Def a 5 star experience! Food was amazing! I had the sausage skillet and the gravy on top was the best I've had, HIGHLY recommend that skillet! Smoked spam was tasty! Country morning breakfast was delicious! Pancakes were light and fluffy! I loved the way the restaurant looked, there was so much memorabilia on the walls it was like a museum! The service was amazing! We got out food literally 5 minutes after we ordered, fastest service yet! I can't wait to come back

I swung by for a late morning breakfast on a weekday. It wasn't very crowded inside and the parking lot had plenty of spaces for free parking. The place only has one server who apparently just had knee replacement surgery not long ago. And she has alcoholism and likes to drink herself to sleep at night. How do I know? She divulged it to other customers loud and clearly. It took her at least good 5 minutes to notice us waiting to get seated. Then the menu got slammed onto the table in jest -- which I didn't find it cute or funny. Nor did I think telling us that she was busy eating and telling the cook to make the potatoes crispier a good reason to have us just standing by the door. Anyhow, the order was taken and the food came out quickly. It was so much food and I fully regretted not getting something more sensible like toast instead of biscuits and gravy. The omelette was delicious. Not too big of a fan of their home style potatoes. I agree with the server it should be crispier. In my humble opinion, it helps to cook the potatoes first and then the vegetables so it doesn't get soggy. But what do I know? The biscuits tasted dry, stale, and spongy. The gravy was something marginally better than the ones of the galley/chow hall. The rest of the food tasted ok albeit on the greaser side of things. I wouldn't mind eating here again but only if someone else wants to go visit. Otherwise, I think there are better diners out there in FV/HB area.

We love coming here. The food is always good and the staff aid quick and super friendly. The decor is fantastic and saluting every member of our military branch. I get their spam breakfast and it's always yummy but this time I wanted to try their waffle. It was yummy and my husband got their special of the day a green chili egg something. I forgot because I didn't it but he loved it! Check this place out if you're in the area you will not be disappointed.

It hurts my heart that I have to leave a bad review to Paul's. I took my daughter here mainly because of the love for the military service and people who serve. I'm a Veteran and I came here approximately 15 years ago and remember it being very good. My daughter and I ordered the Chicken fried steak and when it came out it was huge and looked great. After several bites. We both noticed a sour taste and was not pleasant! I brought it to my servers attention and she tried to give us new gravy but I think it was the meat! Not good.., we left so disappointed.

Everything was great up until I was missing items which I had to remind the waitress and only got 1 of the 2, and I got taxed twice. My receipt showed a total of $54 and change plus $4 and change for tax to make it a total of $59 and some change, but when I went up to pay, the waitress entered my total which then taxed on top of that and brought the grand total to $63 plus tip that I left. Keep in mind, I only ordered a ham & cheese omelette, a short stack, and eggs Benedict and 3 drinks. I also did not get my toast. I got one refill on the coffee and that was it, I am usually a 3-4 cup guy. But I will say, the food was good but not at $63 for my 2 kids and myself and the ambience seemed ok but did not like the banging going on. Not sure if it was next door or someone outside. But again, food was good, just felt robbed at the end and did not get a receipt back which led me to believe that I was charged on purpose.

Paul's has been on my list for quite sometime. I saw the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode with Guy Fieri back several years ago. Right when we walked in the door we got a warm welcome and we're seated promptly. The decor was "small cafe with a heavy dose of military". Very cool. A server mentioned many of the items on display were donated by customers. For breakfast I had to try the country fried steak, it's a must for most new places we try. It was gigantic. It was pretty good. It was paired with potatoes and a biscuit with gravy. (This meal fed me 2 more times with leftovers). My husband had a chorizo omelette with fresh tomatoes as his side. He loved it. Especially the fresh tomatoes. We took our parents back the following morning to treat them and they loved it as well. We look forward to trying more items on the menu.

I've been coming here for years whenever I need my S.O.S. fix.Stephanie and the staff are always great! The military pics on the wall are great! The place is always clean. I've never seen a crumb on the floor....and the portions are still great portions!Unlike some of the other restaurants, Paul's hasn't resolved to smaller portions while raising the prices.
