MRK Public

Plenty of parking.One can never go wrong eating at MRK. Great menu something for everyone, everything is fresh and made to order. Most days they offer some form of a off the menu specail items. Tonight they had pastrami which has great flavor. Also order there vegan chili fries which were great.

Great find in San Clemente. The service was exceptional. The restaurant smelled so good that we chose to eat inside, although there was plenty of outside seating. We both had the banh mi (mine with tofu) which were delicious! The brussel sprouts with hoisen and bonito were different and yummy. The fries were just the right crispiness.

Banh mi and beer is a great combo. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly waiting and cooking staff. Unlike anywhere else!

Very tasty sandwiches. Excellent and friendly service. I got a glass of wine, split the Brussels with some friends and got the braised beef sandwich. Very yummy and filling. My friend got the chicken sandwich and that was flavorful as well. We sat outside under the heat lamp and was very nice

Was visiting for a travel ball tournament and this place came in clutch for late evening takeout! We ordered the Thai Salad with Beef, the Brussels Sprouts and the Banh Mi with Chicken - everything was amazing!

What an incredible dinner! Our first time at MRK Public and we were so unexpectedly and happily blown away by everything about our experience! Our Server, Justin was excellent! His friendly personality along with his professionalism and superb recommendations made our dining experience even better. The Food itself was truly MAGICAL! I strongly recommend you BEG sous chef, Logan to make his mouth watering creation, his Smokey Tortilla Soup. How can anyone possibly make Brussel Sprouts taste that flavorful? And yet, he did! From the Cucumber Mint homemade salad dressing to the Brown Betty Sweet Potato Cake dessert, we were served a delectable treasure of unique flavors and delights! We will definitely be back for more! Thank you for the experience!

We LOVE coming to MRK! Food is always amazing and great friendly staff! Thai salad with steak is my favorite! But we haven't had anything on the menu we didn't love.

Food was delicious, once you got them. We waited for our sandwich and soup for 50 minutes. Server did zero check-in in the interim. Three other tables were seated around the same time as us and they were served way before us. We felt like most clients were locals.Ambiance was good but the unusually slow service for our particular table left a bad taste. Will not be returning.

Food is exceptional across the board, however, their pork belly Ban Mi sandwich is the BEST sandwich I've ever had. The Chilli Fries (a delicious bean and lentil chilli) are also a hit. Staff are lovely. Service is friendly and inviting. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

A friend and I tried this non-descript restaurant because they had vegan AND meat dishes. We were not disappointed! I had a burger and my friend had the vegan sandwich. The burger was awesome, but then I got a bite of the vegan sandwich and was blown away. The food is outstanding here. The hometown beach restaurant vibe is ideal for me. Very laid back. They have a good beer selection on tap, but I don't drink so can't comment on thatI highly recommend MRK Public for a unique dining experience! Seems like all restaurants are getting pricey - welcome to California - this place is no exception. $17 for a burger or sandwich.
