Hacienda La Joya

It's Tuesday morning and I just am not hungry enough for a big breakfast. How about old fashioned oatmeal? Prepared just the way you like it. With cinnamon and bananas and raisins and brown sugar. With a big hot cup of strong coffee? That's what I had today and it was really good. All that and the news being shown on the TV set! What else could make it more perfect? With tax $12. Excellent!

For lunch I ordered the grilled tilapia and it was quite delicious! It's a beautiful spread. Their complementary chips and salsa are not to be missed, especially if you're a cilantro lover like me. Service was friendly and playful. It was my first time there but it was clear that a lot of the other patrons were regulars and a lot of love passed between staff and clients.

Came here for lunch on the weekend and it wasn't busy. In fact, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I got the pork in a green chile sauce with eggs - which, was not my favorite. It just seemed really sloppy. I'm not a texture person, and like mixing up my food, but, it was just not appetizing, even though the flavor was alright. For the price, and for what I received, I would not come back here. There was also an incident at the counter, where a customer came in and complained. Right after the customer left you could hear the patrons talking poorly of the person. I get that happens, but, maybe do it in the back where your customers can't hear it.

A great little family owned and ran business with good food, service, and people. I stopped in today for breakfast as I was greeted by Carlos and his wife and was seated at a nice booth. I order coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, and the Machaca with beans, potatoes, and flour tortillas. The food was good, and I enjoyed my breakfast while talking with mom on the phone. Great place, good food and people. Let's get out and support our small businesses in the community. Recommended!

This is one of my favorite Mexican spots in the OC. I used to come here like once a week when I worked nearby but now that I live and work further from it, I haven't really went too often until recently. And it was still exactly the way I remember it. Same welcoming guy who instantly recognized my face and asked where the hell I been, same ol' great service and the food is still excellent.Everything is delicious from the rice, to the refried beans, to the fresh salsa, all the way to the main entree whether it be tacos, enchiladas, flautas, burritos, etc. I've tried at least 5 different dishes here and they all satisfied my hardcore craving for good, authentic, Mexican food. Prices are still fair despite inflation and the rising cost of food. Don't just take my word for it; go ahead and give the place a try to judge it for yourself.

OMG I think I've just discovered one of the best place in Orange County to eat authentic Mexican breakfast food. I ordered the "Carne Asada, Chili Relleno and Eggs" , fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. The dish came out looking so yummy and tasted beyond my expectations. My bill was $32.84 (plus tip) which is a bit higher than I'm used to paying but given the awesome service and food, I'll gladly pay this price since the gas and time to go to Mexico (for authentic Mexican food) would be much higher :). I got here a bit early for Sunday morning around 9am but people gradually piled in to take all the seats. I can see why too. I don't usually give a 5 star rating and reserve this rating only for the best experience. I'll be coming back soon.

I ordered dinner through a 3rd party on a whim craving a chicken enchilada. The enchilada was generously filled with chicken and covered in yummy cheese. Served with rice and beans I was fully satisfied and ate everything! Absolutely delicious enchilada and great chips and salsa that came along with it too!

Came in today, I was recommended by my stylist at Rebel femme right across from here. Thanks Kassie it was really good. My order was to go sorry I didn't get a picture Cielo was really nice, thanks for the small talk. Hope to dine in soon.

Great place! Family owned and run and we love the food there! They also open early so great place to find a really good breakfast!

Nice spot with big burrito portions and quick service. The flavor wasn't anything extraordinary, but it was still a solid meal, and I'd definitely come back!
