We had a gift card to use and ended up coming here for Happy Hour earlier this week. Service was excellent at the bar. I ordered the 2 pc bone-in chicken which was just ok, but my husband's dish - Mardi Gras chicken was excellent and a generous portion. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5 rating.

After a full day at work, the work girlies and I decided on happy hour at Lucille's. Although I've had Lucille's, this was my first time at this location. It's located right in The District Tustin plaza, really nice atmosphere, several shops, restaurants in the area. We were seated quickly, and it wasn't overly crowded which I appreciated. We came and took advantage of the happy hour drinks and food! Of course, I opted for a margarita per usual! It was a little sweet for my liking. The food however was delicious and the girls and I had no complaints! Especially the deviled eggs!! We ordered several sharable entrees so we all could taste a little of everything. Overall I had a wonderful experience here. It was so nice getting out with the girls and just having time with lovely women that have become true friends! Oh and I can't forget to compliment our lovely waiter he was honestly so sweet and attentive. I'll have to get his name to add to this review. But overall happy with our experience.

It's starting to slip again. The service was good. TBH I don't think the service has ever been horrible. I think meh once or twice, but that happens. The restaurant itself hasn't changed either. It's trying to give you the ambiance of roadside BBQ joint alongside a highway. But think more of a Disney version for people that would be shocked to eat at the actual roadside BBQ joint. They just need to add animatronics singing raccoons and opossums. But the important part is the food. The restaurant can be the latest Scandinavian chic or have dirt floors if it's awesome BBQ.The Texas Red Hot Sausage should be renamed the Minnesota Donchaknow We Think It's Hot Sausage. I think cinnamon gum is spicier. I'll pass unless it's the last thing left to eat after the zombie apocalypse. The BBQ chicken wasn't bad, but it was a tiny chicken when it was alive. The biscuits were really good this time, zero hockey puck vibes! I think that's a first. Some of the other meals looked good, some looked ok. The quality seemed to be all over the place. Which gets to the reason I'm taking away 2 stars for the food. Prices are way up, that's out of their control except to use cheaper ingredients. If prices are up, do a better job with food preparation. The cost of the kitchen staff won't change if they are sloppy or precise with their cooking times. Caring is the one thing that's free. I know your kitchen staff can do better.

Great server and the food is still just as tasty as I remember.Came here on a rainy day and we were feeling some BBQ. Thankfully the food was just as great. Server was super friendly and attentive. We were going to do Happy Hour but think you can only have it in certain parts of the restaurant which is a shame but good to know in the future. We ended up ordering the Brisket as well as the Jambalaya if I recall. Brisket is normally my go to when figuring out if the bbq is worth it. Come check this place out if you haven't already! Oh and I would take buckets of that barbeque sauce if they offered that lol

My family and in laws frequent this location for good Sunday night dinner. We never know if the restaurant will be busy, so we always make a reservation to make sure there's a table for 8. We always order of the feasts. Lol I don't remember since my sister in law does the ordering. Our servers are always providing great service. Our foods always good. And the ambiance is always fun when we're feasting with family. I do want to add-the kids menu has great variety, but hoping one day they'll add pepperoni pizza soon. =D

I signed up for Luciles Thanksgiving Feast with hopes for a great meal for my family. Please see below the picture evidenceof what really happened. We reserved the feast and received email reminders. Ourreservation was for 6:45 p.m but was not seated until 7:30 p.m. since the place was super crowded and they madeall kinds of excuses for the delay. Trying to be positive and thankful I got the day off for not cooking,we sat down and ordered. Bring us the Feast! We are so hungry! Please look at the photographic evidence of what arrived. A tray of slop came to us as I wondered if "I had just joined the military and today was the first day of boot camp?" We were charged $35.00 for cafeteria food. The turkey was under seasonedbut had a nice smoky flavor. There were scoops of corn pudding, stuffing, mashed potatoes and Mac and Cheese. Everything was bland, tasteless, and dry. The stuffing had no celery, onions, butter or seasoning. It was bread and water, slop. Tasteless. They did not give us any extra gravy to attempt to season anything. There were no sweet potatoes, or anything green. Oh, the biscuits were good. The staff was kind and did the best they could. This was the classicbait and switch experience. Look at the nice picture, hear the pitchfor a great meal, then scoop, scoop, slop on a tray is what you get. No, we will never return to Luciles.

Based on reviews I've read and my experience, Lucille's can be a hit-or-miss type of place. I've had exceptional dining with delicious food and also subpar experiences where the BBQ was dry or service was lacking. The extensive menu, house drinks, and Happy Hour options make it tough to decide, but there are some tasty options. My recent visit for dinner with friends was a pleasant one. Our server was attentive, and the food came out hot and cooked well. My latest order was the Pick 2 Combo, which included tender and flavorful baby back ribs and BBQ chicken. My two sides were coleslaw and mashed potatoes. I couldn't have asked for a better meal. The portions were generous, and I had leftovers to take home. Lucille's BBQ sauces are also a great way to enjoy your BBQ. I mainly pour the Original, but the Spicy and Memphis are excellent additions. I've wanted to get a few bottles and rubs for use at home--one day. Overall, we enjoyed dining here, and it was relatively quiet for an early dinner on a weekday. I'd be happy to grab a meal again, relax in the nostalgia-type vibe, and hope the experience continues to be good.

Ok so being from tx and tn this place makes me feel like I'm home! From the muddy water (Arnold Palmer), to the fresh biscuits, and all the fixings you can imagine!!! The fried green tomatoes had a southwest twist. Our waiter was a sweetheart and we never felt rushed. Had a nice sister day. Highly recommend.

So this is probably my 2nd time this year coming to this particular Lucille's. I'll say that the gentleman at the front who greets and seats you, does a wonderful job of sharing hospitality. Now I know there is inflation involved in eating out lately, but I felt a little unsatisfied with my meal today. My lunch partner's ribs on the other hand looked good. So I ordered the 3 meat combo, and maybe I needed to read the fine print, but it looked to be very small in portions. The Mac and cheese wasn't very flavorful or seemed rather plain today. The pulled pork almost tasted a little old. The two slices of Texas Style Brisket were good but a bit small. The Texas Red Hot Sausage was pretty good. So maybe it was just my expectations today, but it felt a little disappointing today. The service was excellent and the sweet tea was good too. So hard to grade higher than 3 stars. Of course I'd go back again, but something was off today. Enjoy...
