Probably one of the more affordable places to grab a bite on the go at Fashion Island... that being said, a jumbo hot dog (think: Costco style) is going to run you $7.Located just a few moments' walk from Sessions Deli or Lululemon, this little spot is convenient for those feeling a bit peckish who need a nibble to tide them over.A variety of hot dogs with toppings, they also have pretzels and soft drinks.2022: 101/100

I've been going to this hot dog stand since I was a child. Dean has remembered me every time I visit even if it has been years since I visited. My friend was at fashion island today and sent me a pic of the hot dog stand and it brought back so many memories of my childhood. Im so happy this hot dog stand still exists and I can't wait to visit soon! Best hot dogs in town. From Victoria the red headed child who you have known since you opened.

The hot dogs / polish are great. But every now and then I see the proprietor handle cash and then food immediately after without washing hands and without gloves, which I believe is a health code issue. Also, they take Amex but depending on who's there, they will ask me to use another card - likely due to merchant transaction fees. I prefer to pay by whatever card I want to use.

This cart is a saviour amongst glitzy, upmarket madness.I was starting to lose hope... thought I was going to end up blowing $20 at the Whole Foods deli counter. If the Whole Foods deli counter is your cheapest and most palatable choice, there's a problem.I mean, for $4.50 - the price of the hot dog cart's Polish sausage - the only other thing I could get at Fashion Island would be a cupcake. Maybe. And the Polish was surprisingly tasty! It wasn't what I traditionally think of as a Polish, and of course it'd have been better if he could have grilled it to add some char, but it was a good, juicy meal nonetheless.Beware the red pepper relish if you're a Chicago-style purist - the sauce in it comes dangerously close to being ketchup.

Best "dirty water" dog cart this side of 5th Ave and Central Park.I've conquered them all. Pink's, Top Dog, Costco, Dodger Stadium, cafeteria at Snowbird Ski Lodge (UT), etc.... None of them satisfy me more than that delicious little man (Dean) selling delicious wieners from his delicious little cart outside of Macy's in Fashion Island (near the carousel). We share the same motto... "keep it simple" by serving only the best: Nathans, Polish, Veggie, Turkey, & Tofu dogs. You don't have to deal with 1/2 hour lines, options smoptions, and our dear friend heart burn. My favorite set up = Turkey dog, ketchup, deli mustard, diced onion, sour kraut, sesame seed bun. Sets me back $4 w/ a diet coke.

Drinks/Food: -The hot dogs are so delicious! I love the turkey dog and Vienna. They also have a variety of drinks and snacks (chips and pretzels)Price: -The price is okay, it's not cheap for a hot dog, but you are getting a good quality hot dog! It's smaller than a Costco hot dog, but it tastes slightly better.Wait:Service:-The old man working there is so sweet, he's always so happy! It only takes a minute or so to prepare the hot dogs.

Not really worth the $4.75 you're paying. It's got a good bite to it. Relative to a Costco hot dog, it's probably a bit better tasting and a teeny bit bigger... I would still get it again.

This cart at fashion island that is located near the Tesla shop, has a pretty decent vegan hot dog for a reasonable price. I usually get mine with sauerkraut and mustard. Might be an acquired taste, but I think it's pretty good. The man at the cart stand is super friendly. It sometimes takes a few minutes to get your vegan dog ready.

This cart (for some unexplained reason) is most noted for some of "the best" hot dogs around. Well, I decided to try a dog while taking a shopping break from Fashion Island. My friend who happens to work in Fashion Island told me that their hot dogs were pretty good so I decided to go with her judgement.I ordered a tofu dog (because my boyfriend is a vegetarian and we were sharing). The guy at the cart said it would take 7 minutes to make, which seemed reasonable enough, so I agreed to wait. I was standing for a couple of minutes in front of the stand when all of a sudden the guy was like "YOU CAN COME BACK IN 5 MINUTES PLEASE!". I don't know why it was bothering him so much that I was waiting for my food in front of the stand, but apparently he preferred me to wait a few feet away instead. So I moved and sat at a nearby table. After 5 minutes passed I came back and the guy asks, "Yes? Can I help you?" In which I reply "Uh... yeah... I'm here for my hot dog.."Then he gives me a blank stare and says, "Well? What would you like???" Wtf? I was only gone for a mere 5 minutes and he had already forgotten who I was. It's not like he was ambushed by a million customers in the meantime either, he probably had one other customer after me. Anyway, I told him that I already ordered a hot dog, tofu dog to be exact, and he said it was almost done. A minute later he looks at me and says (with extra attitude this time), "What did you order again???"Seriously. To skip ahead to the food... it was ok for a hot dog. Certainly not the best. It was as plain as plain could get. I think the only flavor factors I could really taste were the onions and relish on the dog. The dog itself was nothing special. The bun was a decent soft sesame bun. Overall I was left pretty disappointed and quite discouraged from ever purchasing one of their dogs again. My friend told me the man working the stand is usually a nice old man by the name of Dean and not some jerk middle aged man who hates himself for selling hot dogs for a living. So to be fair I gave it 2 stars since my friend actually enjoyed her hot dog (a hebrew national jumbo dog) and because she's received much better customer service in the past.
