O boy am I obsessed with O Sea!! The employees are truly the most friendly and welcoming people! Sarah, the manager was so sweet and checked in on us during our meal. Fillie (may have spelled that wrong), was our server and he was so great, gave yummy suggestions and made sure everything went well throughout our time dining in! Food was very fresh and came out quickly! I want to try everything on the menu! Very open and bright space with plenty of indoor seating. Has a modern coastal vibe. Street parking around the Orange Circle, can get busy on the weekends. Can't wait to come back!

Orange circle right next to Tabu Shabu, offers a clean, well-lit, airy and modern space with tall brick facade. Very impressive wine list to choose either bottle or glass. You can pick your own eclectic white or adventurous red flights, either 3 x 2oz pour or 3 x 3oz pour. Love the creativity here! It's perfect for wine fans who cannot choose from their very interesting list. On to the menu...Tijuana Caesar ($16.95) : Kale and baby romaine, pepitas, cotija cheese, and tajin. Love the crunch of the little pepita nuts. The dressing for me was too creamy and lacked more anchovy bite. Bonus points for recognizing the birthplace of the Caesar Salad!Daily Cioppino ($38.95): Fresh fish, manila clams, mussels and mexican white shrimp. Slightly disappointed that the broth was more sweet than savory - but it also has a nice spicy kick to it. Grilled rustic bread looks perfectly charred, but is actually soft and doesn't absorb the broth well, I would have preferred a crunchier, thinner set of slices - another slight disappointment.Lean and Mean Plate ($24.95): with nori rice, garden salad, grilled lemon - we chose Salmon as the protein. Beautifully presented plate and the salmon is nicely grilled crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, very good but not outstanding service, and there's room for more value here, given the prices charged. We avoided some of the other fresh fish dishes that are priced $60+. That's all....

3.5/5 O Sea is located in old towne orange, making it very crowded, but lively! I went on a Saturday morning. Parking took over 15 minute! However, we did end up finding a free parking lot right behind o sea that had a lot of spaces available. The restaurant itself is simple and cute. Since this restaurant was more dinner style, it was easy to get a table the time we went. The service is attentive and friendly. While, I did love the ambience of this place, I wished I could say the same for the food. Personally, the dishes did not align with my tastebuds, it might be different for everyone else though! I find that the food here lacked seasoning, perhaps they were going for a more clean and healthy palette? Food: OYSTERS 4/5: any oysters that I didn't get a stomach ache is great. The oyster was on the smaller side. The taste was still fresh, but could be sweeter. I was not too into the red ball fruit they got going but that's optional. SALMON CEVICHE 2.5/5: fish to chip ratio is kinda crazy. They gave us barely any fish but lots of chips. The sauce was a Thai basil creamy sauce, but it was really bland and underwhelming. The fish was also warm? I'm not too familiar with that since usually the ceviche I have was served cold. This dish is not worth the price. YELLOWTAIL FISH TACO 3/5: surprisingly the tacos were relatively cheap for the location that I'm dining at. However, it would've been great if the fish had more seasoning to it. Yellowtail had a grassy taste. The taco didn't have much going beside some shredded cabbage, several cubes of diced tomatoes, creamy sauce, and cilantro. The one thing I did like about this is that the fish batter was thin. I think people who eat healthy would enjoy this. COD FISH TACO 3.5/5: same as the yellowtail, but the cod fish tasted better. Had less of that grassy fish taste. The fish had a sweet meat, but a little dry.

I came here with my family for a birthday lunch and the food here is always great and very fresh! We made a reservation and we were seated pretty quickly. We were seated outside and the only reason why I would take away a star is because the service was a bit slow. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive. However, the food was delicious. My favorite was the cioppino. It contained a bunch of different seafood like mussels, shrimps, and fish. The oysters were also very fresh and sweet. The inside of the restaurant was decorated very nicely with Christmas decorations.

I was really excited to try this spot because I had heard good things and the name's pun is great (get it?). The interior is really gorgeous and welcoming. From the Fall menu, I decided to try the Farmed Atlantic Salmon Ceviche, the Spicy Wild Tahitian Albacore Tuna on Crispy Rice and both were so good! The portions were much bigger than I expected. For dessert, my server recommended to me the Panna Cotta of Coconut & Kaffir Lime and I loved it!

