I'm extremely picky and I have to say the food is solid at this price quality is amazing. I cannot wait to come back.Great service too.

There are so many better Taiwanese places in the area than Kingchops. We've been here a few times, and I keep hoping it will get better, but it doesn't.The service is non-existent, and you have to do everything yourself. You order via their app and pay via the app, and all they do is bring the food out. And they're always in a rush! It's never really that busy. Plus, the music is super loud here; I don't know why that's necessary. The food leaves much to be desired, as they use the same vegetables for different dishes. For instance, "seasonal vegetables" are just napa cabbage and have always been napa cabbage. Why even say seasonal vegetables? It's so misleading. The popcorn chicken is a decent dish, but it is pretty heavy and does not have flavor. Avoid the beef curry at all costs; the beef is not edible. Bamboo shoots are okay but come with a lot of liquid. I found it overall disappointing and with bad service, it's a hard pass.

Weekday lunch at this Taiwanese cafe that specializes in pork chop rice. The store is aptly named as "king" chop because the pork chop rice is huge. Unless you are sharing, this can take several days to finish. The pork chop is thin and crispy and the rice bowl is loaded with toppings. It makes quite an impression when they bring it out and if you are only seeing it for the first time. There is a bit of a wow factor. Not only does it look good, but it's good tasting also. We also ordered chili wontons, but that took forever to come out. We were finish with our meal and it still had not come out yet. The service is a bit slow so if you are looking for a fast lunch, it might be a gamble here if you have to get somewhere within a timeframe.Parking can get difficult in this center during peak meal times because there are so many stores and restaurants. The dining room has a casual vibe.Please visit and create your own experience.

Came to Kingchops during lunch and we were able to get a table immediately. We ordered two pork chop rices, steamed bamboo, popcorn chicken, spicy wontons, and the pigs ear. Everything was very well balanced in flavor but the stand out for me is the fry. The batter is super thin and has a nice crunch, I would say it isn't necessarily crispy since the pork chop is super juicy but it works!! Because who wants to eat a dry pork chop. My girlfriend and I shared the pork rice and the portion sizes are definitely shareable, we struggled to finish it. The popcorn chicken is really solid and has a thin and crisp fry on it -- the spice level is adjustable but we got mild. It wasn't spicy at all and did provide some extra flavor. The pig ear is on the softer side in texture and it wasn't much to write home about. My favorite bite of the meal was the steamed bamboo. It was packed with flavor and the bamboo melted in every bite. It was honestly addicting and kept going back for more. The spicy wontons were also a standout. The wrapper was very qq, the meat was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and it was bathing in a mala sauce that wasn't too overwhelming. The downside of the wontons were that they came out when we were basically done with our meal. Not sure if it was a fluke but the food was coming out at an odd pace. The restaurant is small and does feel dark because of the black decor. But since they weren't too busy when we were there it didn't feel cramped. Although I can see how it could be squishy during peak times.Overall Kingchops is very solid and will come here if I'm craving Taiwanese Porkchops or just another bite of the delish bamboo!

Most of the time, I find myself landing comfortably around 4 stars with minor details here and there. For this location, my previous visit warranted them a 5 star award.Food is delicious and well presented. Service, normally at casual Asian restaurants, tend to be lacking. However, Kingchops in Irvine delivered otherwise. Our server, Powr, was attentive to our questions and provided additional guidance far more than some fine dining I've experience. Ambiance was an additional reflection on how other patrons interacted with him. Powr did an amazing job with other tables from my perspective. Our overall experience was nothing less than stellar. I would recommend this place based on the mentions above. Great job and hats off to this establishment. I'm happy that quality resonates across all categories.Looking forward to another wonderful experience.

The pork chop is to die for Stinky tofu is so stinky your ancestors will wake up from the grave, but you get more addicted after every bite. The cold noodles are good but not as good as other dishes.

Quick, delicious homestyle Taiwanese food. You order on your phone but pay with the waiter. Beware though, you make a tip selection online and there is an additional tip section on the receipt they hand you for some reason, so you could be tipping twice if you're not careful.

If you have a craving for Taiwanese pork chops this should satisfy your craving! Their wontons are decent but their meat dumpling (ba oan) misses the mark unfortunately and really can't compare to what you can get in Taiwan We did also get our appetizers out after our main dish came, which wasn't a big deal but something to note.This is order on your phone and pay at the register. Staff is friendly enough but restroom was a little sketchy because it almost seemed like water was not going to come out of the faucet.

Ahhh Kingchops. You are so close to being great, but I have to be honest with you. You need a remodel job. You need a team meeting anda fresh vision for yourself. You have the potential to beso great. Can you imagine lines of people waiting outside to get your pork chops? Just a few minor changesand you can become great. This is a tired restaurant. It needs to be cleaned. The menuneeds revision, modernizing. For example, last week I orderedyour pork chop plate to go. It came with rice (good), meat sauce (good)and chops (good), but the other stuff??? seaweed (yuck!) No cabbage?No corn? No fresh vegetables? May I suggest tempura? shrimp? May I suggest you improve your meat sauce? Use larger pork chops? Your pork chops are good! It is the other stuff. This is just a few minorchanges. Please do a remodel job! We all love you. We all love your chops!

Nothing much to say. Good food that met expectations, decent service, and priced properly for what they delivered.Only ask is to get an alcohol license and start selling some beers.
