The place has a "hole-in-the-wall" atmosphere. We were the only ones that were seated, but it seems like majority of their business comes via take out. The inside was clean enough, but it's not a place where you'd come and linger. The service was good. The food came out promptly. The waitress was friendly. She accommodated our party (see in the next paragraph). We ordered spring rolls, and they usually come in 2 an order but the waitress was nice to let us do a half order since we were a party of 3. We also ordered the a chicken pho and combo phos. The spring rolls and peanut sauce were ok. I like that it was grilled pork versus the cold one. The phos were not piping hot unfortunately and the beef broth was mild and not flavorful. The chicken pho was better, but the chicken was a little dry still. All in all, this may have been an off night for them?? We ordered from them once before, and we didn't recall the broth notably bland. Given the amount of pho places in the area, I don't think we'd go back.

Stopped here on a Saturday afternoon while my car was being serviced nearby. You order first and then seat yourself. Dining area is small and limited. Service is great and friendly.I ordered pho with meatballs and rare beef ($13). The beef was already inside the bowl and did not come rare. It was unfortunately chewy and overcooked. The broth was tasty. Meatballs were standard.

I use to love this restaurant when it first opened and for a few years after. I don't know what happened. Ordered food tonight and remembered why we stopped ordering from them. Maybe they have a new owner? The food is bland but the worst part is they don't clean out the shrimp vein. This is what reminded me why we stopped ordering, the shrimp poop. That's like cooking basics. After a few bites, we threw it all away.

I would typically have no problem talking to them about my experience however there would not be a remedy to my order. $40= shrimp spring roll with 1 shrimp halved on each, peanut sauce was more liquidly than water with no peanut taste, Beef Pho had MAYBE 1 1/2 oz of raw meat (it almost filled a shot glass), side of cooked beef was jerky and we received 1 packet of Hoisin sauce for entire Togo order. Zero spice/star anise flavor. My chicken broth I had to add had more flavor. Broth container was 2/3 full. I understand times are tough as they are for us too. Also got lemons, no lime. $40?

I've slurped my way through enough bowls of pho to know the good, the bad, and the bland. Pho Tastee, unfortunately, falls into the latter category. I was hoping for a pho-nomenal experience, but what I got was more like a culinary mis-pho-tune.The broth, the soul of any pho dish, was as uninspiring as a decaffeinated coffee on a Monday morning. It had the depth of a kiddie pool and the complexity of a Sudoku puzzle... for toddlers. The noodles were there, playing hide and seek under the limp greens, while the meat slices looked as enthusiastic as a teenager asked to do chores. In summary, my taste buds are still waiting for an apology from Pho Tastee. For those seeking a pho-nomenal experience in Huntington Beach, my advice is to keep walking. Maybe the real taste is in the journey, not the pho destination.
