Lombardy's Market & Italian Deli

Strolled past Lombardy's Market on a serene Saturday in Newport Beach and decided to venture in for a mid-day snack. The deli sandwiches were just it.Piled on with extra lettuce, the friendly staff of the Market picked the veggies right from their own market to begin work on our sandwiches. Small businesses like these are the lifeblood of our beach communities!Maybe I should peruse for my groceries here, in this quaint little shop in lieu of big chain groceries. Can't wait to explore the rest of their menu!

A rellie on mine said they haven't been to Lombardy's in NB since they were a kid. They offered to pick me up a sandwich, and I'm glad they did. Lombardy's offers cold & hot Italian sandwiches. BTW, 10% off w/ Yelp check in.I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, while my rellie ordered an Italiano. The chicken in my sandwich was tender and nicely seasoned. In addition, the bread was chewy. The only downside was the price vs the amount of chicken.Regarding the ambiance, its casual here. The staff are friendly & warm.If you are near the Balboa Pier, Lombardy's will fill you up for a day of fun in the sun. They have been open for a while bc they serve good food in a casual setting.

The subs were yummy!! I got the pesto turkey one and I loved the sauce that it came with. It was almost like a ranch-pesto! So creamy and delicious. I thought that bread was a little soggy though since it's so soft. My boyfriend's sandwich was also really good. I live in Newport and have never even seen this place! It's so unassuming and I didn't even notice that it had a deli. I'm really glad that we stopped by to try it! I would come back if I was nearby and I recommend it! There isn't much seating it is more like a grab and go place but perfect to take to the beach!

A friend treated us to lunch and recommended their sandwiches- he didn't fail us. Delicious!! Review is purely based on their takeout Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Already drooling thinking about that perfect bite- the warm cheese, the flavorful meat, perfectly seasoned, chewy bread, perfect crispy edges, ...it's my only cheesesteak sandwich I can compare it to but I'd enjoy it again sooner than later.

Great little one stop shop on the Newport strip. Grab some sandwiches, pasta, freshly baked cookies and a whole selection of convenient snacks and specialty foods. They have adult beverages to take on the go as well as beach toys in case you forgot something at home. This place seems to be busy each time we come but the people working are very friendly and efficient.

Convenient market and deli if you are staying on the beach. Checked out the menu before walking there and had planned on getting the Italian Sub. I thought it was a little high but being the location I was okay with the inflated price. What stopped me from ordering was being behind another customer who ordered and watching the employee take the order at the register and then go to the back to make the sandwich, no gloves, no washing of hands. That's a deal breaker for me. Market offers the basics, snacks, booze, some frozen items, baking mixes, spices, etc.

The cheesesteak was fire; the last time I had a turkey sandwich that good was 14 years ago in Sebastopol and this was the first one I'd had since that even came close.The cannolis were perfectly crunchy, cookie monster-approved cookies, and the pasta and potato salads were solid.Yeah, it's expensive, but it's Newport Beach. Sure you could get a cheaper sandwich at Subway but they're not even that much cheaper, the ingredients are Aramark GMO trash, and you'd be supporting genocide instead of a local business.Big ups to the chill and skilled sandwich makers in the back who let me reach over the counter to get a paper bag for my basic sister's White Claw. There's also cozy bistro tables outside so you can sit while you wait.

Great neighborhood deli with selected grocery products id you don't want to drive to Pavillions. Had the caprese sandwich. Yum. Super nice,chill people working there

We picked up some sandwiches and toys on our way to the beach. They have everything you need if you forgot something at home. Great little shop!
