Pepes Finest Mexican Food

Finally! This place has been in construction for so long. The newish fast food place is clean and pretty. A place that serves good Mexican food where I don't have to drive far, and reasonable prices.Carne asada quesadilla.... Full salsa bar to serve yourself.Comes with guacamole and sour cream. Pickled onions and it was all just for $10. Best part are the servers. I took pickled onions and the lady came out with a foil so I can wrap it up. I soooo appreciate that type of attention.Also it was hot inside and someone made a comment. The assist manager turned on the AC and in the brief moment that I was there, I realize they hired some top notch people. Oh! They're open late (10). Which is late for the area.Congratulations you have a new fan favorite.!

Welcome to the neighborhood, Pepe's! :)Picked up a carne asada burrito along with a chicken and al pastor soft tacos. The burrito was good, they include beans and rice, although they have a meat only option as well. The chicken taco was good, and their Al pastor was on point!Service was good, there was a line and it took a bit to get my order, but I could see that they were working hard to keep up so such is life. The ambiance is basic but clean, and there's some indoor seating if you don't want to get it to go. In all I was pleased and will return again soon I'm sure.

MAGA Mexican Food!Mexicans Ain't Going AnywhereGreat place for great delicious food. Some of the staff is new so be patient. Don't wear your MAGA hat in here unless you're a hypocrite. Honestly. Garden Grove residents don't deserve this place but it's too late, they are here. Pisses me off seeing all these Trumpers lining up to eat Mexican food made by the immigrants they voted to get rid of. Makes me sick to my stomach seeing some of these Red Hats in the dining room. Respect to all these hard working employees in this restaurant and keep fighting If you find this post offensive then I did my job and my message worked.

Very exited to report that after almost two years, Pepe's is open and the food is yummy! We met family there. Between the 4 of us we had beef tacos, cheese enchiladas, beef enchiladas, rice, beans (so good) and chips & salsa. Everything was fresh and the portions were above average. The salsa bar was a nice feature and the consensus was the hot one was the favorite. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. We look forward to trying several items we saw on the menu.

Don't bother coming here. The only good thing about this place was how genuinely nice the employees were. Otherwise save your money and go to taco bell. Stone cold and disgustingly flavorless enchiladas. Terrible dry steak nachos. Horrendous salsa. Save yourself from a guaranteed tummy ache that'll keep you up most of the night.

Pepe's is now open daily after an equipment repair had them closed. Just tried the beef flautas with guacamole and they were delicious! Pepe's is starting to get popular here very quickly and the drive through has been packed but service is moving fairly well. I have to try and go inside my next visit to see the new salsa bar!5 Stars!

I was really excited to finally try this spot, especially since the drive-thru line is always packed--a good sign that people love the food. Unfortunately, my experience didn't quite live up to the hype.The potato hard taco was underwhelming, with a filling that resembled instant mashed potatoes--unseasoned and lacking depth of flavor. The texture felt uninspired, offering little contrast to the shell.The chilaquiles with red sauce and scrambled eggs were disappointingly dry and bland. The chips, which should provide a satisfying crunch or at least a slight chew if properly soaked, were entirely limp, suggesting they weren't freshly prepared. The accompanying rice, guacamole, and beans were serviceable but unremarkable.The California burrito suffered from dryness, exacerbated by an inadequate amount of sour cream. The fries inside were both unsalted and dry, which only added to the lack of balance. Perhaps a touch of pico de gallo could have salvaged some flavor, but as served, it was lackluster.The carne asada fries faced the same issue--the fries were devoid of seasoning and tasted dry, failing to complement the other ingredients.Overall, given the long lines, I expected bold flavors and satisfying textures, but what I got instead felt like a missed opportunity.

This location is finally open after about a year of being built but not actually open. Never been to a Pepe's before but has heard good things. My son ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and said it was on the better end. He said it was no Nick's or Sancho's for that matter which are our go to spots but solid nonetheless. I ordered a veggie burrito and it was good overall just not amazing. Both items had what seemed to be pretty fresh ingredients and we were given 4 different salsa which all of which I liked. Place was packed for drive thru and heads up that parking lot is small so so you may be making a turnaround and having to park in next lot if you want to sit inside or order takeaway. I'm sure we will be back

Bureaucracy slowed Pepe's down, but it definitely didn't affect the enthusiasm of the staff. Their food is fresh and authentic while staff earnestly work to create a welcoming experience. It's a very clean environment, but a little hectic due to everyone and their mom excited to finally taste the food. I'm happy to welcome them to the neighborhood. Did not disappoint.
