Huskins Coffee - Balboa Island

Great matcha ! Usually I'm hesitant about trying new matcha, but this one was great.Lovely baristas and quick service

After walking around Balboa Island for about an hour, I decided to check out this coffee shop since the fragrance and aroma of the coffee pulled me in. I ordered a lavendar latte with oat milk.The drink itself in terms of flavor was as expected, but the reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because the baristas accidentally made my drink with whole milk even though I had specified oat milk when ordering. I am lactose intolerant so I am glad that I was able to catch them making my drink with whole milk. In addition, the drink itself was very tepid and lukewarm. Also, since the coffee shop was closing at 5, as soon as I finished ordering, we were asked to leave the shop before I was even given the chance to try my drink.

Really great coffee on Balboa island. The offerings are straightforward but super high quality. My latte was delicious. Probably the best I had on a recent trip to California. The only drawback is the parking since it can be super challenging to find street parking.

Dropped by here for a quick iced vanilla latte pick-me-up, but was disappointed with an aesthetic watered down iced coffee. Service was a bit slow considering there wasn't many people in the cafe, and maybe my latte just wasn't made well, but their drink options seemed diverse and interesting at least.

This coffee shop is one of this towns best kept secrets. This is a local coffee shop hidden on Balboa island. Nice and clean miniamlistic design.I ordered the Hometown Latte (Organic Maple from Fulton's Sugar Bush in Almonte, Ontario, Canada). The maple was rich indeed and smooth.Friendly staff, and they get busy real quick, but the staff of three is right on top of keeping the lines moving.

Cute coffee shop in Balboa Island! Tried their lavender and hazelnut lattes! The flavors taste natural, not artificial. Perfect for people who like mild coffee. Friendly staff and cozy space. Free street parking near the beach, but it gets busy!

Very good coffee with friendly service and assorted pastries! Small seating area inside or take it to go.

My mocha was delicious! The $6 for a small cup was a tad high but this is Balboa Island, so...The barista was very friendly but the parking situation was not! But again, this is Balboa Island!

Kind of put together, painted white, shop that sells coffee and some pastries. Here are the pros and cons:Pros: nice location since Starbucks is gone on Balboa Island. Good expresso drinks and some small pastries.Cons: not very clean, no ventilation, dog smells since they allow dogs, very few seats, no open windows, crowded, very high noise level.
