La Aguila Market

Tengan cuidado comprando aqui. La cajera tiene la maña de cobrarte por cosas que no son lo que estás cobrando y esto resulta en un total más caro de lo que debería de ser. Hoy compré tomatillos y los cobraron como limones siendo que los limones son mucho más caros. No era la primera vez que pasa. Tengan cuidado.

La Aguila Market @ 7232 Westminster Bl., Westminster is a hidden neighbor gem. It is a very small market, however they make fresh & warm Mexican bread on the premises. They also have a butcher shop and a Mexican/ El Salvadoran deli. I came away with their chorizo & egg burrito. It was also stuffed with beans & rice. Two small containers of red and green chili come with the burrito. With that also comes a slice of lemon, cooked carrot slices, and cute pink napkins. I was only able to eat 1/2 the burrito. It was that big. I dipped the carrot slices in the green sauce and my mouth made a new discovery. Move over French fries & catsup! You have to try dipping cooked carrots in chili! The deli also serves a variety of Hispanic dishes including tamales de elote (corn) and El Salvadoran tamales and pupusas. La Aguila Market is located in a small strip mall. I had no problem with parking.

" Best Elephant Ear Pastries "I went to the La Aguila Market in Westminister, CA and purchased a container of Elephant Ear pastries. I have purchased these pastries in many Mexican stores before, and these I had at La Aguila were so good ! They had a very rich sugar taste and were cooked crispy the way I like them. This market also has a meat counter and Mexican food specialties.

Went to this, little, hole, in, the wall, today for lunch. A, little, Mexican, place located, in the, heart of Westminster. Let's beginEntering this, place I quickly noticed that there's alot of merchandise to see and organized, in a clean fashion. I can n tell that the owners care about the business simply by seing how the place runs. Well I ordered a chicken The cook was friendly and courteous. Didntvwait long for my order (about 8 minutes) Cashiers were nice and professional. Very good frist impression of this little place. Buritto was good with good flavors. The green tomatillo hit sauce really complemented thr burrito. I hate to do this to a carnicería but I'm tired of going there and getting chicken that's gone bad. First of all some of the workers there are pretty rude. I come here cause it's convenient and they carry the brand of tortilla that me and my family love. Some of the bread is good too. But selling spoiled chicken is never ok. This is the 4rd time I get chicken there and when I open the bag I can smell the chicken without being that close to it. How the heck does a butcher not know when the chicken is bad! I know they wear a mask but you can smell it even without a mask, plus this happened pre pandemic and during pandemic. It smells horrible! I'm not sure who runs this place but they should really be aware of this. Siento feo ponerle una estrella a una carnicería pero ya estoy cansada de venir a esta carnicería donde venden pollo que ya está mal. En primer lugar algunos de los trabajadores no son nada amables. Yo vengo acá por conveniencia y por que acá venden las tortillas que me gustan. También el pan es bueno. Pero vender carne echada a perder nunca debería suceder! Esta es la cuarta vez que me venden pollo echado a perder. No puedo entender como el carnicero no sabe que la carne está mal. Yo se que tiene la mascarilla pero ese olor hasta de lejos se siente. No se quien este a cargo de esta carnicería pero tiene que saber.

So,today I came in this morning to buy these shells for soup and little did I know it the bag was infested with dead worms the whole bag had a whole bunch of them underneath all the shells went back to talk to the manager and for my luck wasn't there. People check what you buy before you purchase your groceries. This is definitely going to be a wake up call and a call to the health inspection department.

This place came in clutch. Last minute party? Throw a fiesta party. Meat is delicious! I bought carne asada taco meat, al pastor, chicken, & chorizo. Everything tasted perfect! I added a little more flavoring but that's what I do with all the marinated meat I bought. I bought the tortillas, tin pans, plates, napkins, utensils, jarritos, onion, cilantro, tres leches cake, fresh cookies, etc. I'm telling you they have everything for a last minute party...o except the liquor. Go next door for that. My favorite go-to meat market. I came back the next day for more carne asada and fresh baked goods.

Amazing carne asada. Salsas are delicious, but definitely on the spicer side (for me) Breads are delicious. The coffee tres leches dessert is fantastic. People are super helpful and friendly. Parking can be tough. It can be cramped inside the store when crowded but well worth it.

Zero stars for this store, definitely avoid to go to this store. Customer service is really bad. Never go back there again
