This is one of many food stalls located inside Mercado Gonzales. Just look for all the roasted chicken and you can't miss it. I can't speak to anything else but their signature butterflied pollo asada was delicious! So tender and juicy with lots of flavor, and a good portion for $10.99! The ordering here is confusing because you order all the way to the right side of the building, and you wait for your order on the left. The signage isn't very clear and I would've waited forever if someone didn't kindly let me know I was waiting in the wrong area.

Mesquite-fired meats inside of Mercado Gonzalez. There were way too many places to try in the food court and I was originally going to give Los Guichos another go since I didn't like the LA food truck but then I saw a pile of wood piled up outside of this restaurant and decided to come here. There was a long line and I thought it was a good sign, as you are waiting you can see them grilling with wood through a window. Service was very, very slow and the wait for the food was pretty long. Al pastor Tacos: OK, they put chunks of tomato and pineapple on top and I think they would have tasted better with just onion and cilantro. Not bad but you can find much better Al pastor in the area.Asada: Dry and under seasoned, they make the meat to order but when lines are long I think there is pressure to cook quickly and they end up cooking it at too high of heat. For both meats we ordered we didn't get the distinct grill taste we were looking for and were very tough.

This is located inside the North Gate Gonzalez Mercado. You'll see this food stall with whole chickens, and steak positioned at the glass. Right away I knew I wanted the Pollo Asado which I made on mesquite wood, rotisserie style and it looked amazing. They make everything right there as you will see the rotisserie chicken being prepared in the back. I got the whole chicken and it came with rice and beans, along with tortillas and salsa. Since I didn't want it to get cold I had it right there at their seating area and in simple terms... delicious. The chicken was not dry, it was tender and I love the little burned areas around the skin. You can have it by itself or roll it up with your tortillas, or even have it with your rice and beans. Either way it tastes delicious. Can't wait to have one again.

Today, I revisited Los Mesquites Asado with my sister after enthusiastically recommending the place. We arrived at 5:35 p.m., with just one person ahead of us in line. I ordered two tacos with both red and green salsa, while my sister opted for a rib eye torta. I left to get tamales and came back and my order still wasn't ready. I eventually received my tacos, but without the salsas I requested at the register and that were printed on the receipt. I waited for the lady to finish handing out an order to a guy after me and watched as she asked if him if he would like extra salsa. I then interjected and asked if she could get me the same. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by chewing on lime rinds in the green sauce on my taco and discovering more lime rinds in my extra salsa on the side in the plastic cup. My sister discovered chunks of bone in her torta. She was afraid she might crack her tooth so she didn't eat the other half of her torta. Additionally, we encountered some attitude from one of the male employees at the pick up counter , which left a negative impression overall. Even when they're rushing and they're slow, so just go in knowing they're slower than a normal taco stand or truck.

It's located inside the busy north gate Mercado but I feel like it makes it part of a great experience! I had the carne asada burrito and it was v yummy. The meat had the fire grilled flavor. I wish the salsa was more flavorful but other than that it was 10/10

Making my way through all the food shops in the new market, and this one is a good find! Their whole chicken is very good- even the white meat breast was juicy. Good amount of seasoning too that wasn't overwhelming. Got the mini pollo pack which seems like a good deal that comes with tortillas, rice beans and salsa. The food tastes like it's home made. I recommend it!

Inside of Northgate Market, this place is so good! I got one asada taco & one cecina de res taco, and both were so good. There's a nice smoky flavor to the meat, the tortillas were good, and the salsa roja gives the tacos a nice kick. However, it does take some time to get your order, so if you're in a rush, this may not be the place to get. Would definitely come back & worth a try!

Just okay, the steak is really good on a torta, but for tacos the steak cuts are too big and not tender.

So much potential, but the beef was inedible and all the meat tasted burnt. I was happy to drive down here and got excited when I found out that they were using real mesquite to cook the meats. I ordered ribeye, asada, and costilla de res. The ribeye was rare with no flavor. All the other tacos tasted the same, burnt. I was expecting something like tacos los cholos grilled flavor...but it wasn't even close. I would never eat another grilled beef dish from here again. The chicken and other items looked good. But I didn't try them.

I was in line waiting to order, I was watching the guy on the grill and was disgusted with what I saw. First, he grabbed raw pollo adaso and layed it on the grill literally next to cooked steak. Second, with the same gloves he used to grab the raw pollo asado, he grabs the tongs and starts flipping the raw pollo asado and cooked steaks. Third, with the same dirty gloves he moves to the side to grab the cooked chorizo. All with the same dirty gloves. I'm very disappointed.
