Mamma Mia Restaurant and Bar - Fullerton

We had a long day at the office and decided to find a place to eat in Fullerton. We stumbled upon Mamma Mia and couldn't be happier that we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, with great music playing at the perfect volume.The service was outstanding--everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. Amy, our server, was fantastic, and Susie, who seated us, was so sweet. We ordered the garlic bread, a couple of glasses of red wine, the spinach ravioli, and the cheese ravioli. Every bite was absolutely perfect--easily the best meal we've had in a long time.We can't wait to come back!

With a long wait at our initial destination, we noticed this new, highly-rated restaurant nearby. Service was especially friendly, welcoming, and helpful (5 stars). We started with the Calamari ($18); tasty and "typical" -- with a heavier batter than we prefer. Hubby enjoyed his savory pasta entree of Mia's Fettuccini ($21), while I found my Capellini Pomodoro ($17) more on the tangy side; the first thing that stood out was how piping hot both entrees were when served -- which we both appreciated the temperature, just surprised.For an Italian restaurant, I was disappointed in their selection of Italian wines -- which made my selection for a red wine easy, as there was only one. Relaxed and casual, offering indoor and outdoor seating.

We heard a lot of great things about Mamma Mia's restaurant and decided to give them a try. We ordered a few dishes for takeout. The service was quick and polite. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered:Meatballs- We got the meatballs as a starter to try out. The meatballs were pretty good but not close to the best I've had. The sauce had great flavor to spoon over the meatballs. Bolognese- I really enjoyed the bolognese pasta. The sauce and meat had really delicious and rich flavor. It was interesting how penne pasta was used, I'm used to bolognese being with longer spaghetti-style noodles. Overall this was the best dish we tried. Calzone- Lastly I love a good calzone so I decided to give this one a try. The filling and the marinara dipping sauce were great. The calzone dough though was a bit flimsy and floppy with no crisp whatsoever.

Plenty of space! There are plenty of outdoor tables and inside is also spacious. Came in on a Thursday, and given it is still their soft opening, there weren't a ton of people.Waitress was great - she was super attentive and helpful. We got a bit of everything based on her recommendations. We ordered:- Mamma Mia Stromboli- Mia's Fettuccini + Chicken- Bolognese- The 951Stromboli was a great start - love the pizza dough and it was just the right crisp to get our meal started. The chicken was generous on the fettuccini which we appreciate. The bolognese was a bit watery to us and the pasta was a bit more soft/cooked than I would have liked. Finally, the pizza was a unique experience - no sauce and the jalapeño definitely gave it a kick. They seem to have a pretty good happy hour and its a great spot to hang out with a group of friends.

I've had the distinct honor to try many of the better pizza places around the Fullerton Library, but I have to say Mamma Mia is serving up the best pie in the vicinity. Not only was the crust perfectly chewy and not super floppy, but the roasted garlic was super delicious. I'm a fan of any place that knows how to roast a massive load of fresh garlic. top it like they've never been accused of being stingy, and even bring it out garlic & olive oil dipping sauce upon request.That, folks, is the definition of a joint that is spreading all the garlic love.The place is clean, spacious, and as the evening wore on, super lively. You should have no problems getting a place to enjoy the evening here.Now step two for me is to get my hands on some of the awesome pasta dishes I kept seeing being brought to other tables. I''m sure their pasta game is impeccably delicious and satisfying as well.

I am so delighted that my favorite italian place is now so close to home here in fullerton! So glad to see the same menu here as well. My experience here was overall great even with a small Hiccup. Thank you to Alex for helping resolve the issue. If you are looking for Italian, this would be my recommendation. FOODRose Penne pasta- 5/5 This isn't on the menu but I mentioned that in their riverside location they had a build their own pasta and they were able to accommodate for us. It's the perfect blend of creamy and fresh tomato sauce with the penne cooked to perfection. Chicken Marsala -5/5 This is what everyone loves in my family, this is the must try!Ribeye- 3/5 Initially the first ribeye that they brought out to us, smelled very funky and tasted as it smelled. We mentioned to Alex that it smelled very cheesy and almost like wet dog and he immediately replaced it. The second ribeye that was brought was significantly better, but still had a slight funk to it. We've ordered this many times in Riverside and have not tasted this flavor in the ribeye so I'm unsure of what happened this day. Salads- 5/5 their salads here are amazing as well, so fresh and crisp.SERVICE5/5! Service here was phenomenal. They really made sure that we enjoyed everything and were very quick to bring additional waters or refills on drinks and Alex really made our experience even better by helping with the steaks.Overall, I can't wait to come back here and eat some more delicious Italian food

The food was so good. The service was great. It's lacking a little bit of the Italian ambience, but for the most part, the food was phenomenal and the service was great and I can't wait to go back.

I'm just going say the desserts were great. The customer service was great Unfortunately the food was not very good. Ordered lasagna. The top was my lasagna and the cheese was severely burnt the sausage that you use. It was so spicy. I could not even enjoy it or the sauce couldn't tell Italian food supposed to be about flavor, not spiciness the scampi was also too spicy. Could not enjoy it pretty expensive lunch with poor food quality.
