eat and saw this. Many people have recommended Phoholic so I was excited to try.I got the #8 which comes with Brisket, Fatty flank, and regular flank (I think). I really liked the broth, there was depth of flavor and it was probably one of the better pho broths I've had. I liked the fatty flank, but the other two were kind of dry and chewy. One thing to note is noodle and meat portions are on the smaller side. It was impressive how fast they are here. When we ordered my friend went to the bathroom and when he came back two minutes later, the food came out at the same time. Overall, I would definitely come back for the soup broth and id love to try their other locations.

I used to enjoy coming to this location as it's less wait, but the last few times I've gone the quality has really gone down a lot. The service is also awful at this place. The last 2 times I went, the broth was very bland and the steak was literally all clumped together like a ball. It was pretty annoying to separate them and they'd fall apart trying to separate. I came here 2 hours before closing last time and the lady at the front who also took our orders was very rude. She looked like she didn't really want to be there at all and kept giving our table nasty looks when we nicely asked for chopsticks and napkins because they forgot to give them to us in the first place.I wouldn't come back to this location again. There's many other food options at the mall so go elsewhere. The overall experience was so bad I forgot to take a photo of my food.

i love phoholic! it's my favorite place for pho, and this location does not disappoint. the wait was minimal even though the place is small. you sit in a booth with a screen separating the servers, so you have privacy while eating. the pho comes out pretty fast!my favorite is the pho tai! located in south coast plaza near the bloomingdale's on the first floor. there's lots of parking but it can get pretty busy on weekends!

PhoHolic in South Coast Plaza is located at the Collage food court by Bloomingdales. From the outside it looks like their seating had individually seats with cubbies. Luckily they have some tables in the back, since I was meeting a friend here for dinner. Service was really to the point, and not friendly or attentive. Not surprising if I was down in Bolsa but I thought they would be friendlier at South Coast PlazaAll of the standard size bowls were $14.50, unless you request for additional meats. My friend ordered their #14 without the tendons and I order what I order at most pho restaurants, a Tai Nam Bo Vien - which is steak, breakfast, and meatballs. Tea is complimentary with your meal, which is nice. However they did not have any non-caffeine option for my friend. White onions and white onions in vinegar are complimentary upon request. My cousins would love that perk. The pho was prepared in a timely manner. I enjoyed it for the most point. Broth was very soothing. There was a good amount of protein. For the hoisin and sriracha accompaniments they do not have the bottles on the table. They pre-squeeze it and give you a portion of it. I prefer having the bottles where I can squeeze the ratio I enjoy, which is more hoisin and less sriracha. I only dip some of the meats, and don't believe in contaminating the broth if the broth is good. A nice option for the area, but not something I would go out of my way for. I wouldn't mind coming back if my friend was craving pho.

If you're craving traditional Vietnamese pho near SNA, Phoholic delivers a solid bowl of comfort. Located in South Coast Plaza, it's clear you're getting something a bit more premium than your average pho spot. The flavors are spot-on--rich, aromatic broth that hits all the right notes. Pricing is reasonable, and while the service isn't exceptional, it gets the job done. My only small gripe? I wish they offered more combinations of meats, but that's just me nitpicking. If you're in the area and looking for a quick, homely meal that doesn't disappoint, give Phoholic a try. It's a great stop for a satisfying pho fix.

