Lucky's Thai Pantry

Lucky's Thai Eatery exceeded our expectations! I came here for lunch and caught their Lunch Special. I ordered the Pad Thai and my dad had the Thai Basil- Both had good portions at a good price (iirc mine was ~$10.95) and everything came out in a timely manner. What makes a good dining experience into a great one is the service and I'd love to give our server, Linda, a shoutout- She was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.I would take my coworkers here for lunch sometime and try the rest of their lunch specials~

It's a small restaurant on the corner of the intersection with more than enough parking. I came in on a Monday night feening for some of that good good and was seated immediately. Dinner consisted of Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Orange chicken and chow mein combo. The Pad Thai was hitting different with the way I couldn't stop eating it. Unfortunately I had to share so I had no choice but to. If you're trying to play it safe, the Pad Thai is your best bet. Yellow Curry was decent. Nothing too crazy, but it served its purpose as part of dinner. The Orange Chicken and Chow Mein was CRAAAZY. This is by far the crunchiest orange chicken, I've had. No exaggeration. I had trouble putting my fork in it because of how thicc the coating outside was. The way the chicken crumbled in my mouth made me think I was eating pork rinds, except it tasted better. Sorry to all the pork rind fans out there. The dishes definitely hit the spot. We didn't have much interaction with the server, though he seemed like he was in a rush as he ran in and out of the kitchen, despite the restaurant not being that busy. Maybe there were a lot of take out orders? He also didn't come back to us for water or to just check in after giving us the dishes. But if you're just here for the food, then it's a spot you can't go wrong with.

Mostly good, overall!Mango sticky rice 10/10This has to be one of the best mango sticky rice dishes I have had! And I loveeeeee mango sticky rice. I'm always trying this at Thai places (you probably can see than in my reviews haha). This one was so fresh and warm. The coconut sauce was delicious, and they gave you a ton of it! The rice was freshly made, and the mango was perfectly ripe. It doesn't get any better. Shrimp roll 10/10Now, these are really great. The shrimps were plump and the outside wontons were crispy. Perfect texture! And the sweet and sour sauce topped it off! Yum!! Thai Tea 1/10The Thai tea was not good. It tasted off. Wasn't sweet enough like Thai tea should be. I couldn't even drink it. Threw it away. Stir fry tofu 4/10This was just odd tasting. It was tofu with noodles and veggies. It had no flavor and was so bland. The tofu was pretty gross tasting too. This dish needed some sauce or flavor. It was dry and bland. I was not about it at all. Yellow Curry 10/10My partner said the yellow curry was one for the best he has ever had. He loved it. Said the flavor and spices were all there. He typically doesn't rave about curry, but this one got him singinggg!

I loveeeee this place! AND you get a free tai tea!?! My favorite dish is the yellow curry with chicken.

The pad see ew and yellow curry are our go tos at this place. We also love their green beans. The free thai tea is delicious as well. It's a great value for all the food you get. A cute, locally owned mom and pop restaurant full of flavorful dishes!

The green curry with beef was awesome! Tender beef and vegetables. The garlic chicken was delicious. The mango sticky rice was great. The only thing that was just OK was the pad see ew noodles. They didn't ask me if I wanted any spice in the food and maybe I should've just told them I did, because that was pretty bland. Overall though, it was a good meal!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I'll definitely return. It's a casual place right on Tustin but they have made it tranquil if a little spartan.Had my favorite go-to dish Panang curry. They did a very nice version of it. It was a little soupier than I often see but the flavor was spot on. The steamed rice that accompanied it was happy to absorb the liquid.They were offering free Thai tea which I was happy to enjoy.The 2 person crew is efficient and my lunch arrived quickly. The prices are very reasonable. Give them a try!

Free Thai tea?! Say less. This is a small, cozy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating (2 tables outside). We wanted to try a new Thai place and this one was nearby. Usually, we go to Lanta Thai. We got the crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli and the drunken noodles. Both were topped with white pepper which was different. Personally, I didn't care for it on top of the drunken noodles because the white pepper flavor was over powering. But this is just their style of how they make their dish Service was good, and the restaurant is clean. Can't ask for more! I felt I had to dock a star because I do believe there are better Thai restaurants with a similar price point, but this is worth checking out, and the free iced Thai tea is a nice perk.

Second time ordering from this place. I really recommend their yellow curry and orange chicken which I ordered both times. First time I also ordered their shrimp fried rice 3.8/5 and their pad see ewe 2.5/5. Their mango sticky rice was tasty.

this place is AMAZING! I haven't had Thai food like this in a very long time. The ambience and the staff/management are the sweetest people on top of their authentic Thai fusion food. I highly recommend the golden crab & hainan chicken!! I'll definitely come back
