This place was chef's kiss .I had my shares of Italian food and trying to find a really good Italian restaurant that serve good quality Italian food is pretty hard to find but I'm so happy that I found this place .I came here the other night to have dinner with my friends and we loved it the food was spectacular and the service was top notch! Always checking up on our table making sure we were really taken care of. Now that's a great Italian hospitality . Our waiter I forgot got his name but he was an amazing waiter making sure we got what we needed and accommodated us when it came to splitting the bill. This place is perfect for a first date or if you want to impress someone you like. The vibes gives off classy and fancy just perfect for dinner with a love one or a group of close friends I will definitely be coming back to try more of what they have to offer ! Thank you Luna Rossa for an amazing experience and excellent meal

Luna Rossa was a place that was pretty decent for an Italian Restaurant, but nothing over the top or insanely remarkable.Ordered two dishes: Capellini con calamari ($33) and Risotto ai Funghi Porcini ($31). Kind of expensive for what it was, but at least the portion sizes were decent and I had enough to take home for an extra meal.Capellini: The biggest (but not major) issue I had with this was that the ratio of sauce to pasta was somewhat lacking. When the dish was served it looked very presentable and the angel hair pasta looked like it was well incorporated into the sauce, but then after mixing it a bit I realized that almost everything immediately not visible under the first layer of sauce was all pasta, making it less incorporated towards the end. Everything else was great though, good portions of calamari, the sauce itself was great, everything tasted fresh and simple but well executed.Risotto: The better of the two dishes in my opinion. Has a lot of mushroom flavor, the rice was not overcooked and mushy, which tends to be a problem with risotto due to the cream and such. I don't do too well with heavy, creamy food so I wasn't able to get through a lot of it but for people who enjoy it and enjoy mushrooms, it definitely delivers as advertised.Restaurant ambiance is nice, they go for a more homestyle decorated restaurant and it's cute/works well. The biggest plus I had was that the walls are not very echoey, so it makes the restaurant not too loud, a usual quip I have with Italian restaurants in general. I could actually talk at a normal voice and hear the people around me at the table, and opened up for more comfortable conversation and a better experience in general. One negative I had was the singular hostess working the front was in charge of handling reservations, putting people on the waitlist, handling calls for takeout, guiding people to their seats, and even giving water to us. I definitely don't blame her, but as a result of having one person do all the guiding work there was a noticeable delay in the whole experience (coming into the restaurant up until the food comes to your table).Overall, I would recommend Luna Rossa as a good spot for casual conversation and a relaxed and comforting dining experience.

Really nice place and totally Italian decor! Our waiter was even Italian. Great food and great service. I have eaten here before and both times we all loved it. I went here for my Birthday celebration. We all chose different dishes. Ravioli with lobster, pasta with mushrooms, shrimp and cream sauce, pasta with calamari! My pictures of the rest should be obvious. We all loved it! You need to go. It's located in the Tustin Market Place compound. Great job!

Food 10/10Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10Came here on Saturday night and enjoyed my phenomenal drink and delectable food alongside with some calamari that I didn't have a chance to post because it was that good. Lol but calamari 10/10 as well. Definitely coming back to try more things. Great service and atmosphere was impeccable; I was outside having dinner with live music.

Had a good dinner here last night. Nothing over the top spectacular that deserves a five star rating but definitely a solid dinner. Started with the bread, butter (have to ask for butter) and their olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Didn't get any drinks or apps this time around because we wanted to finish all our food. We split two dishes: Spaghetti Chicken Pesto and a Pepperoni Pizza. Both were fantastic. No complaints. The Spaghetti Chicken Pesto was hot, creamy, and pasta cooked perfectly. The pizza was thin, crispy and on point. The service was also good. Nothing to write home about. Our server had a very stoic/mellow personality lol. Tried to engage him in more conversation but he wasn't in the mood haha. Super slow night for them. Only about 5 tables occupied in the entire restaurant. But the Busser was super nice. Ended the night with some cappuccino's and Tiramisu. Again no complaints on either. Tiramisu was perfect. Highly recommend this dessert. Clean and cozy atmosphere. We really liked coming here. Will definitely be back. Perfect spot to come if you want Italian food right before your movie at AMC.

tl,dr: not worth the bang for your buck.Likes:+ The Tortellini di pollo (chicken-filled pasta) was absolutely delicious. Mouth-watering tastes and Alfredo sauce.+ The style of chicken-filled pasta was an exquisite touch.+ I was the only diner there, so I had the place to myself. Not a good look though.+ Highly aesthetic interior decor. Elegant setting for a date.+ I like how the bread comes covered, so the flies don't get in.Non-likes:- The Yelp check-in does NOT work. I repeat: do NOT come here for the Yelp check-in.The offer for $50 off sangria bottle (or the 20% off mentioned by other reviews 6-11 yrs ago) has expired. Disappointedly, I paid the full expensive price.- Very unhealthy food. Loaded with carbs and fat.- Exorbitant! For the price I paid, I expected MORE protein (meat & seafood). Want more nutritional value for my buck.- Honestly my meal should've been worth around $25. For the vibes, $30 max.Gripes:- Somewhat attentive staff. At times I called the waiter but he couldn't hear me because he was on his phone.- The waiter brought out bread without butter, so I had to request it. Thankfully free refills.I had:$28 Tortellini di Pollo +$10 Shrimp + tax= $40.95

The food is magnificent and Alessandro is an absolute gentleman and so hospitable. You simply cannot go wrong here and for those who complain or give less than 4 stars, I'm sorry but you don't know what quality is.Luna Rossa is quality.Always look forward to returning! Food quality is not very good compared to what they charge. We ordered pizza, lasagna, soup and salad. Everything was so genetic. Soup has no taste and the salad you can tell the mix baby lettuce from Costco. They definitely need improvement for all the food. Not worth to pay almost $120.We won't go back.
