My Thuan Supermarket

This supermarket looks like a vintage market, with most of their store, shelving and refrigeration looking from the early 90s if not earlier. It could be fun to walk around if you like walking into something that looks kind of like a time capsule, or if you just want to get your usual Asian groceries, this is a good place for it. Firstly, I do want to mention that the parking here is quite insane. It's shared with other businesses inside a plaza and busy street. Parking is tight along with parking spaces are going to be freed up for about a minute, then someone will take the spot right after. At least that was the case coming here on the weekend. I came here to check out the next door dim sum shop (check out my review for Dim Sum Co. if you'd like), so I also made a stop here. They have pretty much everything here. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruits, dried/preserved items, a limited Chinese/Vietnamese herbs for soups, meat and seafood department, and a very huge frozen-everything department! The frozen items included seafood, saw some Filipino items like pandan in their frozen section. They also have lots of bulk items here...like 5 lb+ bags of pho noodles and things. So worth coming here for groceries...there are lines on the weekends here.

I like the store has a good selection. It's small and compact in the parking is horrendous, but it has all the necessary things. Plus they have dim sum outside at the dim sum Co. cashiers are usually pretty rude, but I still come back

Following my fail attempt at Thuận Phát market, I figured to give this one a try, well it was a mess for parking maneuver, cars going all different directions because all the people like to park their cars close to entrance causing this congestion, me on the other hand tried to move away from that, because I didn't mind a little bit walking.Plus they have a dim sum to go food restaurant on the side, people were there waiting to pickup their orders as well, total chaos.Then you get inside and found out all the stuffs you bought from Thuận Phát are available here for cheaper prices.Plus they have rau muống here, fully stocked and fresh too. I wish I knew sooner, I bought the stuffs I needed and get out as fast as I could.Now that I understand why people from other counties came here for groceries because it's cheaper in OC, you can't beat $1.99 rau muống vs $5.99 San Diego jeez.The parking lot definitely smaller and also the shady people walking around and casing your cars, so make sure you don't leave any valuables while you shop.

This supermarket is so lazy it's only 6 they close at 8pm i ask them to ground meat for me the meat guy was like oh I clean the machine already I can't ground it like what kind of answer it that what you can't clean it again like you have an hour to clean it make no sense. And then last time fish too same thing never again I come back to this store. no star on texting experience. And then the whole store only 1 worker for meat department when in the fish is like 4 or 5 people just standing in line waiting.

The good:This market had custard apples! I was very surprised. It was expensive ($11-12) but the fact that they had it was pretty unique. Their prices for everything else is very fair or cheap. I found all of my Vietnamese food needs here. I liked that they played Vietnamese music inside too. The aisles were well organized. They also have other tropical fruits like longan, rambutan and durian. Their durian prices were better than the prices I'm used to in NorCal.The bad:They didn't have the brand of grass jelly that I typically like to get but I got two alternatives that'll hopefully be okay tasting too. They didn't have disposable chafing dishes either. The parking lot is on the smaller side and they don't have a cart return area. The interesting: There's current a sriracha sauce shortage.

It happened today , my mom went to this supermarket she was trying to buy piece of pork ( frozen ) then she asked a guy from meat department to helps her cut the pork into 3 different cubes, but then the guy said to my mom " I remember you , you came last time and wanted to buy the pork then you left without taken it . this time after I cut out the meat you better take it . I dare you to go tell my boss " . First my mom never done that before , she takes what she buy!! Second we rarely go to this market and most of the time we buy fish. Third I'm not sure how they train their employees here but their service is SO WORST, they don't have any respect for their customers ( at least the friendliness) since they are working in this sell- buy industry.

Have you visited My Thuan Supermarket in Westminster, CA, recently? I have, and it was my first time, and I'd almost pass out walking through their meat and seafood department. The super foul, spoiled stench was so powerful that even if you wear some kind of mask, it won't do you any good. I'm very dumbfounded by how they pass the health inspection because this is a public health risk to me if someone passes out or something worse. Also, their selection of products isn't that large compared to other Asian supermarkets around. I would stick to your ABC, Shun Fat, and 168 supermarkets if you want better prices and selections.

This is a super market, clean, good prices and sale items, more wider space to roll your cart . Better than other neighboring Asian market.

This market sale everything few dollars more expensive than some others market and some of their staff are not nice...
