NeoTsai Grill Teriyaki

Arrived from Mammoth on a Sunday and my son and I were craving something fast and different other than In n Out, Del Taco or a chicken sandwich and fries. Many of my other teriyaki establishments I frequent are closed on Sundays so I pulled this place up on yelp. I understand that it went through a change of ownership and I didn't know the past proprietor but was willing to give the new ownership a try. It was pretty quiet and no customers so that was good for us because we needed food fast, but also hoping it would be something tasty. So the cashier was very friendly and attentive with her greeting. She took our order quickly and gave it to the cook. I was worried that they were not busy now while waiting but we received our order quickly with allThe condiments we needed. We took it home with no high expectations but as we ate we felt that the food was pretty good at its price point. The chicken was tender and tasted as good as my other go to places. The rice and vegetables were fine. My foodie son enjoyed the quick meal and was satisfied, as well as myself. I'd go and give it a try and another chance to prove their worth.

Only came here because I needed food in my system before grocery shopping at Vons across the street. Upon entering I was the one who initiated the greeting with a "Hi, Hello" while the front cashier was on her phone. Then I gave my son a look thinking we should walk out lol. But I was already close to the counter. So I ordered a steak plate. Then I told my son go order food for himself next door at the breakfast cafe.The meat was gross. It looked & tasted like meat that was cooked in boiling water. It was cut all wrong. Thick & thin sized chewy meat. The sauce was horrible, no flavor & a thick consistency. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good when I saw it wasn't run by anyone Asian. I was right.

Sounds like the previous Asian owners are no longer there. Such a shame because I instantly noticed the portions are so much smaller now. No longer the plentiful large pieces of chicken. Now it's barely a chicken thigh's amount of chicken and a "large" bowl is $10.50+ tax. I'd rather go across the street to Flame Broiler now. Used to frequent this place and now I won't be going back.

Well, I hate to bash my once favorite teriyaki spot. But... unfortunately they've gone downhill fast. When the asian couple ran this joint we used to get a good portion with actual chunks of chicken. Now it's like they're trying to make a small piece of chicken look like a somewhat portion. It's like they cut the chicken in pieces then shred an spread. With Flame Broiler and Waba in the vicinity they need to step there game up. I'll give it one more chance, then I'm out... for good.

This was a massive yelp let down. 4.7? I don't think so. I feel bad because the staff was very nice and friendly but the quality of the meat was pretty awful. The chicken was dry and stringy. I feel that most Teriyaki places use thigh meat and it is not dry. This is not the case at NeoTsai. I ordered the combo and the beef was also not good quality. Won't be back.

Delicious frappe and amazing service. Will be coming back and trying a different frappe flavor with boba

I honestly just didn't like it. Spent about $17.50 on a chicken/beef plate no beverage. Asked for green onions & they said it was an extra $0.50 charge. In my opinion green onions should be part of the plate. Portions were okay but for almost $20 it wasn't worth it. I just wasn't overall satisfied as a teriyaki lover it didn't taste very fresh and flavorful to me.

Nice and friendly new owners but sadly to say, the quality and taste of the chicken teriyaki plate is just not the same as it used to be. I hope the best for the new owners but I don't think I will be coming here again

Food quality is way down hill ever since the old owners were there. Tasted and smelt like dog food and made both of us sick. Disappointed because i used to love this place.

Lovely family owned establishment. I amGreeted with a smile every time I visit. The food quality is amazing, the price is affordable and it is great to support a local small business owner. We will be back several times as a week as I have been lately. So delicious and healthy!
