This "sniffs in" at 4.5 stars in the name of healthier eating...There was a catered lunch at work and we were able to get a taste.SPICY CURRIED COUSCOUS:-- very yellow curry color-- the taste of mayo really builds as you eat more and more so it seems like there is a good amount adding creaminess-- very tasty-- spice builds for this low spice eater but still LIGHT spice-- chopped carrots, baby spinach, roasted cauliflower bitsRATING = APESTO CHICKEN CAPRESE SANDWICH:-- medium strong basil pesto amount-- flavor is nice-- mixed greens-- bread looks ciabatta and holds up to ingredients-- balsamic glaze is good-- not dry nor moist-- marinated red peppersRATING = A-ROAST BEEF w/BACON SANDWICH:-- sesame white bread roll is pretty good-- very flavorful and tasty sandie-- more on moist side than dry side-- very tasty sandie-- bread holds up to the ingredients-- everything comes together nicely hereRATING = A

Mendocino Farms is reliable reasonably-priced sandwich/salad option...most of the time. My faves are the Chicken Parm and the November to Remember, turkey sandwich they have at Thanksgiving. They also do a decent Chinese Chicken salad and my husband is addicted to their Impossible Taco salad.I've never had a problem until my last visit when I ordered Turkey Avo Salsa Verde without the jalapeno salsa aioli and the pickled peppers for pick up for my daughter. They forgot to leave off the jalapeno salsa aioli so the sandwich was too spicy for her. I tried emailing a complaint via their website but never heard back. Sigh.Mistakes happen and next time I have a mod, I'll have to double check before I leave.

So my wife and oldest daughter ordered take out because they were in the area. It's at least a 20 minute drive from where we live in Irvine. At my request, they ordered for me the Peruvian Steak Sandwich. When I opened the wrapper, what do I see? A turkey sandwich. Mind you, I never order a turkey sandwich anywhere. Why? Because I don't like turkey sandwiches. There was no viable remedy. What was I supposed to do? Drive at least 20 minutes there, wait while they make what I ordered, and then drive at least another 20 minutes to bring it home? I ate half the sandwich in disgust because I needed to eat and tossed the rest. This is an example of why I no longer patronize any of the eateries in the University Center which is across the street from UCI. Draw your own conclusions about this. I can't speak to the "ambience" because it was a take out order, and I wasn't there.

Yelpers!! Staple salad for me is The Modern Cesar salad with chicken dressing tossed in . Kale mix with avocado, crunchy baked quinoa, parm, tomatoes and chicken ......so freaking delicious and has a satisfying crunch.

A bougey sandwich experience. Every item on the menu is packed with flavor. My go-to entrees are Peruvian steak sandwich, pork belly banh mi, and Thai mango salad. My only complaint is the small portion of meat used on sandwiches.If you haven't tried the fresh, flavorful food offered at Mendocino Farms, it's time to!

This is the third Medocino Farms I've been to. Located in UTC, it's quite spacious and offers a large selection of seating. I also found the staff to be friendly and approachable. I like how quickly they finish orders here. We went to the one that just opened in San Juan Capistrano and it took 50 minutes to get our Avocado Turkey Salsa Verde Sandwich to be done. Happy that we only waited around 15 minutes here.

The service is phenomenal as expected for a Mendocino Farms restaurant. The ambiance is fun and simple.The Turkey Avo Salsa Verde is my favorite sandwich from here. The turkey is always excellent, the salsa packs a tasty punch, and the avocado gives it a creaminess to die for. I'm a regular for a reason, Mendocino Farms is reliably delicious!

If you enjoy finding long pieces of string that look like they came from a mop (they claim they don't have mops this color) in your sandwich, this is the place to go!!! See the picture below, that was found while biting into a sandwich from here...of course I let them know about this and it looks like your health and piece of mind is only worth 2 free entrees to them...of course their "investigation" did not come out with any findings but they're truly sorry and would like me to give them another chance...completely insulting and out of touch...Irvine health department here we come!!!

Love this mendocino location! They have a huge indoor seating area as well as a pretty big patio. Seems like it would be good for big groups as well as for anyone looking for a casual lunch or dinner. My favorite sandwich from here is the not so fried chicken sandwich and it's so yummy with the two sauces that it comes with. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything on the menu though. I ordered through the app and my sandwich was ready by the time that it said it would be ready.
