Philz Coffee

This is my go-to coffee shop after I finish my Pilates class or if I am in the area ! I am a Philz coffee connoisseur til the day I dieee I always order the mint mojito sweet n creamy or the honey haze. I ordered the vanilla spice (their holiday drink) at this location when it was the holiday season and it was delicious -- I wish this was a permanent drink on their menu The interior here is absolutely stunning -- probably the nicest Philz I've been to and I've been to many. I will be back when I'm back in Costa Mesa.

If you're lucky enough to have a Philz nearby, how can you not go!?The Costa Mesa location is one of the newest in Orange County and it does not disappoint with the vibes!Spacious interior with plenty of seating. Outdoor patio right across the street from South Coast Plaza. Huge parking structure with 2 hour validation! Passcode for the restroom is posted by the register, and the employee will validate for you up there as well.Also, this location is hands down quicker at getting their drinks out than the fullerton location due to a larger format with more staff members working, which is a plus! Recs: they're known for their mint mojito, if you're into mint it's definitely worth a try! My person favorite is their ginger snap. It's got hues of subtly chai notes to it, so creamy and satisfying!!

PHILS mother flippin COFFEEWHAT CAN I SAY?Well you're about to read what I'm saynnn.This is virtually (this word never made sense to me) but this isss virtuallyyyyy the only cafe I can order my coffee with cream AND sugar. Aka creamy cream and sugary sweet sugar. Normally this is blasphemy and should be illegal in all 48 mainland states. But here, it works and tastes good.You have to be edgy and hipster to work here though so if you don't pull off the look or pass the vibe check please don't even try applying.Yea, my only complaint is they close early but whatever hipsters have lives too I think. Salud gente Bonita. Have yourself a freaking magical pour over.

The mint mojito is always a refreshing choice. We ordered it hot for the first time and it was still good. It's probably better iced like we normally get, but with the chill outside we needed something warm. Minus a star because I ordered two drinks and then they only made one. After waiting for a bit I spoke up and turns out the guy had only put in one order not two despite what I ordered at the beginning. The girl at the counter took care of it but the guy taking the orders/payments should pay more attention.

Lately Starbucks just doesn't cut it for me anymore. I like a deeply roasted coffee taste. Philz steps in as a very good option. I usually like to hit up moms and pops but have added Philz to my coffee rotation. I like the Philtered Soul which has hints of hazelnut maple and caramel, unsweetened, and medium cream. I have to admit, I need to branch out and try other coffees on their menu. When something is already so perfect, it's hard for me to try something else I order by app and pick it up before 7:00am so parking is not an issue. The pastries always look amazing and I've had the almond croissant before. Very tasty and I would love to try more. Service is good. Indoor and outdoor seating available to just hang out. I walked here from the hotel. Safe and walkable area. It's Halloween, so has been fun seeing people's costumes!I had the gingerbread latte, hot. So delicious and better than pumpkin anything! I also ordered the banana bread. Moist, spicy and solidly tasty.The leather couch by the front door was a cozy place to sip coffee at 7:00 this morning. Servers were friendly. I'll for sure come back when I return again for work.

Im a huge coffee & coffee shop snob and I was told to stop by Philz and overall cute place. The parking was easy which is so important. The overall ambiance was great except the high top table chairs were so uncomfortable lol. I ordered a Honey Oat Mill Latte and it was great and reasonably priced

Slow service, long lines, and crowded parking lot. I wanted to try their seasonal menu and this was the closest location. People kind of just hover by the line, so that causes confusion. I did enjoy the winter bliss cold brew, it was nice with that creamy Ghirardelli flavor. I Also tried the gingersnap which was not good. The gingersnap wasn't prevalent, and ended up tasting like watered down cinnamon coffee.

Jan 25, '25, Sat 7pm. This was the meet-up spot with my match. We'll see if we hit it off. I got here a bit early and checked out the vibe. This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a very relaxed environment. It looked like most tables were occupied with students from Orange Coast College. I was standing at the end of the ordering line out of the way but two customers seemed to think I was ordering too. A large herd of students walked past me from the seating area hidden behind the wall. So, I stepped out to see if there was an open table. Yes, there was a hidden gem and I grabbed it. I messaged my date to find me at the best table. The two youngsters may have had a cold as I watched both of them cough... eww, germs, ick. I wanted to get far away from their virus. What to do? It's already airborne, praying it's only allergies.She arrived but didn't want a drink. That's okay... I wanted to try a light-roasted coffee. This was my latest pattern in coffee drinking. I thought that lighter roasts had a subtle sweet taste than the bolds and mediums. I asked the barista which of them she recommended. She suggested the Dancing Water with notes of brown sugar, biscuit, and citrus was the choice to make. I went with it and waited for them to make my medium-sized cup of java.A few minutes later, my coffee was ready. I grabbed my drink and mentioned we'd best be heading out as the shop was prepping for the end of the business day.Oh, by the way, plenty of varied parking from spaces in the front (2 hr max for Philz), there were some unmarked too (assuming no time limit), and then there was the parking structure (also 2 hr max but with validation). There was a validation machine near the cash register.

Super solid place to grab coffee to catch up with a friend or do some work. I do a lot of work on my laptop and they had a lot of seating options.Great coffee and good service.
