Tried something today that was not familiar to me - Albap...Turned out to be the kind of rice dish that I've always wanted. It tastes much like a poke bowl with rice and a combination of kimbap. Despite being a rice dish, I love the lightness of the food and the serving was sufficient - enough to make you feel good but not too full.We also ordered their udon with pork katsu and as always, they kept the same quality of taste and standard.Service is always reasonable and respectful. The place is quiet enough for anyone to just enjoy a good conversation with family or friends in a cozy environment. Please keep it up and continue to serve authentic Korean dishes.

It's been awhile since I've been back. The udon is still light, flavorful and delicious as ever. Service is always friendly. Got it to go this time

Mom and Pop shop located in Garden Grove. Since the shop is run by a couple, expect higher wait times. It took a bit long for the food to arrive, but everything was super good. We got the katsu+udon and the tempura+udon combos, which was a great deal and reasonably priced. Tempura was light and flaky, which is perfect. The katsu here was breadded beautifully, different from all the other katsus i've had before. Definitely check this place out if you haven't before and support small businesses!

One of my friends had introduced me to this place because I've been craving soup. It's a small hole in the wall Mom and Pop shop. These type of restaurants are my favorite because they're like hidden gems. The old lady taking and making our orders was so sweet, but isn't the best at english. The sushi bowl and udon are musts here! Udon is really clean in flavor and is not too heavy. There's also great options to choose between combos to add sides to ur main dish. Their sushi bowls can have rice or greens/ both, and are topped with fresh raw fish. All dishes here are really light but definitely filling. Love this place and definitely recommend checking it out if you are craving some cheap amazing eats!

Good value udon, soba, and combo sets. It's been really hot these days, so this is a great spot if you're craving some cold soba noodles. I didn't order a set this time, but my soba order came with 2 pieces of kimbap on the side, a bowl of soup broth, and radish ban chan. The restaurant has adequate seating and its own parking lot. There's also street parking if the lot is full. Quick and attentive service!

Wonderful Slow food restaurant! A find that should stay a secret from all "fast and hurry hurry" critics & spoiled foodies. A small humble owner-operated spot with kind service. Everything is made to order and fresh. Considering the inflation, I am surprised that the food is so good and prices are reasonable and will keep doing what they do.

I was craving some soba and so stumbled upon this hidden gem! It is tucked behind another building and it looks super lowkey. Once we stepped inside we were offered water or tea which is very new to me! My friend and I also got complimentary soup as we waited for our meals to come. We got the Soba and California Roll combo and the Soba and Pork Cutlet combo. And guys it was A LOT OF FOOD. Everything felt so fresh and flavorful so I would definitely recommend this place for soba lovers! I will come back to try their udon! The breakdown Tofu Soup 4/5: The broth was very flavorful and rich with little cubes of tofu and celery leaves. It was the perfect temperature and also complimented the other dishes very well.Cold Soba 4.25/5: The noodles were a good texture, not too thick/chewy or soft. We were given 2 big handfuls topped off its seaweed flakes and sesame seeds. Tasted very fresh and made us very full by the end of our meal. I couldn't even finish my portion! You definitely need to order a protein with this dish for a good balance. The pork cutlet was a good choice but would shrimp tempura work too!California Roll 4/5: Came with Kimbap, which was not expected but very soft and yummy! The California roll itself had the freshest piece of avocado I've tasted with a roll. The imitation crab didn't taste slimy and from a can. It also came with fish eggs on top which is an amazing touch. Pork Cutlet 4.5/5 The Pork Cutlet was the STAR of the meal! The right amount of batter to meat ratio and the outside was insanely crispy. It did not taste too oily and the sauce was not too overpowering. It also came with a side cabbage salad which was very saucy and I like sauce LOL. They gave a good portion as well!

Ive been there 4x in a month: peaceful; kind service; piano music playing. I love their udon broth (refreshing and perfectly seasoned); sushi rolls (we tried like five different ones); and fried chicken: get their sauce on the side for crispier chicken skin and batter. I would skip the rose rice cakes because it was too watery and no hint of spice at all. My fave combo is the unagi bowl and small udon. I will be back soon.Small parking lot and seating area, but the homey ness makes up for it all!

Was looking for a place to eat before we went to a concert in Santa Ana! The parking lot for this plaza is a bit small, but there is street parking if it's packed. They were out of the rose tteokbokki, but the regular tteokbokki was so good! Came with rice cakes, one egg, and fish cakes, and we shared everything we ordered. Total came out to $35 for tuna roll, inari, and tteokbokki for a party of 3. They also gave us soup. Rice cakes were savory, a little sweet, and a bit spicy.Worker was so sweet and asked us what our plans were and chatted with us while we were fighting to pay the bill. This is definitely a hidden gem in Garden Grove!
