La Súper Birria

Omg glad I found a birria place in the OC that is not a corporation. This place is busy even on the weekdays which is always a plus. The tortillas are made by hand and the meat has really good flavor. The girls were really nice and very helpful with the menu. Some of the name for the food crack me up.Small parking lot but big dinning area.

The ordering process is simple: you place your order at the counter, get a number, and then find a table in their spacious dining room. We tried the dorado and quesataco plates, basically beef tacos served with a side of consome but one is with cheese and one without. Both were packed with flavor. Surprisingly, three tacos were quite filling!A nice touch is the complimentary side of salsa, onions, cilantro, and limes that come with your meal. The only downside was the price (it was $3 more for the queso tacos), which is a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try and plan to return soon with friends.

When we walked in at 8:15 p.m., the staff refused to serve us even though the restaurant's hours of operation ended at 9 p.m., saying they didn't feel like working anymore. They kicked multiple people out of the restaurant rudely.

We came here about 2 months ago before they started to close early to do maintenance. It seemed the same inside besides the register being moved to a new location. We ordered and the food came out extremely quick. I got the Birria tour and my boyfriend got the Quesabirrias. The meat was great but the tortillas seemed so soft that our tacos were breaking. Before our tacos were made crispy which is what had us coming back. We enjoyed our meals but not as well as our very first visit. They no longer serve complimentary beans or tortilla chips which is also a bummer. I asked for a side of frijoles and the server was kind enough to bring some out for me. Really appreciated that kind gesture. The horchata was also very flavorful and not starchy at all. I'd recommend! We were the only ones dining in at the moment so it was quiet inside and some music would play from time to time.

Good service and ambiance and parking lot is surprisingly roomie. The cost is bit pricier for Santa Ana place but it's good food

Food tasted really good, however disappointed with the portions there were two tortillas and not enough meat. The place had great vibes with good Spanish music. I'd come back to different location.

The BEST birria. So good. Get the classic, big bowl of meat and consume. Excellent tortillas. You will love it. Split one for two or take it home am enjoy. Great cool atmosphere too! Yes please.

Siempre pido la torta de birria, es mi platillo favorito del menú. La próxima vez que venga, me gustaría probar su birria ramen. Los empleados siempre son muy amables y pacientes, lo que hace que la experiencia sea aún mejor. El lugar en sí es increíble, con un ambiente auténtico y lleno de esencia latina. ¡Definitivamente vale la pena visitarlo!

I was surprised to see the mixed reviews, but I must've come on a good day because I thoroughly enjoyed their food. My BIL recommended this place and so we decided to come here for lunch on a Tuesday around 11:00a.This is located off of 1st Street, between Flower Street and Bristol Street. It sits by itself, not in a strip mall or anything, so it may be easy to miss. They also have locations in Orange, Long Beach, and Stanton.The inside was kind of empty still, perhaps being early in the week and before prime lunch time, with Spanish karaoke music playing. It's like a mini supermarket with lots of snacks, condiments, etc. that's available for purchase, too. We went up to the register and ordered the sopa de la casa (house ramen birria + consommé, $14.99), birria tour (quesabirria + red taco + bomb taco + consommé, $11.99), and dorado taco ($3.29). We also got horchata ($3.99) and tamarindo ($3.99) to drink. They had a sign for Taco Tuesday so we asked if it applies right now and the lady said "yes," but I guess we didn't get the right tacos because nothing was discounted...oh well.The birria ramen was so good...the noodles were pretty chewy though (my BIL said that they make their own?), but it kept its shape in the hot soup. If anything, it's the soup that made this so superb...I can drink it by itself...and the meat, I think they crisped it up (pan-fried?) for this dish, which was a nice touch. The ramen came with one taco, too. The tacos were good, too. For the crunchy tacos, they put a crunchy shell on the outside of another shell (see pic). It's not full on crunch like the tacos at Taco Bell or Del Taco (sorry to even compare with them), but still had a nice crunchy texture.What I really liked was that they give you a condiment server that has cilantro, onions, lime, salsa, and cucumbers so that you can customize your tacos (the tacos only had meat in them for that reason, I think). I absolutely cannot eat cilantro so this was a win for me. Onions and lime, that's all I needed. Their horchata and tamarindo were yummy, too! It's like a 20oz cup, I think, but I could've had another cup to wash the food down. Btw, don't wear white! Lol
