The theme is old school rustic with mining design elements found throughout the restaurant. Stunning views of Orange County and savory steaks are its claim to fame. If the weather's right --and it almost always is, there's an outdoor dining patio with umbrellas to really take in the views. THE FOOD. - Prime Rib | The prime rib was very tender and juicy; cooked how I wanted it, medium rare. Add the Oscar topping (asparagus spears, crab meat, and bernaise sauce) to elevate your dish! Along with the prime rib, you also have access to their fresh salad bar, tasty soups, delicious cheese bread, and your choice of side. I went with brussels sprouts for extra $; its crispy charred edges with Parmesan sprinkled on top was perfection. Highly recommend. - Creamed Corn | Sweet corn kernels in a slightly thickened sauce. It can feed a few hungry mouths, so share those calories!THE DRUNK DRINKS. - Raspberry Smash | Sweetly tarty with that nice bourbon kick. - Old Fashioned | Citrusy sweet. Smooth. THE PARKING. Valet parking was $8, but their website says it's now $9. The valet line was a short wait. THE RESERVATION. Yea, definitely make reservations. COMING BACK? Yes! Loved the atmosphere and food.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Orange County Mining Co! We had our wedding reception here years ago and it was an amazing experience from beginning to ending. Christin was amazing and so was her team. They were so organized and on top of everything. We just fell in love with the panoramic view and the rustic feel of the venue. The Bridal Expo was so essential to give us an idea of the preferred vendors and helped us envisioned our special day. We got to also taste test different entrees and try samples for the cake. We were able to connect with pretty much all of our vendors so it was such a convenient and fun event. The highlight of the day was the food, it was really delicious and memorable. We got so many compliments from family and friends for the food and venue. The staff were so on point for the entire day, we're really grateful for everything they did. We did make reservations before our wedding reception to try a sunset dinner on the patio. It was really wonderful and the food was so good! For our special day, they took care of every detail and worked so well with all our vendors. We were able to truly enjoy our special day and I always look back with fond memories!

For a Friday evening we were able to get in right when they opened (at their newer hours). The ambiance is rustic and fun, nice table lanterns. Belen was our waitress and she was fantastic, very attentive and accommodating. She didn't rush us either [which is one of our least favorite trends at restaurants]. The Stags Leap Merlot was the perfect pairing to the cheese bread and our filet and ribeye. Both cooked as ordered, though the Oscar style was stingy on the crab. The salad bar is new and fresh, someone came out repeatedly to replace the lettuce and such. We always try to come when we're in town, and we weren't disappointed.

First time here. Came to celebrate our dearest friend and my birthday. Every year at this time of year, I take us out to celebrate at a Sunday brunch. As we arrived and went to the hostess station, they were going to seat us outside where it was about 57degrees. I asked to be seated inside and was given unnecessary attitude from the hostess, Taylor. I expressed my sincerely appreciation and apologized for asking for the change of seating. This meet with a disrespectful facial expression and no acknowledgement. After being seated our experience with our server, Kennedi, who was very friendly, accommodating and provided us with exceptional service! As a former bar & restaurant owner, I would have poached her to work for me. Such great attitude & service... Bravo Kennedi

Wow I'm in love with this restaurant and I'm happy to have found this through their 50th anniversary prime rib special at $23.50! It included so much: salad bar and soup bar and cheesey bread appetizer with the entree. I made a reservation for my party and they easily accommodated the change from 3 to 4 people. The views are gorgeous from sunset to night time. We went during a weekday so it was free parking instead of valet and you just know it wasn't as crowded as it could have been compared to a weekend night. I'd love to go one more time!

First timer here and I was excited to try their September prime rib special! We had reservations and when we got there and only had to wait 5-10 minutes to be seated. Our server was great and attentive. Now let's get into the food: I enjoyed the salad bar, the prime rib was tender but a little too salty for my liking and lots of fat(I was told that's normal), my side which I chose mashed potatoes tasted like dirt, but my margarita was delicious! Pro tip: a gorgeous view and around 6:30/7pm is prime time to enjoy the sunset!

This place is a good spot to go to if you're looking a meal with a view. It is gorgeous when the sun is setting. I've been here a couple times over the years (whether for dinners or for cross country banquets) and it was pretty good each time. I definitely wouldn't say this is one of the better steaks I've had by any means. There wasn't the wow factor to the steak that I was looking for. The mashed potatoes were really yummy though and their bread was too. It's neat that they have a soup and salad bar but not necessary to waste your appetite on if you're trying to save for your meal. For the most part the service was good except for having for a to go bag for a little longer than expected. I might be back if I was in the area but most likely I would just choose to go to orange hill.
