Hot Deli is a food to go business located inside 99 Ranch Culver Irvine. They serve a variety of Chinese barbecue items, traditional Chinese dishes, dim sum, and more. Ever since Sam Woo closed down, they are the next best thing in the area for quick and affordable lunch combinations. Pork and Preserved Egg Congee ($2.99) + Twisted Cruller ($2.29) - Together they make the perfect breakfast portion. The congee here is not as tasty and flavorful as other places, but it comes in a smaller portion. No frills. 2 Delicacy BBQ Item Combo ($14.99) - 2 Chinese BBQ items of your choice with rice and vegetables. I opted for the crispy pork and roast duck. The pork required a 10-minute additional wait and it was worth it. Very crispy with the perfect ratio of meat, fat and skin. The roasted duck was something I was craving but their version was overly salty for my liking. Need to eat with much rice and veggies to offset the saltiness. 3 Item Combo Meal ($10.99) - Comes with your choice of rice or noodles and whatever 3 items you can visually see in the hot bar area. It varies but it's basically more authentic than a panda express, and tastes decent enough. Affordable and saves time so I'm not trying to be too picky. Maybe not the best but one of the quickest and more affordable options around. One of these portions can easily last me multiple meals. The value they bring to me is mostly convenience.

Poor customer service. I tried to buy breakfast churro with baked breakfast pie. The lady at the deli refuse to put them together and gave me an attitude. I had to inform the manager of her attitude and point out the lady at the deli. This business does not understand customer service and needs to take care of customers. They will do everything to get you out of the store and not address the compliant properly.
