Ordered for delivery, so this review is only about the food. THE FOOD. - Mangia Bene Salad | Big salad energy. Lots of chicken and mozzarella cheese amongst the artichoke hearts, red onion, and yellow bell peppers. Balsamic vinaigrette adds acidity and sweetness to this salad. - Maiale Pizza | Loved the toppings on this pizza! The flavorful sausages and creamy ricotta stood out for me. I also liked that the crust wasn't too thick and the fresh basil was a nice touch. - Zuppa Inglese | Creamy, sweet and raspberry tart to balance. Finding a side of complimentary garlic bread in our delivery bag was a cool surprise! THE RETURN? Yes! I can't wait for another meal from here.

Some things don't change--and sometimes, that's exactly the point. Mangia Bene has been part of our lives for two decades, a place that feels more like a warm embrace than just another restaurant. It was a favorite of our now-grown kids back in the day, and even now, when they visit, it's still the go-to spot. The menu? A mix of Italian classics and unique offerings, large enough to feel like an adventure but familiar enough to feel like home. You'll likely be greeted by a high school-aged hostess, dressed appropriately, smiling nervously but warmly--the kind of kid who's probably working their first job. Over the years, I've seen hundreds of them come and go, all well-trained, polite, and attentive. Then there are the servers. These folks have been here forever--seriously. They ask about your kids, your life, how you've been. And it feels real, like catching up with an old friend. The garlic bread arrives almost immediately--a plate of sliced perfection you'll promise yourself to ration, only to devour the entire thing. The specials? They've evolved over the decades, sure, but not in a way that feels jarring. Just familiar tweaks on the classics, and somehow, that's exactly what you want. For me, it's the LINGUINI AND CLAMS. Every time. It's consistent, comforting, and I rarely order it anywhere else because Mangia Bene has set the standard. The bar, meanwhile, is a world of its own. Regulars line the stools, some familiar faces, others strangers who'll treat you like you're not. This isn't high-end Italian dining. It's quality comfort, both in the food and the hospitality. And sometimes, a place like this--a place that doesn't try to reinvent itself every six months--is exactly what you need.

This place has been here forever so they must be doing something right... located on La Paz near the Sprouts and Home Depot center this has plenty of parking and easy access.Service is very good and sometimes a reservation (not always) is best to ensure a quick seating. As most people know the garlic bread they bring to every table is legendary. The best 2 items on the menu in your opinion are the Pesto Gnocchi and the Lasagna. Order either one of these to share and then order one of the daily specials to share as well. Full bar and indoor or outdoor seating.

Was looking for a nearby Italian place and ended up here. The decor is traditional and nice. Large tables for families available. Portion sizes are great. Service is helpful. Unfortunately the food is just not that great. The pizza was pretty ok and the minestrone soup was ok but the pasta and the steak was lacking. The food is more American than Italian. The pasta was just soft and limp. The food was more like fancy cafeteria food. For the prices, there are better options nearby.

The food was great, the server wonderful and a nice place for dinner. The young hostess kept us standing there when we walked in as it sounded like a personal call she was on. Then she told us we were early and could go sit at the bar and wait for the rest of our party to arrive. We asked her where she was going to be seated when the full party of the 9 of us were there. She showed us the worst table in the restaurant, way in the back corner where we couldn't see a thing and next to a family with 2 loud children. I asked if we could have one of those round tables in the middle of the dining room, and she said they are not big enough.I went over to the Manager, and he said of course, we're here for you. He was a doll! I think the restaurant as good as it was, would flow better without that young hostess, who we caught rudely talking loud enough about us to 2 other servers. Not cool!

One of our favorite things to do is sit at the bar for some well made drinks and good food. It's a sizeable bar and we can usually settle in no problem even on a weekend night. Everyone who works there is very personable and fun to talk to. I pretty much always get the Mange Bene salad with blackened chicken. I like it because they put a ton of stuff in it, not just lettuce. Also, their salmon dishes are solid and the pastas and pizzas are yummy.

Second time visiting Mangia Bene Cucina. I ordered the Cioppino special and it was full of clams, gigantic shrimp, calamari, and scallops. The tomato sauce was good but I had to add pepper flakes and lemon to make it better. I got a dirty martini with Gorgonzola stuffed olives that made me very happy. For dessert we had the tiramisu and I was delicious. I'm normally not a fan of tiramisu but this one was a winners. The lady fingers were soft but not soggy. I could have eaten a second one!Every buss boy we interacted with with helpful. Our server was busy but she made sure we had everything we needed. I was there with a party of 8 and the service did not lack.

I was really disappointed with my take out meal today. I paid $20 for spaghetti with olive oil and garlic. The portion was very small. But worse, it was inedible, I had to throw it out. It was drenched in what looked like 12 cloves of garlic so that all I tasted was bitter garlic even trying to pick at parts with less garlic.

This is nice low key restaurant with decent food and casual atmosphere. Gabby our server was beyond amazing, she really deserves 10 stars... the food is good and pasta portions are generous. My go to is #43 and its been consistently good. My husband got the mixed seafood linguini and he said it was good but the tomato cream sauce on #43 is tastier. The entree salad portions are on the smaller side though, so if you only want to eat salad as entree it may not be filling. The garlic bread is too garlicky for my taste, I like the texture but wished they had less garlic (it has a bitter aftertaste). Overall food is good for a casual neighborhood Italian place, its not a fine dining experience but I do recommend them and we do go there every few months.
