Hans' Homemade Ice Cream

Stellar! Creamy! Flavorful! The perfect vanilla ice cream for my peach cobbler I purchased at the wine festival. Located in the mall adjacent to the Paséa Hotel, it was only steps away and full filled my desire. Great value, great quality, and great customer service. Highly recommend.

Me and my wife enjoyed having Hans' as a dessert option in Pacific City! It's nice and convenient for a sweet treat after dinner in the shopping mall!

New Year's Day and had a craving for ice cream. Of course there are numerous places in the short vicinity of downtown Huntington. But wanted to get away from the crowds. So came here. It was definitely quiet but it was busy for them.Either or the girls working there were nice.The prices were actually reasonable and a decent size so I was satisfied. I can eat a lot of ice cream so got the sundae, build your own. And like I said. A good amount for the price and I was satisfied. Also a fun selection of flavors to choose from.

Costumers can't have samples but the employees will stand in front of you and eat spoonfuls of ice cream from the feeezer. Do better.

Tucked away in a corner of the Lot 579 food court, Hans' has a variety of unique flavors for you to try, from Vietnamese Coffee to Strawberry Oreo. I went with a double scoop of Oreo Espresso and Caramel Macchiato. I enjoyed the Caramel Macchiato the most. It was creamy and full of the coffee flavor. The Oreo Espresso had a large amount of Oreos, but the espresso flavor was lacking. At about $8 for a double scoop in a waffle cone, it was about the same price as competitors. Service was quick! Unfortunately they do not offer samples.It was decent ice cream, but nothing to write home about. Can't say I'd go out of my way to come back, but it was nice to try once.Note: They provide validation for parking.

I dont know if ice layered on top of ice cream is unsanitary and of health guidelines but I have a food permit and I remember that iced over product means it was not stored to proper temperature and refrozen and should be discarded.Outside of the frozen ice on ice cream, the Coffee oreo was very yummy. Tasted very good.

Always a great stop for dessert when in pacific city. They have so many unique flavors that I want to try but this time around I got a scoop of strawberry Oreo and a scoop of espresso Oreo. They were both amazing and have big chunks of the Oreo in there and very creamy.

Ok ok ok, I loveeee Hans ice cream. My favorite is the peanut butter Oreo on a waffle cone. But NO SAMPLES?! COME ON! How are we supposed to know if we "like" the flavor?! Please start offering samples

Although the staff is nice and courteous, there's not a lot of positive things that can be said about the ice cream. My family had 2 flavors, chewy chocolate and brickle butter. The brickle butter was described as vanilla and toffee, but unfortunately there was barely any toffee in the actual ice cream. The chewy chocolate looked decent. But fell short from the chocolate ice cream we tried at Hansel's just a bit away. Another member of my family, wanted the mint chip but she complained that there was hardly any chocolate chips in the ice cream and passed on getting any. We asked for a sample of the mint chip but unfortunately they don't give samples. That should've been a red flag. All serious ice cream shops ( Stella Jeans, Handels, etc) provide samples. They're confident in their product. Usually when an ice cream shop doesn't give samples they're usually hiding something. This was the case at Hans. They're hiding the truth. Their ice cream just isn't that great.

If you're ever shopping in the Huntington Beach area looking for a treat, this is a must try. They have very unique ice cream flavors. Friendly Staff and Excellent service!
