Food: average at best. Small portions. Overpriced for what we bought (2 curries and a noodle). Service: can't comment on this as it was a take out order. Ambiance: it's a small mom&pop take-out with a few tables to dine-in. I picked up dinner when it was dark out, and the interior seemed dark too. I won't be returning to this place. There are other Thai restaurants in South OC that serves up food at the same price point but better value.

Yum! Really good local Thai spot - my personal favorite in the area. They have great lunch special options during the week Mon-Fri from 11 am - 3 pm and as of when I'm writing this (Oct 2024), it is priced between $12.95-$14.95 depending on what meat you're choosing. The options include a green curry, red curry, yellow curry, pad krapow, ruammit puck, cashew base, sweet/sour, pad broc, pad thai, and my all time favorite pad see ew. I went for the pad see ew today which came with two chicken dumplings and a side salad. Great serving size for a lunch on the go! I didn't wait that long and the service was super friendly. Lots of seating inside but I'd imagine it's more packed during peak hours or weekends. I'll def be coming back :) highly recommend! Parking lot is huge too so you won't have any issues finding a spot.

The strip mall that Khao Hom Thai is located in is under reconstruction now. But the store is still open. A few things to note while ordering. The dish quantity is a bit less than normal. Not a lot; but, just enough to notice. Also the spice levels are calibrating toward a more western tongue. Even at 9 / 10 spicey, it's still relatively mild for me. The tofu is also a but over fried. Seems they were deep fried in the morning and it's just added to the dish when ordered. The taste is ok. Nothing amazing. But not bad. Very edible.The dining room is a bit dark now due to the construction. I thin it's mainly a take out place until the construction is over. The service is very fast. Maybe too fast hmmm. I think they are just well organized.

Mom and pop magic. Great little spot for Thai food and yummy drinks. My partner and I had the pad see yew with pork cutlet, their noodles were the best. Cutlet was tasty! And we had yellow curry. It was a little too spicy for me, but here's where they got the 5th star, they helped balance it out for me and said to make sure to ask for very mild when I order next time. My bad! But they were very sweet about it. Also had the strawberry matcha drink, not too over sweet! Loved it! Vibe is nice too, nice music. Nice for an easy going date night. Can recommend and looking forward to trying more items in the future

We had an excellent first experience here tonight after we had a massage next door. My wife and I wanted to try this Thai place and we are so glad we did! Our server Lee (Li) was fabulous and gave us some great recommendations -- the coconut Shrimp appetizer was excellent, as was the Tom Yum soup ... we also had the Yellow Chicken Curry (very mild spicy) and the Pineapple Fried Rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and VERY hot and with fresh ingredients -- especially the shrimp!! We also had a wonderful time chatting with Lee (Li) about Bangkok where we will be visiting this year -- it was a delightful time with her company and the excellent food! We highly recommend Khao Hom for anyone craving "home style" Thai food!! We'll be back soon!!

This is our go-to Thai place on door dash! It's incredible - it shows up piping hot your door every time! The Pad See-ew is delicious! The broccoli isn't mushy but nice and crisp complimenting the well prepared soft noodles! The chicken slices are tender and delicate. The veggie spring rolls are super delicious but best eaten on the day of purchase because they can become soggy after refrigeration. It's better to live in the moment with these. The cream cheese wontons are a fun side. My 5-year old son loves these and especially the sauce that comes with! The Thai fried rice with chicken was really good! I was worried how the tomatoes would be texture wise with everything else and it was great! It added a nice overall flavor! Definitely getting again!There are no pictures because the food disappears before you know it!

I'm updating my review. Really disappointed about my recent experience with pickup. I previously left a 5 star review as the dine-in was great. But I recently placed an order for pickup as they were about to close in 30 minutes. So out of respect for their closing time and me still warning some food I had placed the order for pick up which my mom was able to go in and pick it up on her way home. Upon her arrival back to the house, I had discovered that the order she picked up was completely different than what we had ordered. So when I called the restaurant back and asked them to charge us for the food that we had initially ordered he said no. He said that it was his fault and it was our fault for taking it. Which is absolutely ridiculous for him to say to us in his mistake for mixing up the name on the orders. The order was double the price. They should've credit us more than just our soup that we didn't get. very disappointing experience as I really liked this restaurant, but this has left a bad taste and is making me second think about going back
