Wow, Giana's really knows how to do it well! From authentically homemade pasta, fresh pastries, wines and more, they do not disappoint. I was really excited to pick up some coffee and pastries for a work meeting today and was so impressed by their unique selection. I got many delicious goodies - like the cardamom cinnamon roll. Can you say...YUM!? I'm excited to have the opportunity to try more of Giana Bakery and Provisions has to offer!

Love this spot. It's very unassuming although located in plain sight on Hwy 1. I've enjoyed the antipasto and the meatballs. The bucatini is really good. One of my favorite things is the pastry case. After 3p, the baked goods are 50% Off so fun to take a few home for morning brunch. They are wonderful! I have yet to decide on a favorite...The service has always been friendly and prompt. They have a large team and it can be bustling. I've had to wait around 20ish for a table.

Giana Bakery and Provisions exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the inviting ambiance. The service was impeccable, with our attentive waitress ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.We indulged in a delightful shared feast of a vibrant chop salad, comforting cavatelli pasta, and a truly memorable sausage pizza. The pizza, with its subtle hint of spice, was an absolute standout. But the highlight of the evening was the unexpected surprise for my daughter's birthday. The staff presented her with a slice of their exquisite chocolate olive oil cake, a decadent treat that left us all speechless.Giana Bakery and Provisions is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a touch of thoughtful surprises makes it truly special.I highly recommend this gem to fellow food enthusiasts.

Cute little Italian bakery and restaurant with fresh, homemade pastas, sandwiches and of course bakery items. The menu has quite a good assortment of breakfast to dinner items, salads with your choice of protein if you should choose and a fabulous cinnamon latte, the drip coffee my husband had was lukewarm, not good, I like my coffee hot. I'm guessing it was sitting awhile and for that, it would have been better to brew a fresh pot. I ordered the radicchio and arugula salad which was divine! I thought it was a little expensive around $17.00 and if you wanted to add a piece of salmon, that's another $15.00. Yes, I know it's probably priced fairly for really delicious food, what else can I say. The salad was a hit and I will definitely be back for more, maybe send some updates with salmon, who knows. My husband enjoyed his eggs with pomodoro sauce, again, a great dish. Atmosphere is cute and romantic, patio seating is a plus. Place has good reviews for a reason.

Finally made it back for a sit-down meal at Giana's. And was not disappointed...with anything. From service to food to ambiance, it was everything I want from brunch. My partner made the mistake of giving me the seat which faced the pastry case, which means we took home a bag of goodies after our meal. Their plates are a perfect balance of simplicity and great ingredient combos. If I could take lessons in home cooking and baking from any chef, it'd be Danielle. We like to order one savory and one sweet, so we started with the eggs pomodoro - perfection. And then came the pane - fritto sweetened fried bread, lemon ricotta, house preserves, powdered sugar. Some might call it fancy french toast but that would be massively underselling it. I giggled when I ate the first bite, it was that good.

This was unfortunately such a disappointment. We came right at 5:15pm when they opened after having called at 4:50pm to make a reservation for 4: 2 adults & 2 kids. They sat us in the back of the restaurant by the bathrooms. Unfortunately, they also sat another family with a baby and a toddler right next to our table and they proceeded to cry, yell and scream not to mention constantly get up and run around which was distracting to our kids and was not fun to listen to. It would have been nicer if they didn't sit all families in the same section. They probably wanted to put all kids in the back and away from other diners but our kids were well behaved with their coloring books that we brought so it wasn't the best atmosphere for us. The moscato d'asti and lombrusco were nice. The salad we started with was fresh and more unique. The finocchio salad I would recommend. Nicely seasoned, balanced, good portion for splitting. No bread for table unless you order and pay for it. Not exactly the Italian warmth. We ordered the margarita pizza and also the kids cheese pizza. The kids pizza was better than ours but it wasn't remarkable. The cheese was really heavy on the kids. Both pizzas barely had any sauce - but our pizza I honestly wonder if they even put sauce because it was dry. The bolognese was recommended to us by the server but I would never order it again. The ratio of sauce to pasta was very wrong, way too heavy on sauce and very little pasta. The herbs used were overpowering and the meat was greasy. I literally ate two bites and passed since it didn't taste right. I studied and lived in Italy - so yeah, I have opinions on authentic pasta and bolognese. This was actually the first time I haven't liked one so much that I didn't even eat it which says something. It could be that we just ordered a bunch of the wrong items from the menu. But the pizza and the pasta were recommended and they are a staple of Italian cuisine so you would reasonably expect them to be good. They seemed shortstaffed and our waitress was serving multiple tables and so there were long waits where we waited for service. The bakery is small but the baked goods are left out on the counter without any coverings. We decided to pass on getting any dessert when we saw several flies inside because they leave the doors open so that just doesn't seem hygienic and I was really surprised to see this and wonder if the health department approved of that...They have literally like 5 parking spots behind the restaurant and that is it. We had to go park in the gravel dirt lot across the street that required a uturn and a longer walk with the crosswalks since obviously a family isn't jaywalking...Honestly, should have been better given the price. They have elevated prices so I would have expected better service and food. If you want pizza in DP I would go to Truly and there are several other options for homemade pasta in the beach cities.

Giana is a nice bakery for brunch and dinner in Dana point, so close by San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente. It's located in an adorable town that you can take walks to view Dana point their harbor. Their breads are fresh, brunches are so yummy, and they make freshly squeezed orange juice. Refreshing salad, amazing pizza and authentic risotto. We ordered a bottle of Moscow to go with our pizza. It was amazing! Everything taste so good! And the portions are big as well. I'd say parking is a little tight, they do have a small lot at the back, but it's usually crowded. So find be ready to find street parking. Their current brunch menu is different from one year ago, I updated it here. And the services pretty good as well! We'd love to come back!

Pastries and lattes are wonderful. A big fan of the meatballs and salads.Service is friendly and the ambiance is modern and cozy. Can be chilly at times as they leave the front door open so choose your seat wisely. Tables and bar top seating available.

I'm so glad I found this place when I was nearby on an errand. Delicious Italian food!! They select top quality ingredients for all of their food. I've tried an embarrassingly high amount of their pastries haha and they are all delicious. I'm a huge fan of sandwiches in general and they make the best ones!! It makes my mouth water to think about their sandwiches. Besides pastries and sandwiches I have bought their homemade pasta. I cooked it at home per their instructions and it turned out perfect and way better than store bought pasta. Their customer service has always been friendly and helpful when I have gone. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which so far I've only sat outside - can't beat the awesome weather combined with delicious food. There is street parking and a small parking lot on the north side of the building. Do yourself a favor and come here!! Partake in the deliciousness.
