French's Cupcake Bakery

What a great find it was! I stopped on my way because I was curious about the bakery and had to taste my usual set: a cappuccino with almond croissant. Coffee was excellent, just the right strength and tasted great. I asked for oat milk and it was delicious. The croissant was baked to perfection and the size was too big to finish in one sitting, so I ended up taking the rest out. I also found out that the lady who served me was the owner. She was so nice and accommodating! I absolutely plan on making it my go to place for pastries and caffeine fix.

Stopped by this French bakery and tried their cookies, which were on the thinner side but packed with flavor! Each cookie had a unique, delicious taste, showcasing a variety of creative flavors. They also offer great deals, making it easy to sample different treats without breaking the bank. A delightful stop for anyone craving something sweet!

French's Cupcake Bakery on 17th Street is a delightful local spot to drop in and grab a drink or bite to eat. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. The pastries are fresh and filling. I had the croissant with fresh fruit and a cup of the house coffee, then I strolled the local Castaways Park route. The croissant was flaky with a good balance of flavorful fruit. The coffee was an excellent accompaniment to a nature walk on such a gorgeous morning in Newport Beach.

The best tasting and most affordable birthday cakes in town. And they don't need a ton of extra notice like some other places in town. This cake was demolished by 14 hungry ten year old girls.

It's all about the cookies and pastries! These cookies are dangerous, as in you can eat too many of them in a short amount of time because they are that good!! They are flakey, buttery and soo fresh!!I've had all different kinds, my favorite are the butter sprinkles, peanut butter chocolate kisses, the seasonal cookies, any of the sugar cookies. There is so many kinds of cookies, any kind of cookie you will find here!! Now the muffins and danishes are amazing! You can tell theses are made from scractch!Get any of the muffins {strawberry, blueberry to be exact}. Warm those puppies up with a little butter and jelly! They are amazing! Next, get yourself a few of the cheese danishes, or the fruit ones, apple preferred, warm it up with a cup of milk and you'll be in heaven!Now as much as I love French's I have big gripe with them, I ordered my mom's birthday cake {04/04/24} and they put the wrong age on her cake! And the cake was not properly constructed because it slid off the first layer from the second layer. Mind you all we went is from French's to home {Tustin} not a far drive, the cake was contained properly in the back seat.So I'm disappointed with the presentation of the cake, those two mistakes are hard to let slide. The cake itself tasted great minus the frosting, we never had their cupcakes so weren't familiar with their buttercream frosting, it was a bit much, next time I would have gone with the whipped cream. But the sprinkles on the cake they nailed the design! I'll keep coming back for the cookies and pastries ten times over!! ^___^

the nicest bakery ever. they were so sweet helping me customize my cake order. so far everything from here has been sooooo good! the toll house cake is amazing! Love the chocolate chip!

So we were charged $108 for a small barely decorated cake for my son's Birthday. The minimal design on top of the cake that we requested looked like it was done by a grade school kid. Sooo disappointed on the price and what we got. Most expensive cake that size we have ever bought. Never again, just not worth the price.

Cinnamon bread is wonderful, as all places could use a bit more Cinnamon tho!(My thought anyways!)

We stumbled across this gem. I was looking for a little sandwich place, walked in and seen delicious desserts. I explained my situation to whom I believe was the owner, she said they do have sandwiches and suggested one. My mom is in the hospital and I took her the sandwich, it was exceptional. We also picked some delicious desserts. The customer service and food were a 10/10. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!!

I'm not sure why it took me a long time to write a review but this place has been my favorite bakery. I've had them do my wedding cake, my husband's 40th bday cake, and my mom's 65th, they don't disappoint! Their banana cake with chocolate ganache is the best! All of our friends love it. I've had to call for adjustments for the cake, and even ordered last minute, they were very gracious to help me out, service is excellent. I definitely will continue to order from them in the future.
