Golden Spoon

Milkshakes! Honestly name something better. It's a luscious, creamy, sweet treat and it hits the spot.Came here on a Saturday evening and it had a 5-10 min line that was steady and one person behind the counter. The line moved fast, and the customer service was 10/10. We got the make your own shake with vanilla, coconut and chocolate bits. It was also a 10/10, grand slam. A few of the locations have mixed reviews, but this one was amazing.Will definitely be back.

Stopped by on our way home to get some frozen yogurt. It's was Fathers Day Sunday around 3pm First I thought it was closed but no, it was just empty no customers. I hesitated for a minute but then we walked in to check it out. We got the original tart and the strawberry lemonade and both tasted good. They had many topping options except fresh fruits which my son and I like the most with our frozen yogurt. We chose cookie dough and some mini chocolates. We ordered medium size it was just the right amount. Customer service was ok, could have been a bit friendlier specially we were the only customers in the store. Overall a great place to stop by, lots of outdoor seating located at the Newport Shopping Center.

When I'm craving a thick and creamy type of yogurt, Golden Spoon is my go-to! It tastes partial ice creamy, partial yogurty to me. What's great is it's tasty as is without any toppings but it's nice to have options for the variety of topping they have. The inside of this location is quite small and it's not really inviting (as in it's literally chairs and tables) no ambiance, but there are outside tables as well for a more fresh air vibe. No view just a parking lot. My fave is vanilla :)

What I ordered:Small Frozen Yogurt w/ Toppings - $5.50 + $1.49/ea3/10: Mango Sunrise- non-dairy mango and passion fruit- the sample tasted good, but in the cup it tasted like lip gloss/had chemical flavors (no I didn't have any lip products on)- melted significantly faster even though it's 60 degrees out7.75/10: Original Tart- creamy and tart, but slightly icyAfter seeing a Golden Spoon coming soon to Irvine, I couldn't wait and had to try the one in Newport! The server makes your cup and you get to choose from a large variety of toppings. You can sample flavors before choosing too. There are a few small tables inside, in addition to the outdoor tables throughout the plaza. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my experience. The bad taste from the mango sunrise ruined my cup :( I don't think this small cup of froyo was worth $8, especially when the yogurt was average and the toppings are the same at other cheaper froyo places. I think cookie dough lovers might enjoy Golden Spoon, but it's sadly not for me. Food: 5/10Service: 8/10Total: 6.5/10

My husband and I found this location by accident and I'm so glad to have a Golden Spoon closer to home! On a Saturday night there was only one other couple there but I think that's because it's so new. It's been forever since I've been to a Golden Spoon and I'm happy to say it's just as delicious as I remember. If you need a refresher on how tasty it is, they do samples. I feel like this is uncommon nowadays so I was happy to hear that. I got vanilla and peanut butter cup yogurt swirl topped with cookie dough bites and peanut butter cups. Sounds like it would be too much peanut butter but trust me, it's perfect. 10/10 recommend and I will absolutely be back. Another huge plus of this location is that parking is sooo easy. It's a large shopping center and you don't have to deal with the traffic that comes with the Corona Del Mar location.

Always the same tall guy serving, he is pretty laid back and kind! I love the froyo here-hahah probably more then my daughter Sucj a guilty pleasure of mine! Quality ingredients I can tell!

I'm a froyo addict but won't be coming to this location anymore because they are frequently out of vanilla, and today they were out of both vanilla and chocolate. This has probably happened 5 times that I've left the store with nothing because I don't want non-basic flavors.I questioned why they are always out of the most popular classic flavors today and was told it is because "the machine breaks." Somehow I think this frozen yogurt business should be more interested in overcoming the issue of their primary frozen yogurt machine never working.Anyway everything else about the place is nice.

Terrible business sense. Brought my kids here at 3:30 on a Wed afternoon to be told they are closed for cleaning. Why not close after hours to clean. Very disappointing. Don't believe the open hours posted online for this business.

Great experience here. We shared a peanut butter frozen yogurt and loved every bite; smooth, creamy and lots of great taste. Store was clean, we will return for an occasional treat. While the extra toppings looked delicious, we can't justify the extra calories at our age. Very tempting for sure!

Just left Golden Spoon in Newport Coast and was helped by Chris who helps us all of the time... Chris is FANTASTIC... kind, courteous, funny, just an all-around great guy!! Thank you so much Golden Spoon Newport Coast for having Chris on your team!! :)
