Huskins Coffee

We just stopped by while traveling through on our way to San Diego. Parking is street parking but the shop wasn't crazy busy for a Saturday late afternoon. The coffee was delicious and the food was very fresh. The atmosphere was very clean, tons of tables and great for people working or studying. The staff was very soft spoken and kind. Great shop!!

Study space 5/5:For rating as a study spot, I would give it a 10/10. It's super spacious with a lot of seating and fairly empty compared to other coffee shops in OC. There is a huge long table where you can set up laptop and multiple books for working. It's very comfortable with comfy seating/chairs. There's ambient lighting and music is not too loud. Great for a study spot other than closing early around 4pm. WiFi went down once but otherwise was fast. Clean bathroom as well. Food/drinks: Matcha latte 3/5Avocado toast 4/5Drink itself was not that good. I got a matcha latte. It was very creamy and milky and matcha flavor was not super strong. Avocado toast though was delicious! Parking:Parking can be challenging if you don't read the reviews. Park in the apartment complex adjacent to the coffee shop in spots labeled guest parking. There were plenty of spots when I came on a weekday!

Used to love this spot so it's a bummer that I haven't had great experiences the last few times. I normally don't write bad reviews but yesterday was just the nail on the head for me. Stopped by around 3:40 to grab a matcha and a quick bite. The barista was less than enthused to be there. I ordered a matcha and asked if there was still food available. I get that I was there before they closed at 4, but I'm assuming the food is pre-prepared / packaged so how hard could it be to heat something up? He gave me a not-so-nice look like "yeah I'm not doing that" and I was like nvm I'll just get a croissant. The matcha had literal clumps in it when I was drinking it and was nasty, couldn't even finish it. Listen, I've worked in customer service before and I NEVER gave anyone attitude and always put my best foot forward no matter how much I didn't want to be there. I literally have no tolerance for people who treat others like this at an establishment where I spend my hard earned money on a $8 matcha lol. I will not be returning-- unfortunately, this left a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively).

We came on a Monday morning. There was not a line but only one employee. It took more than 15 min for us to get our drinks and food.The cold brew was good. The matcha was mediocre.We enjoyed the sandwich. It was filling and tasty.With the slow service and price in mind we were disappointed. Since the coffee shop is in a residential neighborhood parking is very limited.

This place is located inside a luxury apartment building so it can be difficult to find. We had to go around twice before we saw it. Luckily I was able to find parking on the street but you are supposed to park in the visitors parking. Coffee was very good. Great place to study as it has many tables and was as quiet as a library. Shaken espresso - 10/10 it's on the stronger side which I loved Butterscotch latte - 10/10 simple and delicious not overly sweet

Huskins has a unique menu with homemade syrups like butterscotch, lavender, and their maple latte being the most popular. It's tastefully decorated as an ode to Canada, there's an ample amount of smaller tables, and one large community table to sit at. On our visit, I ordered a dirty chai which had a nice spice to it, though I should've asked for no cinnamon on top. My husband ordered a drip which was nicely balanced and got an iced butterscotch latte to go. We also grabbed a couple of beans to go, which were weighed and sealed on the spot. The service is absolutely top notch and every business should look to Huskins to see how good their service is.

I have been to their Newport/Costa Mesa location a few times and I find myself coming back to this location more often. Both locations make my favorite Hometown Latte well, but I prefer the open space at this Santa Ana location better. The parking sucks here, even though you can park inside the parking structure at the apartments here, I often find that the doors at the parking structure to get into the building is locked. Perhaps I come too early in the morning... but it is an annoyance to deal with. Other than that, if you can find the few street parking off to the side, then I think this location is better compared to Newport/Costa Mesa.People working here are friendly. I love how I can sit in the way back away from everyone and enjoy the bright an open space with my hubby. Keep it up, Huskins!

Happened to stumble upon this coffee shop and it was delicious. The day I went, they were roasting fresh coffee beans which made the whole shop smell incredible. The coffee itself was tasty and made with high quality coffee beans, I got the iced latte. There's great options to choose from and they also have food options. The barista was friendly and made my drink in quick time. The space is aesthetic with plenty of tables to sit at and work or study. It doesn't get too crowded which I appreciated. The decor is simple yet intentional and quite charming. There's a few spots on the street that you can park, near the apartments but it is limited.

The parking is a bit hard because you have to park at leasing office retail parking spot and it's limited but this coffee shop is super cute and the interior design is clean, high ceiling, and minimalist marble design.They also roast their own coffee beans and even have a roaster machine inside the coffee shop. The manager here is super nice and friendly. He took the time to explain to me and my friend about the owners and how they started this coffee shop. When you have the chance to ask while you wait for the coffee, make sure to ask bc it has to do with their logo!Their coffee is good, maybe because they roast their own. I got the iced honey latte with the english muffin sandwich. For the vibe, food, friendliness, cleanliness, and the price, this coffee shop is a place I'll come back to gladly.

I loved the space. It was very light and had lots of seating. I got the butterscotch latte which was really good. Lots of outlets and space to sit. Not too loud so it was easy to focus and do work.
