We were stuck in traffic and hungry. Craved Indian food but had our dog with us and finding an Indian dog friendly restaurant is usually not an easy feat. A Google search showed us this beautiful waterfront restaurant in a 15 min vicinity from where we were so immediately drove down there . Ample parkingGreat ambienceVery dog friendly Amazing food Great service We ordered the goat biryani, garlic naan, butter chicken , masala chai and chilli chicken and absolutely loved everything. As someone who grew up eating Indian food and cooks it often , we have high expectations when eating Indian food at a restaurant but the meal here was wonderful and gave us all the comfort we needed . Will definitely return of we go this way again.

I have been wanting to try Himalayan Grill Waterfront for years-since it was just Himalayan Grill and located at the old Sam's Seafood location.My sisters wanted to take me to a mellow birthday dinner spot while I was visiting from out of state so I said let's try this place.It is located beyond Starbucks in the parking lot at Peter's Landing on the back side of Mother's. We had a private table in a little alcove right above the water among beautiful boats.The food was delicious-we shared the veggie thali for 2 and one of my sisters got soup.The samosas were perfect-enough crunch outside but soft inside. They are very generous with the dipping sauces.The Chai and coffee are good. Next time i'll try the Momos.Great service and no rush even though it was getting to closing time by the time we were done.We will be back! This place is a Sunset Beach gem

My weekly lunch buddy and Ilanded here this lunchtime. I had noticed it in Peter's Landing on my way up to Seal Beach. I was intrigued by the name and when I mentioned it to JP he said "it is one of our favorites ".I love the location, right in the Marina, looking out on the moored pleasure craft. The restaurant itself is light and bright and high-ceilings. The menu was fairly typical for South Asian food, and I was looking forward to having my sinuses cleaned out by powerful curries and spice.The waiter was very pleasant and helpful and we selected the lamb curry for me, and the beef for JP.The platters were visually beautiful, but totally lacking in heat or spice. The lamb was delicious and perfectly stewed but I tasted no curry at all.I am still giving this restaurant 5 stars. The view, the service, the ambiance, the beauty of the presentation. It is not as though there are plenty of actual Himalayans looking for the taste of their homeland to keep the shop afloat, when most of their customers in Sunset Beach are plenty white!

Lunchtime service is hit or miss. We either get excellent service or are completely ignored at the entrance before being seated. The food is good but not sure about having lunch here. Maybe dinner service is better.
