Best bread around... only place I find their bread these days is the Saturday morning farmers market in Orange by Chapman University off Palm in old town Orange. The line is always long for OC Baking Company so get there early. Our favorites are the huge loaf of French bread and the cranberry walnut bread. I usually by two or three loaves of each and freeze it all in smaller portions in zip lock bags. So many bakeries have skimped on ingredients and filled their bread with fillers and who knows what else. I hope OC Bakery never does that. They have a LOT of options. Mostly they sell their bread to businesses. Only Saturday to the public and as far as I know, only at the one location. During the insane shutdown they opened their warehouse to the public weekly. It was great. Try their bread!

This bakery should not be on Yelp because it is a wholesaler who does not sell to the public. I drove a bit out of my way only to be disappointed that there is no bakery store.

Yelp claims it's open to the public Monday-Friday.Please adjust your hours and days of operation for regular customers. Very misleading and drove all the way from Anaheim to purchase bread.

I have been on a hunt for the perfect brioche loaf that resembles the brioche Sqirl uses in their famous ricotta jam toast. I have finally found it. Yes, thank you OC Baking Company for making the brioche pan loaf because it is exactly what I'm looking for! I don't have a photo of my finished product, but I was able to recreate Sqirl's famous ricotta jam toast at home or at least very close to it and I'm so happy because I don't have to drive all the way to LA for an incredibly expensive piece of toast. The marble rye loaf was also delicious! It's got pumpernickel which adds to the flavor profile of the rye itself, perfect for toast with salted butter or any sandwiches! Their loaves are huge and prices are very cheap for the quality and amount you get. For a loaf a bread, I have enough for my family and to share with two other friends! OC Baking Company sells so many varieties of breads so there's definitely something for everyone if you come early enough before they sell out!Another thing to note is that they bring in other vendors to host a pop up when they open on Fridays, making it easier for you to do a one stop shop to try a variety of things. :)

4.75/5 STARSAttended the popup hosted by OC Baking Company which usually happens on the last Friday of every month from 8-2pm. This popup had about 5-6 local vendors. My cousin really wanted me to get some sausages from Nok Kitchen which was one of the vendors there for that day but then I saw many people buying bread left and right from OC Baking Company. Tempted by my love for carbs, I ended up getting some as well. I ended up getting a cheese jalapeno brioche ($6) and a small loaf of sourdough ($5) for my cousin. Everything was so good and tasty and I would portions were so huge! Since they do not use perservatives, they recommended freezing the bread the same day for maximal freshness. Popup and Bakery requires mask, a bag to hold your bread, and is cash only for the most part! Only downside was parking was a huge mess since the bakery is located in a warehouse district although I saw some street parking. Best to go early to get all the good stuff! Will return when I finish my current stash of bread and explore more pop-ups which is the true gem here (: this bakery's bread can also be found at local farmers market on the weekend!

*Visited during Covid-19*I had found out about OC Baking Company through Reddit back in March 2020, and it was interesting to check this place out! Apparently, OC Baking usually sells their bread to restaurants and sells their bread during farmer's market in Orange but opened to the public so that the community can get their bread and support local. They have some vendors that are also here as well, so you can get a bunch of stuff in one place!I had their sourdough bread which was a HUGE loaf for $6. I actually got lucky and went during their BOGO time slots and actually got two loaves for $6. I went back and actually started trying their jalapeno cheddar. Their bread is fresh and so good that I may have realized that the other breads I've been getting at asian bakeries may not be as good hahaha. Only bad thing is that their jalapeno cheddar isn't consistent; sometimes it's more of the bread, other times you get more ingredients and it's so much better haha. Go check this place out and follow them on Instagram: ocbakingcompany and check out their updates/vendors that are there! They recently got Bosscat Kitchen there and I'm tempted to go back again and get more bread too.... hmm.

During Covid times, I have never worked as much as I have and cook as much as I cooked. But when I needed a day off, or to get terrific eats for myself and others (and bread), I come here. Master baker Dean Kim doe NOT disappoint in his baking. I have tried his sourdough, his french white, but the brioche is what keeps coming me back! I also came here and visited a few Chef friends and got their creations. Shachi Mehra from Adya (yummy Tikka Masalas and Samosas), Max from Sessions West Coast Deli (Flavorful Pastramis), Crema Cafe's baked goods (Oh gosh those beef pies were amazing), Cali Dumplings (won-tons were awesome). Tucker Family Farms, Jones Coffee Roasters, Toast Kitchen and Bakery, Chef Toys, Miss Mini Donuts, Bosscat (Miss this place for their happy hour!), Chelas, Mix Mix Kitchen. Food is setup on tables, so you'll need to bring your own bag(s) if you are buying a few things like me. Parking here can be on the streets or in their lot. Just don't park at their neighbor' spots or your car can be towed. Bring cash for OC Baking and cash/credit for others. Mask is required for entrance. Starting today, they will only have these pop-ups on Fridays. I will miss seeing all my chef friends in one place but am happy to see the next steps in this crisis so everyone can finally move on. So if you ever want to support local, this is where you should come on your Fridays from 8am-5pm. Thank you everyone that has been here, (and you too Dean!). I will visit your restaurants soon!

Thank you OC Baking Company for helping out during this COVID19 containment. Normally this is not opened to the public, but owner Dean Kim opened this for the community. Not only can you get bread here, but Dean has partnered with other vendors to make this a one stop place for food. As of April 29, the store is opened Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:00 to 5:00. Hours can change without notice, so follow him on IG @OCBakingCompany and sometimes he has BOGO deals if you know the secret word of the day. Here's a list of current vendors (on IG)@jonescoffee @adyaoc #breakofdawnrestaurant @sessionswestcoastdeli @cremacafe @calidumplingdelivery @toastamesa @missminidonuts @villaromarest
