***Should read 4.5 stars***I've been to Origami a couple times now and I think it's great. Here's why:***Great selection of different food: Besides all the yummy hand rolls, there are tons of appetizers (love the gyozas), Kushiyaki and veggies.***The Dinner sets: I've ordered the 4 piece set which includes spicy tuna temaki, salmon temaki, yellowtail temaki and a bay scallop temaki (you can make the salmon, yellowtail and/or scallop spicy if you wish). It also comes with a house sauce and a miso soup. This is for $25. Great price for a nice portion of food IMHO. I've also ordered the 6 piece set which includes what's in the 4 piece set plus Shrimp Tempura Crunch temaki and a Unagi Temaki. That is more than I need but still quite good.***The House Sauce: I'm a purist and I like a little soy sauce/wasabi. But there is something special about the truffle soy or the Yuzu house sauce that just makes me feel like the experience has been elevated. Besides being delicious, it's just a nice "extra" to enhance certain bites.Service has been really great for me and I love sitting at the bar, watching the rolls being made.So why 4.5 stars? The seating is extremely limited. It's pretty hard to get one of the few coveted tables so you have to sit at the bar. The bar has it's perks and I like to see things being prepared, but if you're catching up with an old friend, it's hard to sit side-by-side. And if you're dining with a child, they have to be a certain age (I think 7 or 8?) to sit at the bar...this makes it difficult if you want to eat and your child is not fitting the age limit.Total aside: I just saw an advertisement here on Yelp for a 6 course option for 2. The price is $149 and includes 2 miso soups, 3 sauce set tray, 4 pieces of Kushi oysters or 4 sashimi sampler, cucumber salad or sea salted edamame, rock shrimp tempura or 3 pieces of spicy tuna crispy rice (I've had that by the way and it was awesome), 4 classic or vegan handrolls, 4 premium handrolls and one of thier milk soft serve ice creams in a a matcha green tea cone or a yuzu creme brulee with fresh fruit. It says you cannot do this as a walk-in, so I guess I'll be making a reservation soon!

This is a perfect place to stop by and grab a quick bite. The quality isn't amazing but you really can't beat that price. It's one of those "if you're craving sushi but on a time crunch" spot. When I'm dreading my office job on my 1 hr break I'll come here to drink and eat my dam hand rolls.

I'm really sad to write this review since I love this place so much. The quality of the fish is always amazing and everything on the menu tastes so great. Today, my husband and I noticed that none of the sushi chefs switched gloves ever. They used the same gloves to handle dirty receipts, open drawers, use dirty dishrags, and handle all the food. They touched multiple surfaces, moved around from back kitchen to front kitchen, and all without changing gloves once. Right after wiping the kitchen with a rag, I watched the chef massage the rice into a bowl and put in on our plate. It made my appetite go away completely. I also used to manage a restaurant so I understand this is lack of training. Especially with an open kitchen and with customers watching the food being prepared, I think managers need to train more on hygiene and proper food handling. We will not be returning unfortunately. The staff were all so friendly and hardworking but the lack of food handling training for a higher end restaurant is disappointing.

Went here for lunch on a work day since my office is close by and sat at the bar. The place had a good amount of seats and mostly bar seating while you watch the sushi chefs make the food. They have a good amount of choices and great lunch specials for great prices (Bento lunch box for about 17-20 and Handroll combo for 19) but I opted to get the Tuna Donburi with no quail egg and it was DELICIOUS. The bowl had a great amount of fresh tuna. I had it with some soy sauce and wasabi, just how I like it. I was very pleased with my lunch and enjoyed every bite. It was about 26 bucks I believe and it's worth the money with the amount of fish you get and the quality. The service was wonderful as well, my food came out quick and workers were friendly. I will definitely be back!!

Origami Handroll offers top-quality sushi with great attention to detail--even their chopsticks stand out. Their menu features an impressive selection of handrolls, yakitori, and well-priced set meals for lunch and dinner. The sushi and sashimi is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. On top of that, the service is outstanding, making for a great dining experience. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a full meal, this spot is definitely worth visiting!Tried the 4 handroll dinner, love the Salmon roll.Rock Shrimp tempura is must tryGreat selection if Handroll and Yakitori don't want to forget great service, Thanks Taylor will be back for lunch.

Came to this spot after church with some friends! Seated at the bar very quickly. I loved getting to see the rolls being made right in front of us. Service was nice and paced out, so we didn't cram all the rolls at once. They have a set menu as well as a la carte. Everything was delicious. They only have one table for any parties of 6-8, so something to consider if you come with a group. Lots of parking, so no worries about that.

I really really love their yuzu sauce. It truly compliment the flavors and the freshness of the fish so well. Their truffle soy sauce is also a delicious dipping sauce! My favorite from this place was the premium chirashi bowl. It had thick cuts of fresh fish and I loved every bite of it.

This place gets 5 stars for the oysters!! Sooo fresh not fishy at all and the sauce pairs well. We got the 4 piece set and 4 a la carte. The fish was fresh and prices were standard for a hand roll bar. I would say it's pretty comparable to kazunori but they have a more extensive menu. Service was great. The servers were very attentive!

I really liked the handrolls here. They pace it out really nicely and their service is attentive which is great. I wanted to get the four pc dinner set but I thought the set might have been too little since there would be only four pcs of handrolls and a miso soup so we ordered a mixed tempura appetizer as well. I realized quickly that I underestimated the amount of food because it definitely filled me up after eating half of my dinner set and appetizers. To start off the tempura was crunchy and warm but the miso soup was a little too salty for us. The fish was fresh and the seaweed really stood out because the texture was really crunchy and was seasoned well. I also got the truffle soy and my bf got the yuzu sosu sauce. The truffle soy was good but the yuzu sosu was a bit too overwhelming in yuzu for him. However it wasn't just the sauces for dipping that were overwhelming though as even the sauces in the hand rolls were pretty heavy and personally I'd like to taste more of the fish so I might ask for less sauce next time.Despite being really full though we ended up getting two yakiniku dishes too just to try and they were the chicken meatball with egg yolk and tare sauce and the kurobuta pork sausage. Both were really delicious and came in two to three pcs of each. At the end we got the Hokkaido soft serve to finish the night and it was honestly one of the best desserts I ever had. I've never had a Hokkaido soft serve before and it's enough for two people. It was so creamy and smooth. You can really taste the milk and the chocolate cone also really complements it. Overall I would still come back again if I want hand rolls and ice cream.

i absolutely love coming here the food quality is absolutely amazing and the prices are fair! Angel manages to keep great banter and a friendly demeanor while making the BEST handrolls ever. Finally managed to meet all the girls serving too and they are the sweetest, great at anticipating the needs of customers, keeping up with the business of the restaurant, and provide awesome conversation. HIGHLY recommend!!
