My husband and I came at noon for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is located in the lantern district. There were a lot of customers in the restaurant and we decided to sit at the bar. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza, which he couldn't stop raving about their sauce. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich delicious. It was too much food for me. Topped it off with a Sangria and my husband had a Hazy IPA.Food 4 stars Atmosphere 5 starsService 4 stars

For me it was just okay. Granted I didn't try that pizza just appsHad the wings but felt like try sauce was good but had no depth beyond initial taste. Had artichokes they seemed like they were canned. Which I have never had a restaurant especially at the cost. They were just okay wouldn't get again

This has been on our list to try but I can't say we would return.They were empty at 4:15pm on Monday, which was a holiday so we were able to walk right in. They are much smaller than we expected. They have only high tables inside and regular tables outside. Given that we had two toddlers we were limited and had to take the outside tables. Thankfully they at least had a heater but the wind was chilly. No high chairs available which is unfortunate and surprising. The salad with blood orange and fennel sounded better than it was. The dressing was nonexistent and it was missing balance. No acidity, no pepper, and probably no salt. Kind of tasted just like wet leaves placed on a plate with some hazelnuts and blood orange slices thrown on top.We ordered two pizzas - the margarita and the garden. The Margarita was the clear winner but it was quite soggy. The dough was chewy and had a nice rise to it. The gardener was weird with the butternut and onion and white pie. I would have expected more heirloom tomatoes than it had. But this was the odd part - they must of emptied their entire pepper bottle on the pizza - it was overpowered by pepper. They should have saved the pepper for their salad than pour it all over the pizza. You couldn't eat a slice without pepper in your face and taste buds. N had ordered a side of the gnocchimis. He asked the server about them and she couldn't even tell us much about them. She didn't know if they were airfried or fried in oil. Still, we thought we would try them and asked for them to be added as a side. I wouldn't call them crispy but rather quite dry. They were nothing special and it was frustrating to get the bill and see instead of them being added as a side for $8 we were charged for the full order $16.

I was wandering around Dana point and came in here again and everyone is so nice! They have gluten-free options without cheese so I ordered a forger pizza without cheese and a gluten-free crust. I love the artichokes that are roasted with garlic!! I can never have enough garlic

Solid Neapolitan style pizza where it's thinly sliced tomatoes on your pizza. I kno, I know....Some like that and some do not but in any-case all will love the ambiance in this rapidly developing and now lively Del Prado neighborhood.

Great location and the patio is so beautiful. The menu is extensive and the items we chose were really good. The warm bread was delicious. My rigatoni with sausage was spicier than I thought, but really good. We will come back and try other items.

We had the Maximus & Plato pizzas. The pizzas were pretty good, I especially enjoyed the Maximus. Sometimes pizzas with multiple types of meats tend to be too salty, but the balance in this one was just right. If anything the Plato (the one with arugula & prosciutto) was a bit too salty for my taste. I saw a couple of other pictures on here where the crust:topping ratio was ridiculously mismatched, but it seems they have fixed their issue. $22 for an individual pizza and not even a very big one is egregious even in this day & age. Fortunately they were not bad, however. The atmosphere is pretty casual and nice, but it's mostly outdoor seating. Would be nice to have ice cold water but water was approaching room temperature. Those are my reasons for -1 star.

We cane here with kids, waited 15 mins our server just didn't bother to bring us cup of waters. I don't remember I've been served like this.

Quite a few new restaurants in the lantern district. Seems to be a competition amongst pizza restaurants. We opted to visit Homeslice since there wasn't any wait which we appreciated. Ironically, I recognized the gentleman who walked in and realized he is also the owner of The Schwack so that's pretty cool. Cool beachy vibes beautiful interior and bar area. We opted for a salad and a pizza as well as a couple soft drinks and a beer. Service was friendly and efficient. The size of the pizza is maybe considered a large personal pizza. a hungry individual could probably devour it but also easy to share for two. The salad was also ample to share. We enjoyed all of the flavor combinations. We would definitely return again and it looks like they dog friendly so we would definitely bring our dog back. Street parking all around.

My wife and I visited Homeslice today for lunch. My wife ordered their new Pollo Pesto Sandie, and I ordered their Cold Cut Sandie and Salad combo.My wife loved her sandwich and gave me a taste, it was great. My sandwich, which look smaller than it ate, it was excellent as was the salad.Good job Homeslice!John
