La Cañada Grill

I love this place! Kind of hole in the wall, but it was kind of spacious inside. The workers were super nice and food was such a good deal! I got the 2 item combination with the chicken hard shell taco (SOOOO GOOD) and chicken enchilada. They have so much chicken inside the enchilada and for the combination with rice, beans & chips was only $13! I'm so happy I work nearby because I can go whenever I want hehe

Small gem with quick service, great menu, and delicious food! I've been once to take-out but I definitely plan to return when I'm back in the area. There were plenty of people in the seating area which is always a good sign.

We wanted Mexican food and came across La Canada grill and had the best food, entertainment and service! We were blown away! This is now our go to place for dinner when we are craving some tacos or anything really. Everything is great!

Ordered a total Cubana and Enchiladas Rojas de pollo. Restaurant has a fair amount of seats and tables to accommodate a descent amount of customers. Glad we were not here for rush hour. SERVICE: very fast service and they served my two plates very fast. Only one set of utensils served when there were two of us eating. Asked for water and waitresses never asked if we wanted a refill. Waitresses had taken care of her "normal (yet drunk customers) better than us. Food: served fairly quick which to me means cheap and ready to go meals. Enchiladas were ok, except that you can taste the sauce is canned Enchilada sauce. Torta Cubana salty. Meat (pork / carnitas) overcooked. Canned jalapeños. Food less than descent for a restaurant. Waitress took care of normal drunk customers rather than new family patrons. Drunk customers were allowed to wonder around restaurant talking to other customers. WILL NOT COME BACK. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Food might look descent in pictures BUT IT IS NOT.. Take it from myself and my wife, there are better places around. No tip.

Carnitas and tamarindo here are amazing! I got two carnitas tacos and two asada tacos. My boyfriend got 4 al pastor tacos. I am giving it 4 stars because the al pastor tasted like chorizo. The shrimp ceviche didn't have enough lime either. It is also pretty hot inside so make sure you don't wear a jacket. Other than that the service was really good. As soon as we sat down our server brought us chips and took our order. Highly recommend their carnitas! Yum yum yum I will be coming back for more.

We've been here three times now, the first time being a 5 star, the second a 4, and the third a 3. Not sure what is happening, but it was all within a month. The first time the food was just fantastic- from the carne asada burrito to el pastor tacos, just complete yum. The second time the el pastor was great but the burrito was really lacking in flavor, and they missed some ingredients. The third time, the meat was really chewy/gristly and it was all just OK. Going to chalk it up to the holidays and try again, because man, that first time was the best Mexican we've had in a really long time!~

This Mexican restraunt is pretty reasonably priced for the tacos we ordered. I think they were almost $3 a taco but it was cheaper than another place we went to closer to Newport that wanted $4 - 5 a taco! Also, I think they have a special each day...we went on Wednesday which was quesadilla day!We ordered chicken and asada and wow was it tasty! They actually shredded the chicken instead of having it in chunks. It was oily...but man the flavor was really good. I didnt need salsa it was so good. The quesadilla was pretty oily too but it was super flavorful and the sour cream and the guacamole complimented it very well.Lots of parking out in front and the place is big enough to fit large parties.

The best Mexican food in Costa Mesa (maybe even Orange County). They also do some specials for taco Tuesday.

The place for Authentic Mexican food. Beyond the food though, the guys here are so nice. Like eating a family's house, but you know, the family you like. Will 100% come back again and love supporting small business. I had the whole fish...fried mojarrra. Very good. Super crispy. Wife had the enchiladas which she really liked. Sorry forgot to take the pics.

Good service, great food, not to expensive and great customer service the lady on front desk was very nice