I would be one of the first people in line that are from the Bay Area that thinks Bay Area food is hella mid right now and on the decline. But if this is supposedly one of the best pho places in OC at the moment (the other one being Pho 79 apparently).................then I must be mistaken about Bay Area food being mid then lolThis was not great. They play videos on their TV demonstrating how they apparently boil dozens of pieces of beef in these large vats, only for it to taste like shit you could conjure up with some Trader Joe's beef bone broth and a few dollops of Better than Bouillon beef broth. When it comes to trying new pho places, the pho dat biet is my choice of pho for litmus testing a pho restaurant, in a similar way that Jacques Pépin asks chefs to make an omelette as a litmus test.Upon looking at the menu, I couldn't seem to find the pho dat biet, so I had to ask the waiter if they made it, which they did, but the conversation went downhill after that:Me: "Do you guys make pho dat biet?"Them: "Yes"Me: "What's in it?" (every place has a different pho dat biet recipe with different meats and toppings)Them: "Uhhh *says something I couldn't understand*"Me: ".......Okay how much is it?"Them: "The same"Me: "The same? Same as what?"Them: "As the other pho"Me: "But there are different prices for different kinds of pho on your menu *I point to all of them*"Them: "Yeah but it's the same"At this point I have him physically point to a price on the menu and he pointed to the one that was $14.50, which apparently wasn't the price because I was charged something closer to $18 instead at checkout lolI will say it's cool that this location is at SCP in a cool two story food hall area (with a Bruxie) and opened pretty late (11pm). They also have this area that mimics the Japanese ramen place Ichiran where they have solo booths for eating and a curtain where the chefs bring you your bowl of ramen from the kitchen.Back to the pho: It was mid, very shallow tasting, toppings weren't great.Maybe I didn't go to the main location or I just came at an off time, but no way am I coming back to this one. I'll probably have to try their other location(s) and/or try Pho 79 and hope it's much better.OC, if this is your best pho lol come check out the Bay Area instead.

Location: Look for the corner building that says "Collage Culinary Experience" at the corner of Bloomingdale's. Go downstairs and it's a bunch of food stalls. Phoholic is to the right. Or you can go inside Bloomingdale's entrance. The dining room has individual bar seating separated by dividers for solo diners. Or sit in the back if you have a group at the tables. The pho here is mediocre. I find the broth better at other locations because It's more flavorful and beefy. Although servings here are generous and in a plastic bowl not in stainless bowls like other locations.I like that it's one price ($14.50) for whatever pho you pick, thick or thin noodles. I also appreciate that our sever was attentive to our little one. We asked for an empty bowl and scissors. He came out w a small bowl w a tiny bit of pho noodles in it! Enough noodles for a 2 year old. I normally walk out smelling like pho from head to toe but didn't here. Which was another indication for me that there isn't much aroma and spice in the bone broth.

Phoholic is always my go to pho spot when in OC. I've heard that this location is not as good as the Westminster location but honestly, I think it's the same. Parking was easy to find since the restaurant is located in South Coast Plaza. I came with 2 of my friends on a Monday around 12 and waited about 5 minutes to get seated. Our waitress was quick to take our order and our food came out within 5 minutes. I got my usual #1 Pho Tai with flat, fresh noodles and after a long weekend, it hit the spot. I savored every single bite and was stuffed by the end of my meal. I even had leftovers that I brought home and ate later. The price is so worth it for the amount of food you get ($14.50).

We wanted a late night dinner and were looking for pho. I ordered the steak with oxtail which I thought was super good. The broth was rich, and both meats were super tender. The menu is pretty straight forward so order was quick. The service was a bit slow for how many workers they had working.

I was realllyyyy craving pho but was also lazy & didn't want to go far. I'd seen this place on Yelp & was always curious but I'm pretty die hard for Süp in Irvine. I thought okay let's expand our horizons today! It's a pretty limited menu - there's no appetizers really. It's very straight forward with pho items & a short fruit tea menu. I got the pho tai which is rare steak and did the flat noodles because it was an option. The flat noodles were good but I prefer the thinness of vermicelli. I will say it's a big portion for the price! It's $14.50 for a bowl and man do you get a lot of broth, noodles and meat. The broth was decent. I thought it could've used more depth. The meat wasn't the best quality - it was kind of low but was still pretty tasty. Overall, I'd come back if I was really craving pho & wanted something very local to just hit the spot. It's pretty solid for satiating a craving but not something you'll be raving about.
