This place is located in a strip mall, plenty of parking. Restaurant started out being 1.99 for their Cornish game hens and rice for dirt cheap 30 years ago, today it's 10.99.They do require that you purchase a drink from their menu because their food is so inexpensive. Chicken came out crispy, rice is lightly seasoned services with pickled cabbage. Simple yet tasty and best of all, inexpensive. People are nice and friendly.

Just moved to fountain valley and discovered this lowkey spot. I ordered #1 com ga, it's a good amount of food and the chicken dipped in the sauce is amazing. I especially love the red rice. My bf got #9 chicken with char siu and he loved it too. They have a new item beef rib pho which I'm definitely coming back to try. All the dishes are about 11 dollars which is such good value in this economy. They also have roasting water if you wanna get drinks too. They take card no min charge during my visit.

I have always been a fan of 1.99 restaurant, so I was SO HAPPY to hear that it was returning to Fountain Valley. The red rice is so simple, but so good and nostalgic to me. The chicken is also so crispy and flavorful, but the SAUCE is unbeatable. I am also glad that they sell the sauce in a jar too! I bought it and ate it with chicken at home as a healthy alternative. It's located in the Roasting Water, so you can get your boba fix and eat good food! I love the interior because it's decorated with all these plushies and cute things. Service has been good as well. I have been back a couple times since it's opened, and will keep coming back!

I came in to try Com Ga here since I am around the area for work. The food is as good as their sister restaurant in West Minister. In fact, I like this place more than the one in West Minister because the chicken is more crispier and the egg is sunny side up. The sauce and salad is tasty and well-balanced. I also got Vietnamese tea but the tea is average. Nice customer service and ambiance is very transquil!

An absolute classic within the community. Their #1 with Cornish game hen is a must. You can also buy jars of their blackened chicken sauce, such an addicting sauce.

Chicken here is super nostalgic and never disappoints! Get extra sauce (it's $1 but worth). I just don't recommend eating inside the restaurant - there's a nasty sewer smell every time I come lol. Get to go and you'll be good.

still love the food here. only thing different is ... you order at the cashier first then take your letter and take your seat.

Chicken was crispy, and I liked the orange rice and dipping sauce. I would eat this again.

The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned to enhance its flavor. Paired with a bed of flavorful rice, it makes for a hearty and comforting dish.
