Ello there ! Welcome back to another review from yours truly. I am visiting CA for a conference and I am staying at the Ayres Hotel (Beautiful by the way) and needed some grub before the day started. Side note .. west coast time draaaaags for no reason. Anywho. I decided to keep it lowkey and go to the hotel restaurant and I was not disappointed. I had a classic omelet topped with an undeniably diabolical CHURRO WAFFEL! Yooooo! It slapped. The service was fast , the environment was quiet. Overall 8/10 I do recommend !

I just spent 2 weeks In Italy. Tuscany. The coast. Florence. Italy supposedly had incredible food and wine. Meh!Much of the food was good. Not all. First:California food. And the chateau as an example. Can stand up to any Italian cuisine. And when you throw in American service. Grand slam. 2 guys other than my server, checked on me. Made sure everything was ok. Making sure my beverage stayed full. Between the gourmet American cuisine (I had the rock fish) and the fantastic service So glad to be back in America. The Ayer's. And the chateau. Always hit a home run. The guys here act like they own the place. Like they have a vested interest in your contentment. Like you are family. Fantastic experience Food Service Ambiance Good job!!!!

3.75 stars, rounded up to 4. We ordered the grilled salmon and short rib tacos. The salmon was quite good, but the tacos were a little underseasoned IMO. The plate included some pico de gallo, but the tacos really needed a sauce of some sort. I've never once sent wine back in my entire life, but the Malbec wine was undrinkable. Thankfully they allowed me to switch it out for a beer. The outdoor terrace is charming and the inside dining room is a trip back to Mr. Belvedere. The service was propmt.

My friend and I stayed at the Ayres Hotel and treated ourselves to happy hour upon arrival. The garden courtyard was nice, and the weather was perfect for enjoying cocktails and apps. Our server greeted us quickly and was very personable. He shared some of his recommendations and told us where and what to see while we were in the area. We ordered the caprese, the street tacos, smoked salmon tartine, veggie spring rolls, and buffalo cauliflower. They were all pretty good. The smoked salmon tartine was the best! The fish melted in our mouths and had a great flavor. If you are staying at the hotel, you should try the happy hour. Good price and the courtyard was adorable.

Le Chateau Garden Bistro is truly a gem, nestled in a picturesque setting that feels like a serene escape. The lush flowers and cascading water fixture in the middle of the outdoor patio create a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing breakfast. We were fortunate to visit on a morning with perfect weather, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The peaceful ambiance was occasionally interrupted by aircraft traveling overhead due to the nearby airport, which caused us to pause our conversation several times. However, this minor inconvenience didn't detract much from the overall charm of the location, especially with such phenomenal service. I started my meal with a berry smoothie, which was a great refresher. While I found it needed a bit more sweetness and felt slightly "dry," it was still a decent start to the day. On the other hand, the eggs Benedict was an absolute delight. The perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise sauce, and fresh ingredients made it a standout dish that I thoroughly enjoyed.Le Chateau Garden Bistro is a place I could see myself returning to frequently for breakfast. The combination of the beautiful setting, delicious food, and the peaceful morning vibe makes it a perfect spot to start the day on a high note. Despite the occasional aircraft noise, the experience was delightful, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a charming breakfast spot.

The 4 stars are due to the excellent service and the ambiance. Their courtyard is beautiful and the servers went above and beyond. The fifth star is missing because the food is average, and although the location was convenient due to the destination we were headed to after being located nearby, I likely won't be back since I wasn't too impressed with the food. We tried the eggs Benedict, the Caesar salad, the avocado toast, and the ahi salad.

The service was great. Everyone was very friendly and always checking in on me to make sure everything was good. However, I did order my burger medium without red onions and it came with red onions(no big deal, I can pick off) and definitely not cooked medium. Calamari wasn't bad but I definitely wouldn't recommend getting a burger here.

Le Chateau is conveniently located inside the Ayres Hotel. We were in town for the OC Winterfest at the end of last year. The ambience is very nice. Outside is a water fountain. The restaurant was decorated for the holidays and they have this amazing bookshelf-like decor. (Refer to photos.)For dinner I had the fish and garlic fries which were kinda tasty. Soup and Caesar salad preceding that were okay. My husband likes getting pot roast and he thought it was good. It was the eve of my birthday on NYE and I got a slice of cheesecake which was delicious. The service was polite yet a tad distracted and it was not busy in the early evening.Just 3 stars, A-OK!

I selected a spot for my coworkers and me to celebrate both my birthday and a coworker's birthday. Everyone loved the charming ambiance, which reminded me of Belle's library with its numerous books lining the walls. This restaurant truly is a hidden gem! The food was exceptional; one of my coworkers enjoyed her dish so much that she said it brought her to tears, although I can't recall exactly what she ordered. I opted for a Caesar salad and a turkey sandwich with fries, and while it was a simple meal, it was still delightful. The service was excellent, and the staff was very accommodating. I highly recommend this place!
