The food here is just ok. They have taco tuesdays for under $2 but nothing stood out and I had 4 tacos and still came out hungry (added a mediocre chips and salsa that is not complementary either). I would not be back but I hole the place last because nothing lasts in that corner restaurant. I lived here for over a decade and its been under at least four different establishments.

This Lil Hotspot my wife noticed we were at the UPS store. She said look I spotted it and said want to try it. Located in Artesia in a area some call Lil India. Right before I walked in the smell lingered of yum my nose taste buds were reacted. The menu is standard prices for a mom and pop like this, a great selection from breakfast to dinner and soups from chicken, beef, Birria de res and menudo on weekends The ambiance is comfortable mexican/Latin music playing a TV for a Lil sports. Seating is not too bad but when your popular they are waiting out the door.Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Knowledable about the menu truly like family working together. Family owned and I was told they start early in the morning getting a lot of the food ready Carnitas and other foods. So I got menudo, damn. Given the choice to have the Pata in it true traditional soup not to rich just right. The mix of homony and menudo well ballance throw cilantro and onions and oregano top that off good!So my wife got caldo de res / beef soup. She says this is the bomb the meat veggies corn well mixed do good add the Mexican rice completes it. Also ordered a taco al acart El Pastor soft taco. El Pastor is so good Well kept establishment worked for its A grade. Atmosphere = 7Wait staff = 8Cleanliness = 8 Food = 9Portions = 8I will return take a extra trip to come and try the rest of the menu

Burrito Friday! I decided to go here after a co workers suggestion and was not disappointed! The service was great, very short wait time, and the quality of food was terrific. The burrito is a pretty generous size so you definitely won't leave hungry. Would recommend you try them out!

First time here with the family. (Party of 5). After seeing the reviews and the high ratings we decide to give it a shot. The decor and interior wasn't anything special, it appeared clean but there were flies inside landing on tables and plates. Which begs the question: How clean is this place and where are the flies coming from? I could also see that our table wasn't very clean from the light coming from the window. We went around 2pm on a Sunday. It wasn't busy and we were advised that the breakfast rush had just finished. But the service was still slow. Took a while to get our food and to get refills on our waters and other requests. The staff was nice and professional, just slow. Now for the food. We ordered the Mixed Fajitas (Beef, chicken, & Shrimp), an Asada Burrito, 2 Carnitas Soft Tacos and a kids Chicken Quesadilla ($80 after tip ). I didn't try the other meals which tasted "just ok" according to my family, but the Fajitas, I'm sorry, were not good. 5 pieces of shrimp, small pieces of chicken & steak. If you look at my photos, the cooks left gristle or fat on the steak. In my opinion this is lazy prep work & cooking. Fajitas should not have this much fat on it, if any. They also overloaded the Fajita plate with so many veggies just to make it look full. So for the price of $23, not worth it for a few pieces of meat. Overall, I gave it 2 Stars because the staff was nice . Would I come here again? Probably not. If I'm being honest, you can find equally priced or cheaper options at an "Alberto's, Albertacos, or Adalberto's" or whatever they're called now. . Of course they have the over priced "Molcajetes" (shareable meal Priced at $50-60), shrimp cocktails etc which may be good, but I didn't try those, so I can comment on it. They don't serve alcohol but they have Aguas Frescas which are around $6. They definitely have strong competition within the area, so they will need to tighten up some areas to be better.

Came in here for Taco Tuesday, was quickly greeted and served. The waitress was attentive, and the restaurant seemed a bit small, but homey. The tacos were $1.69 each for the deal, and I ended up getting the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and Carnitas. I would highly recommend the Carnitas as that one had the most flavor! Make sure to ask for the red sauce as well as it was the perfect balance between heat and flavor. They're not the best tacos ever, but for the value in this area, it can't really be beat.I would definitely recommend checking it out for the Taco Tuesday deal if you're looking for a quick bite for lunch.

this is the most authentic mexican food that's not from my house. i could have sworn my grandma made this dish. i got chilaquiles with asada and an egg for a total of $20.45. yes, a bit pricey. but let's be honest what isn't pricey?? for the quality and amount of food i got, this is easily a $25 plate. our server, giselle, was so amazing! she was attentive and answered all of my questions about the menu. i can admit i was a little bit annoying because of all of my questions and modifications but giselle kept a smile and helped me the whole way! she is awesome and gives the whole restaurant a great personality. i hope she is here next time i come back! i would recommend the cafe de olla, very tasty without being too sweet! my tio got the machaca which smelled and tasted incredible! it's so cute in here with the neon signs and decor! thanks katrina's!

Been here a few times and service is very slow. Restaurant has 12 tables and only 3 tables occupied. Took at least 15 minutes to get menus and another 10 minutes to order. Close to 30 minutes later I got my food. Ordered carne asada and carnitas tacos, guacamole and chips. Asked for some chips and salads and was told I would have to pay extra for chips and salsa. Huh? My prior 2 visits the chips and salsas were included with the meal. I get it. Times are tough and restaurants are trying to increase their bottom line. Fine. At least put up a legitimate sign and don't make up the rules on the fly. Tacos were bland and cold. Guacamole was runny. Salsa was watery. Agua Fresca glass was filled with ice with barely any liquid. In a few months time, this place has gone downhill. Taking this place off my list of go to's.
