Happy to see Strickland is back in OC! I was a frequent customer when they were in Irvine. This new location is in a bit of an odd location. They are on the north side of the shopping plaza facing 19th St. You can't see it from the parking lot so it's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Their Butterfinger ice cream is possibly my all time favorite ice cream flavor. Delicious in scoop form or in a shake. The chunks of Butterfinger are key. Strange because I am not a fan of Butterfinger candy bars by themself.Service is also top notch and friendly. Recently I ordered a Dubai Chocolate Pie that I saw featured in their IG. I was able to place an order in the afternoon and picked it up for a decadent post-dinner dessert. Delicious. Love their pie crust, the texture of the kadayif (shredded filo dough) mixed in with the ice cream, and the harmony of pistachio and chocolate flavors.

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago, and I enjoyed it! I think I remember getting strawberry cheesecake, and it was yummy. The consistency of this ice cream is different from others, which I loved.I do wish they had more flavors available. Not sure if the normal is 4 flavors a day, but that's how it was when I went. However, it's cool how they have a calendar with what flavors they will have for the month and what day.The workers were super helpful when choosing our flavor and they gave us our ice cream very fast. There were also no seats inside, but there was a bench outside. It's also kind of small in there so expect to be in and out.

My girlfriend and I love coming to Stricklands for their daily flavors. The ice cream is always so creamy and decadent. The previous two times we've been to stricklands we got the chance to try the Dubai chocolate bar brownie. It was exceptional. The Dubai chocolate bar had the perfect amount of creaminess and crunch. The brownie was warm and super chocolatey. We've got both the black cherry and chocolate ice cream on top of the brownie. I love cherry, so the black cherry made it a little different and so yummy. The brownie comes with whipped cream and a cherry on top. And The service is always fast, helpful and friendly here. They will give you samples of anything you like. The ambiance is reminiscent of an old ice cream parlor, which I think is very cute. Love stricklands and will keep coming back.

I wanted to revisit stricklands ever since they closed the one at UCI! I saw on the monthly calendar that they offered black sesame on a certain day and made sure to go because it's a rare flavor here! And one of my favorite flavors! It was pretty delicious. The custard consistency is the best~The inside is like a grab and go situation with no tables or anything but there are benches by the window that you can sit on and eat your ice cream! I wish this location the best of luck!!! I hope stricklands stays open for a long time. :)

This ice cream is legit. The texture is in between ice cream and soft serve. They have "flavors of the day" too. Only part that sucks is the flavor of the day runs out if you come too late. Love the texture! Will be back next time we're craving ice cream. My go to used to be Handel's, but now I found my new go to!! Parking is easy unlike some other places.

Located near Triangle Square, Strickland's rotates their ice cream flavors almost daily. At the front register, they have a sign for flavors of the day, a calendar with the upcoming flavors, and a menu of set items like milkshakes. There's also a small freezer on the side if you want to take pints or wrapped ice cream sandwiches to-go.The day I visited, the flavors included horchata, matcha oreo, and one other that I forgot. I sampled horchata and matcha oreo but was not feeling them, so I went with what I believed would be satisfying for me - a Thai tea milkshake. It was quite creamy, not super strong, but still very sweet. Not the best Thai tea ice cream I've had, but it was a nice dessert to end to end the day with.My friend got a cup with the chocolate ice cream/soft serve, and that was delicious! Kinda wished I just went for the basic but classic chocolate, too. It tasted very rich with a lovely smooth texture.Parking in the lot was easy, and the shop is at the edge of the plaza facing the street. I'd come back to try specific daily flavors if I'm in the area.

Love that they're experimenting with new flavors all the time here. Some major hits that I'm loving lately: Matcha Oreo, Andes Cool Mint Fudge, Butterfinger, and Peanut Butter. Also always love their Asian-inspired flavors like Taro, Thai Tea, and Pandan. The team works so hard to get the flavoring right and really listens to customers. The texture is consistently amazing and it's the perfect after dinner or mid day treat.

Part of the Grocery Outlet shopping center. It's tucked around the back of the center along 19th, which makes it hard to find (between Coffee Bean and 24 Hr Fitness). No parking directly in front, so you'll have to walk a bit. Fast and friendly service in a casual atmosphere. Just order at the register and they prep it for you.We saw an advertisement online for milkshake Mondays, where between 2-6pm you get to upsize your shake at no extra charge. Wife and I split a large cookies and cream shake. It was great! "Only" $7.50 - which must be the regular price for a medium shake as of Oct 2024. Everything is too expensive these days! This place is unique from other ice cream shops in that it doesn't display its offerings up front for you to see, although supposedly samples were still available.

We used to live right by UCI and the old Stricklands location was our go-to spot for ice cream dessert. We were devastated when it closed down. When we found out a new location opened up in Costa Mesa we had to come try it for ourselves. The custard is still as good as we remembered and the new owner and staff are all so friendly. We love all the flavors they offer per their calendar. I'm so glad Stricklands is back in OC again!