Great place for happy hour!! We celebrated a birthday here on Labor Day (normally closed Mondays but they were open for the holiday and honored happy hour/their lunch special). We arrived around 2pm (HH is 2-5) and our party of 5 was seated right away. The place is really cute inside with cute table set ups and menus. The table is a little narrow so it felt cramped sometimes, but not too big of a deal. Their oysters that day were sooo good! Very fresh and yummy tasting. They served them with vinegar and cocktail sauce. We ordered all of the items on the HH menu except for the burger. The mussels were my favorite of the appetizers, then the fried shrimp (the fries are very good!), and last the tuna on crispy rice (definitely wasn't bad but it was my least favorite of the 3). I ordered their lunch special which included 2 items for $20. I picked the salmon skin hand roll and the strawberry fields salad with cod (cod cost an extra $10). I wasn't very impressed with this, the hand roll was very small and barely had any salmon skin in it. The salad was okay, but I actually thought it came with a salad and tacos, not just one. If I got that again then I would go with the tacos instead. Wine is half off during HH so we got 2 bottles of the orange wine, so good! Our waiter was really sweet and brought out the Thai iced tea blondie topped with vanilla ice cream for the birthday girl. We were very impressed by this dessert, it was really tasty! Overall a nice experience, good for birthdays or cute date. I'm already planning on coming back to celebrate another friend's birthday!

Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and the ambiance was amazing! It is a bit small inside but feels cozy and special for a celebration. We got a bottle of wine and shared some dishes, which were all excellent. I really enjoyed the ceviche and the aguachile. Both were so fresh and had great flavor! I am in love with the taro chips these dishes came with. The thai tea blondie sundae was also so delicious! I don't usually like dessert, but this was absolutely amazing and shouldn't be skipped!

Came here to celebrate my dad's birthday and was a great time! We got a couple appetizers and each person ordered their own dish. I got the spicy spaghetti and it was solid! Favorite small dish/appetizer was the octopus. Super tender and flavorful. Would definitely come again, loved the interiors as well -- airy and open. Service was friendly and attentive.

Was looking for a place for a late lunch near Old Town Orange and noticed that O Sea had a happy hour menu that starts at 2pm so it only made sense to come here. There's a public parking lot behind the restaurant which was perfect. The restaurant was so nice and airy. Loved the ambiance! Onto the food, I ordered half a dozen of their HH oysters which were the sweet minters. Also ordered the HH mussels (spicy), HH shrimp, and the salmon ceviche and a cup of clam chowder off their regular menu. All of the food was really good and the seafood tasted fresh. The sweet minter oysters were small and didn't have much body to them but I didn't expect much from happy hour pricing. The clam chowder was a little thin and tasted more like a bacon and potato soup with 3 clams on top. The salmon ceviche didn't have much flavor and bite to them like I would expect from a ceviche. The taro chips they came with were really nice and crunchy though! Now onto the standouts. The HH crispy hot shrimp were so plump and juicy, with a little smoky kick to them. The fries that it came with were perfectly crispy. The mussels were also plump and meaty and the coconutty broth it was cooked in was divine! My friend and I were sopping all of that light but savory broth with our bread. Service was great. Our waiter came by a couple of times to check up on us. Granted, there weren't any other tables that they were waiting on (since the other few tables were already done with their food). Overall, I was very pleased with my meal and all the fresh seafood. Would definitely be back for happy hour!

I was craving seafood and oysters so I searched for a seafood restaurant in Orange County. I was very happy that I chose to try this restaurant because it was absolutely amazing. First the interior of the restaurant was very open with the high ceiling and has a nice decor. Our server Ava was really good, very attentive, and provided good recommendations since it was our first time dining here. The highlight of this restaurant is the amazing food. We started with the oysters in a half shell which was very fresh and tasted really good. We then had the clam chowder which was also amazing having fresh shell clams and bacon. Our main dish was the grilled steak bulgogi and Cioppino. Both mains were very delicious and full of flavor which you can taste on the first bite. I will definitely come back and try the other dishes on the menu. Definitely good eats!
