It was a cold day and soup sounded like a good idea, especially Ox Bone soup and finding a Korean place in Garden Grove was not easy as there are quite a few places to choose from.Found Hanuri on the Yelp search and decided to try it out. Sidebar: I don't understand how cities allow such density impact with strip malls with maybe 2-3 parking spaces for their restaurants...end rant...Hanuri is a small restaurant and service was definitely attentive and efficient. Our order was taken and the food came out quickly. What I really liked about Hanuri is that the soup wasn't like licking a salt block! Soup was not salty at all which I appreciate. The vibe and atmosphere is quaint and chill. Very unassuming and very pleasant. I'm definitely coming back!

Hanuri was one of the few Korean restaurants that opened early enough and fit into our schedule on the day we were heading north to Magic Mountain. We went right at 9 AM and we were the only ones seated in the restaurant. It was a cozy space with not-so-modern-but-homey interior. Food was very comforting and tasty. We ordered sullungtang, kalguksu, and yukgaejang. They tasted homemade and we all thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. The side dishes were good as well. The water cups were paper cups and two of our cups leaked onto the table and we ended up getting wet a little. Other than that, overall, it was a good dining experience early in the morning. Parking lot was a bit on the smaller side and it is shared with several businesses. But easy parking and easy access.

I basically never not get kongguksu if I ever see it on the menu. I love the nuttiness that comes from the blended soymilk and it comes not really seasoned so you can flavor it to your tastebuds. It's always so refreshing in the summer and the one at Hanuri did not miss! It was great and the noodles were perfectly al dente. Also, look at the banchan variety?! Holy moly there were so many little plates! I appreciate the effort and am thankful I get to try a little bit of all the different flavors. Everyone else also really enjoyed their dishes, so I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order here!

I had a craving for ox bone soup and Hanuri was the closest place that had it! I opted to get it to go and was surprised at how many banchans they still provide for you especially on a to go order. The order was ready super quick in less than 10 minutes and the soup itself was still very hot by the time I got home. The serving size was plenty- I was able to get two meals out of it!! And after refrigerating the soup, it was super gelatinous - which is a good sign! Would def try this place again for their other dishes!

Sujebi - you're here for the Sujebi. They got other great soups too but their Sujebi is the best in Ktown OC. They normally add anchovy bits into your broth so if you want a normal flavor, ask them not to add itBanchan - the server gives you a lot, seriously it's very generous and they're all very good. Bossam - their Bossam is good, not much else to say. Cabbage is large so you can cut it to however size you preferAlways parking here and it's a cute cozy restaurant.

Food and service were great! Had a very yummy bibimbap for lunch. They definitely don't skimp on the portion. I came in hungry and still had left overs!

Hanuri makes delicious Korean soups, stews, bibimbap, and noodles. I came here for the first time for dinner on a weekday. We went for an early dinner and it wasn't super busy but got busier when we left. Once we got seated we were given sides. They were all good and my favorite was their peanuts in a marinated sauce. For dinner, although we wanted to try everything, we got their Assorted Sausage Stew ($32) and their Pork Katsu ($19). The sausage stew was pretty good and I like their veggie and meat ratio. It even had ramen as well. The waitress gave us two bowls of rice with the stew. And the stew was on hot flame so it was hot the entire time. The Pork Katsu was a tad over fried but still really good. It had a yummy sauce on top and was served with some cabbage salad and rice. The serving size for both was pretty large and definitely shareable. We did not finish our food between both of us. We were both full and satisfied. The service was excellent. She kept checking up on us and adjusting the flame temperature to make sure our stew wouldn't burn. She also cut up large pieces of kimchi for us as well. The inside of the restaurant is small and casual. I would come back again.

Beef knee soup - broth is super clean but bland, adjusted to my taste by adding about two scoops of salt. soup came with bowl of rice but no noodles. beef knee tasted like tendon, packed with collagen and super soft.Cold noodles - super refreshing, didn't feel the need to add vinegar or mustard because soup was already savory/bit sour. a lot more flavorful than other places, love it! Service was quick and friendly. Came at 11AM for lunch and was seated right away without any wait. Shop is pretty clean.

I went here after looking for an authentic korean spot and this place was wonderful! It's tucked away in a corner but it's a hidden gem imo! I was greeted by the waitress and she brought out a ton of side dishes to try out. I really liked their kimchi. I ordered a hot stone kimchi soup and it was perfect. Not too salty of spicy. Here is the updated menu for those like me who need a reference before coming to a restaurant!
