Hummus Way

Boyfriend and I have seen this restaurant many times, but they always close so early. And because of that, we've never been able to try it - until this past weekend. We decided to order ahead of time and walk over to pick it up since we live fairly close by. The restaurant itself was surprisingly super clean. We did arrive a bit early so our food wasn't ready, but that wasn't their fault. The guy that was working finished up with the walk in customer who was already there and quickly went to prepare our food. Before handing our order to us, he even read back our entire order as he was packaging it - great, friendly customer service. When we got home, the food portions were plentiful and we were ready to dig in. Boyfriend ordered the Chicken and Beef Steak Kabob entree and I got a wrap with Lemon Artichoke Hummus, Spring Mix, Pesto Chicken Shawarma, Sumac Onions, Tabbouleh, Pickled Beets, Cucumbers, Lemon and Olive Oil, and White Garlic Sauce. We also ordered a side of their Pita Bread with 3 hummus's (Feta, Traditional and another one that had some spice). And omg, everything was bursting with flavor and we were so happy haha. Because how can you not be when you're eating yummy food? We will most definitely be coming back here to try more items on their menu. Very happy we found this gem so close to home.

This place has 4.9 stars and I honestly thought it would be a lot more authentic for Mediterranean food. The chicken was good, lots of flavor but it didn't taste like chicken shawarma if that's what you were expecting (like me). I was expecting a lot more than what tasted like chicken cooked in a crockpot. Not to mention how overpriced I thought this place was for Mediterranean food that tasted mediocre! And we found a cockroach next to the table where we were eating.

Happy to have stumbled across this second location. I've visited the Orange location countless times over the years. This location is slightly bigger but the same beautiful, clean ambiance. This is a great place for a quick service lunch. I go in to get a bowl and if no line, I'm out in 5 minutes with a fresh delicious lunch. Highly recommend to anyone looking to grab something quick on the go. I will be back! Also service is always pleasant and friendly.

I loved how this restaurant was super clean and had beautiful decor. The server was so nice and thoroughly explained all the items on their menu. He also made different recommendations. We ordered the bowls with basmati rice, chicken, different types of hummus, and plenty of toppings including chickpeas. The only cons I would say are that it was on the pricier side and there were too many flavors at once. Next time, I would just focus on adding less ingredients to my bowl because there was a lot going on. I like that they add plenty of food to your bowl and include pita bread. They also have unique and refreshing drinks such as hibiscus & mint lemonade, peach, and lavender mint tea.

Hummus Way -- way to go! This venue is hidden toward the back in a plaza right off the freeway exit (Irvine Blvd off 55)! The parking is ample which I'm relieved to find adjacent to a condo-business complex off Tustin. Upon entering, Carlos (owner/cook) greeted me with a radiant smile! He super friendly and offered me sampling off all the prepared drinks. REMINDER: checkin on Yelp!I ordered the 2-combo plate! It's build as you go with fresh selection of ingredients-- base (rice, couscous or salad), 3-5 types of protein choices and all the toppings you desire! There were so many different options to choose from but you really can't go wrong they are amazing!! I really enjoyed the food! The falafel were very flavorful and held together well even after biting into them and the rice was well seasoned and fluffy. Unexpectedly, the star of the show was definitely the hummus. I got 3 scoops -- spicy, roasted eggplant and pesto. The only disappointment is that, he FORGOT to give me my pita bread! Ughhh.

I've gone to both locations and have been impressed every time. The workers are always very attentive and helpful and the food portions are very generous. Today I was helped by Carlos who really went out of his way to make sure everyone in the restaurant was happy. The restaurant itself is spacious and has a really cool ocean floor.

Love this place!! A new local family owned restaurant! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was happy to serve the customers just like the staff! Great place! great food! Clean and nice to sit and eat! I have now been back a few times and you can't beat the bowl combo!!! Same great quality every time!!
