Lucy's sourdough is, by far, the best sourdough I've ever had.She has both savory and sweet varieties and, of course, her plain is a classic.She bakes true sourdough that has a long fermentation time.You can't go wrong. Her bread is not only delicious but, filling. The plain is classic and beautiful. I strongly recommend the focaccia, the porridge, the jalapeño cheddar, and the sandwich loaves are perfectly soft. The Everything Bagel, the seasoning is throughout the loaf and the chocolate espresso, you get chocolate without sweetness. It's beautifully rich. I have tried everything and just LOVE. Her cookies, and brownies, and coffee cake are beyond heavenly. Her brownies and fudgey and chocolatey without being overly sweet. Her brown butter chocolate chip cookies are soft and chewy, you can taste the vanilla and chocolate, the hint of sea salt both enhances and balances the flavor. It's a full sensory experience.Her snickerdoodles are cinnamon and sugar perfection with a chewy texture.I'm not only a loyal customer but, a foodie.If you do porch pickup, that's where you can get all the sweet bakes, and more variety of breads.Her loaves are generous in portion and freeze well.First class service and world class bakes.

We had the most delicious sourdough loaves made by Lucy. I like toasted sourdough, so we popped it into the oven while dinner was cooking to get a bit crispy. What came out was a wonderful experience. The crumb on the bread was perfect to our taste. The presentation of the loaves is also exquisite. I froze a loaf so that I can thaw and share it with friends who are coming over tomorrow night.

I saw that Lucy was at the farmers market in mission viejo this morning, so went over and picked up a boule of sourdough. $13. Sounds pricey, but it isn't. This is real sourdough. Crackling bite to the crust, nice chew, irregular airy pockets, and just darn good. It isn't terribly sour on the sourdough spectrum, but I enjoyed it very much. This type of bread takes days to make, with lots of needed attention. Salt, flour, water... That's it. With my new constant glucose monitor, I've been experimenting with carbs that give me serious spikes. White bread goes to 260, whole wheat I make myself to around 200, and 176 for a fat slice of this sourdough. Very happy with the outcome. Type 2? Check out this sourdough!

I picked up two sourdough loaves last night and we just cut in to one this morning and it is delicious. My kids kept asking for more. I was going to share one loaf with my mom but I'm not sure it will last long enough to share with her not only is it delicious but it's beautiful! I've already signed up to get the weekly menus and WOW there are so many choices. I'm so excited to try some other goodies. Thanks Lucy!

I have purchased bread from Lucy's Sourdough Bakery 4 times and it is consistently the BEST sourdough. My whole family loves it and it goes really quickly. Lucy is also extremely friendly and professional. I would highly recommend making this bakery your go-to sourdough stop.

I just picked up fresh sourdough bread for the first time from Lucy. Her bread is so delicious!! I try not to eat gluten and lean towards sourdough since it is generally gluten free. The crunchy texture on the outside and the soft chewy bread on the inside is perfectly baked. Her bread is amazing! Will definitely buy more and highly recommend! In addition, Lucy is so nice!! I found Lucy's Sourdough Bakery on my local facebook group. I am so very happy with Lucy's baked goods. I've gotten her focaccia bread,sourdough loaf, her brown sugar cinnamon and chocolate chip cookies so far, and it's has all been delicious and and presented beautifully. i honestly haven't found another bakery with better sourdough bread. I've loved sourdough bread most of my life and can't start my day without a good slice of bread with my coffee. I look forward to ordering and picking up my baked bread from Lucy each week! Highly recommend Lucy's Sourdough Bakery if you are in or near the Lake Forest area, otherwise it's definitely worth the drive!
