Incredible dedicated gluten free breakfast/lunch place. Blown away by the made to order cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven on a cast iron skillet, and their out of this world sourdough bread. I've been a gf baker for 20 years and my daughter works in a gf bakery. I am very impressed with the taste and texture of their bread, and my son, the gluten eater agrees! The staff is lovely, and it's a beautiful location inside and out. Lots of little touches of love throughout. Everything is fresh and from scratch, and it shows. The tartines and the American breakfast are fab! Also, the thickly sliced smoked bacon, hello, maybe the best we've ever had.I had the pleasure of eating there twice before heading back to the Bay and I miss it already. Fortunately for me, I was able to make room for their giant sourdough loaf in my carry on!

Tucked away is an apt description for the location of this French bistro. They have been in business for over two years and they are located in an office complex. I work in this said office complex and only found out about them today... and I only found out about them through coincidence and searching Yelp for a lunch spot with my friend. Even when I made the recommendation, I did not realized it was located in my office complex. I only realized it when I was putting the location into my gps to drive to lunch and I literally was both amused and flabbergasted. However, I'm so glad I've discovered this place! That's a very long winded way to say that I like this restaurant a lot. Their menu is French inspired with quiches, tartines, crepes, breakfast, etc. We ended up trying the lettuce blossom salad. It was beautiful and delicious. The presentation was like art and very unexpected. We also ordered the ooey gooey cinnamon roll to share with at $11, it is pricey but they make it fresh to order and it takes about 20 minutes. There's a soft center filling and cream cheese on the cinnamon roll and it was absolutely delicious. I'm coming back and trying more items now I know it is a literally a skip and hop away. Parking is in a structure and it is validated. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Please come visit and create your own experience.

What a neat little place. It's like a local restaurant feel. The owner and staff are all tremendously friendly. The food is lovely. So homey and good tasting. As for gluten free, we didn't even notice the gluten missing. Thank you my friends Melissa and Brian for taking me there for my birthday!!!

You would be surprised that Irvine doesn't have a lot of gluten free restaurants... I am so honored to introduce you to Maldon! We came in on a Saturday morning before driving to Las Vegas and got lucky to be seated inside, there are outside seats for walk ins but Maldon seems to go by reservations for busy weekends. I can definitely understand why! The food is SO GOOD. The portions are generous and practically everything can be made gluten free and tons of bakery items are made in house. The service is great and they're kind to also those who sat outside and offered blankets. The location is in office buildings but they also validate parking because the only parking. Glad to have found this place and look forward to returning soon :)

I'm writing this review as I'm waiting for my food. We've been here for 40 minutes and we only got water and the "latte" I ordered, but it's actually a cappuccino. This is so disappointing as it's highly reviewed. The place is cute. The workers all seem overwhelmed and discombobulated! One of the ladies from the kitchen keeps coming out with food and trying to serve it to the wrong table. I heard a couple behind us have also been waiting for over 40 minutes. What a disaster! I can't even review the food because it wasn't served and I'm about to walk out. Don't recommend coming here. If you don't have the capacity then don't seat people. GoodbyeSo the food came out and it's cold! What a joke

This place did not disappoint. It's a little hidden as part of the big restaurants in Irvine. The biscuit brisket Benedict was SO good. Hands down their biscuits are great. But the wonder here was the cinnamon roll! Baked in the skillet it was AMAZING. The pictures from the last don't do it justice! My Fiance got the omelet and he liked it as well but admit my Benedict was way better. The inside is really cute and they had live music when we went in on a Sunday. Service was great, no complaints there either. Will be coming back! Side note, you can't order from the breakfast menu on Sundays, only their brunch menu.

Doing an update, because the croissants are officially gluten free, and there is no more gluten here!!! I still need to try the croissantsOriginal review:Ooooo I love a good gluten free find!! Maldon's is 99% gluten free except for one case of croissants. I would really like to see them oust those so they can be a full GF facility but at least they are separate. The owner has celiac so I felt safe eating here. The décor is very cute, but pretty loud inside. The lunch rush was intense. They do validate parking so don't forget your parking stub. I'm glad I went early, because it was packed. The server ended up sending our order wrong and my food came out and the rest didn't come out. We finally asked after about 15-20 and they had to rush to finish. Glad we said something. Service was good until they got really crowded, this place was small so you should come when you have time.I grabbed a cupcake which was pretty good. Not the best I've had but it was good compared to many others.Hoping to come back and get a good feel for this place on other days and I can't wait to try the bread they make there. I'll check out a sandwich the next time.

I had the pleasure of trying brunch at Maldon, and I'm so glad I did! They offer an all gluten-free menu at no extra charge, which is a rare and amazing find. The aesthetic is French cafe vibes. The staff was super kind and helpful, though they seemed a little overextended with the Saturday morning crowd.I ordered the OC omelet, and it was delicious--perfectly cooked and served with gluten-free toast, butter, and jam. Such a comforting combo! The chai wasn't as creamy or sweet as I usually like, but it was well-spiced and warming. My friend had her eye on something from a special Sunday menu we didn't know we couldn't order from, but she ended up going with the French toast. She loved it, describing it as flavorful and light. All in all, Maldon is a great spot for anyone who's gluten-free or just loves a tasty, thoughtful brunch. Definitely recommend checking them out!
