Part & Parcel Market in Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach is a fantastic small bites/cafe for casual fare and well crafted coffee based drinks. No seating inside but there are a couple tables inside just outside the market or better yet recommend heading just outside to their covered patio with super comfy seats to enjoy coffee and light breakfast. Pricing is expensive as expected for being within Waldorf Astoria. Definitely recommend the spinach croissant pasty for savory light breakfast and can vouch for both the cold brew and vanilla latte, both were excellent.

I know this is a grab and go cafe in a hotel and it seems silly to review, but I got the best smoothie I've ever had here. The protein plus is an absolute must have for strolling around the resort grounds and soaking up some sun. Plus the employees were so incredibly friendly it made it that much better.

Kinza and Megan are so sweet and accommodating. They made me a delicious summer berry smoothie and they are both delightful! They also have other snacks and it's all pretty healthy. Definitely come in and check it out when you are at the Monarch Beach. It's expensive but worth it!!

Ok so I know everything is overpriced and it's expected because it's located inside the Waldorf. But hear me out. I will say that I personally really enjoyed the iced vanilla latte. All the pastries we tried were delicious from the cinnamon rolls to the almond and Nutella croissants. We also got the breakfast burrito which that was just ok. I do like they they sold juices, I got the orange juice and split that between my kids. The girls working there were great and helpful. They didn't mind making me 3 cups of ice with some water so I could dilute the juice for my kids. I try to not give them too much sugar especially knowing that we are on vacay and they will be getting a ton more sugar elsewhere. Which see below LOL I came back for another iced vanilla latte later in the afternoon but ended up noticing the ice cream. Single scoop is $5 so we decided to go for the double scoops for $7. Scoops are big and flavors are delicious! I thought it was worth it! We tried coffee, pistachio, cookies and cream, chocolate and the strawberry was extra yummy! This place is also kind of like a gift shop too as they sold magnets that have monarch beach so there's a variety of things if you wanted to bring home a souvenir or buy a gift. They have post cards for $1 and they also sell a plant plushie for $62.50 to sugafina gummies so there's a large range of gifts and treats. I didn't get photos of just our stuff. We are in the the photos so I won't be posting. I still say check it out even without my photos.

Maybe It's because I was so hungry or maybe it was the delicious taste, but they make a pretty decent pastrami sandwich. Hot pastrami on a fresh baked rye roll with gooey cheese, it's not worth?! De Soto on site restaurant at the hotel I'm staying in hit the spot for a quick takeout.

First, this resort, while beautiful has few dining options. At some point you end up here for a change. The service is terrible. It starts with employee selection, like Amber, and extends to training, like a hot beverage being hot. First attempt was for take out sandwiches. All made to order and no substitutions. Have an allergy? We were told to try another restaurant. What's on the premade sandwich? Read the menu. Is there a lot of this or that? We don't make it. What's better the club or the pastrami? I have never eaten our food. In the end the food was good. The journey to the food was like surviving a train wreck. Against my better judgement we got coffee there the next morning. Regular coffee was luke warm. Asked for it to be remade and was told that it was the same pot and just going to be the same temperature. Asked for it to be thrown away and given a refund, and they couldn't figure a way to refund $4. Considering how friendly, accommodating and professional the resort staff is I can only expect this is the island of misfit toys that didn't make the cut elsewhere. $4 loss against never going back and hopeful this review saves someone the hassle of going there is well worth it.

This place is more of a grab and go breakfast option and way overpriced. $7 for coffee, $10 for yogurt/parfait. I picked up two coffees, orange juice, parfait and a pastry and it was $50. Nothing fresh but the parfait (not really sure that was fresh). Everything else was prepackaged. If you have a car, leave the resort and go to one of the local breakfast places. There are many around Dana Point within a few miles. We would have done that if we didn't have a tee time to make in the morning.
