OniGuru

OniGuru, as the name would imply, sells Japanese onigiri as well as rice bowls and poke. However, I was primarily interested in the onigiri, as we don't have many options in this side of OC. My sister and I both tried the tuna mayo, KBBQ, crab salad, and teriyaki salmon. Tuna Mayo (2.5/5) was decent, but a little disappointing. I was excited to try this flavor, since it was my favorite during my trip to Japan. I think that there wasn't enough mayo and the tuna didn't taste as fresh.KBBQ (3/5) was about what I expected. Good, but I probably would not order it regularly.Crab salad and teriyaki salmon (4/5) were the best flavors, in my opinion. I gobbled these two for brunch. They were creamy, and full of flavor. I love onigiri and I'm so happy that we finally have an onigiri place in south OC. With a few tweaks, I think that this can easily be part of my regular food rotation whenever I'm in town.

One of the few places open late in the area which I really appreciate. Had the Onigiri quartet. Due to smaller size ended up getting 2 orders. Tried the salmon and kbbq. Salmon had better flavor since kbbq was very bland. But tbh both were just ok in terms of taste and consistency. Rice ball didnt hold up well and wish it was stickier or toasted. Overall for the price its a bit lacking. But service was friendly and offered indoor seating. 3 stars.

Got this as a take-out. Was excited to try an onigiri store in South OC. Unfortunately, do not think it was worth it at all. We got the:- Oniguru Rice Ball Quartet (3/5): We got salmon, crab, vegan, and tuna. Nothing memorable at all... everything was so "mid." Ratios of filling to rice.. seemed like there was a lot more rice. - Shrimp Oniguru Rice Bowl (2/5): Shrimp are so small. Together with the rice, everything tasted even more bland than it was. I think there was also sauce in there somewhere? But seriously disappointing. - Spicy Garlic Corn (5/5): Luckily, literally cannot mess up corn. It was spicy, and garlic-y. The best part of the meal. Wanted to like this place, but was really let down.

Terrible! Not a fan of contemporary Japanese. Food was very fishy and just not enjoyable. I could not finish it. Service was bad as well- the person that was there didn't even offer a refund. Wouldn't go back and would not recommend.

It was one of my best onigiri experience. Loved kbbq and teriyaki salmon onigiris. They are olsa corn and edamame options

Super fresh onigiri!Located inside Steel Craft beer garden, its tucked in a corner on the left hand side, next to some stairs. They have fresh onigiris made to order. Ive tried the teriyaki salmon, tuna mayo, abd the kbbq prime beef. My favorite is the classic tuna mayo onigiri. The service here is always great, very nice people. I love having a onigiri place near my work, its a convenient lunch!

If I could give no stars, I would. We placed an order in the kiosk. Waited for our order. 15 minutes passed and no one made anything. The employee stated no order came through. We showed bank statements and still refused to make our order because "it did not come through on their side. " THIS IS STEALING.

I love onigri's! And Oniguru does not disppapoint. Good balance of rice and protein. I had the garlic shrimp, teriyaki salmon, and crab. My friend had the prime beef. All very delish. 10/10.

A very nice change of pace. Skip the burger and enjoy your lunch for once. The oniguru seasoning is suttle but tasty, the fillings and toppings are delightful. 3 was enough for lunch, 4 if you're hungry. I'd happily midnight snack any extras.I was new and not left to feal out of place not knowing what to order. There is some suttle background music and it's quite inside and out. Would be a nice place to eat in. I ate at the shaded tables outside.There is also a nice park and gazebo to the south. Date your wife and picnic with something new. She will appreciate it. Even if you have to remind her to slow down and sit a spell. Sounds like you.. ehh it's all of us. Go see the guru of oni and remember to enjoy life along the way.

Real good service , creative food, wish them all the best! I love poke and Asian fusion places so I hope they stay!
