Freelance Coffee Project

I happened to see Freelance Coffee Project Cafe on Instagram and visited here out of curiosity.The exterior of the building is covered with plants, which contrasts well with the surrounding buildings.I tried Hot Long Black and Butter Croissant.Long Black had a good balance of richness and acidity, which was delicious.Butter Croissant looked really delicious, but when I tasted it, the texture wasn't crisp on the outside and the inside was a bit dry, so to be honest, it wasn't as good as l expected.I'll have to try other pastries next time I visit.The staff were all friendly, and the atmosphere inside the store was clean, neat, and nice... overall the vibe was good!So, l'd like to visit again soon.

Total hidden gem! Building covered in leaves and plants very hipster modern trendy vibes. I order lavender honey even though it's not on the menu itself. My barista was amazing and helpful. Took about 10 min for an order of 4 . Coffee was all yummy Turmeric Latte , Matcha , Original Plus mine the Lavender. The seating are more like stools with no backing so if you're planning on staying a long time might not be comfy.They do have higher stools with more support. They do have a private area for VIP? I seen girls taking pics for the gram. Loved the music the most!

Gorgeous coffee shop hidden by green leaves in Costa Mesa. Even though it's sweater weather right now, the chic decor and its urban aesthetics makes it feel like it's spring time. It's a peaceful vibe. The soul music playing is chill too and not too loud. Everyone there was focus in their zone doing work. Grind don't stop. We ordered the vanilla latte, matcha drink, and hot chocolate. The drinks were a 5/5. The coffee wasn't too strong like I wanted, but the creaminess and flavor is all there. The hot chocolate wasn't that sweet; just right. The croissant was also delicious. The cheese added a nice touch.I wished I found this place sooner. It's pretty low key and I would be down to come back and study here. Don't wanna gatekeep this spot because this deserves the spotlight ay!

Not sure why anyone would come here for a $7 latte that's less than 16oz. The matcha latte with oat milk was not smooth or sweet despite asking for vanilla syrup. Service is great though, might just be an ownership issue with techniques and ingredients. Great place to study though with lots of seating.

We stopped by this place because we were drawn to their beautiful interior and ambiance, which did not disappoint. It's got a pretty open setting so you can get a lot of natural light in. Their coffee quality is amazing, but I felt like their portions were a bit small. They have a good selection of house made syrups and will make your drinks with alternative milks (oat, macadamia) free of charge! All in all, I'd recommend this spot to try if you're looking for a place to just chill and enjoy the nice OC weather. They've also got some tables and seats if you're in the productive mood

Did not like their matcha at all. Served way too hot, leaving a burnt matcha when it cooled. Pretty interior though!

Really nice spot hidden in a light industrial area. Decor is really nice and inviting. The shop has some really cool items but very pricey.Coffee was really good. I ordered a flat white with macadamia milk. The nutty flavors really came through and the coffee was VERY smooth! No bitter flavor at all. I want to try a pour over next time. One of the few places you can get macadamia milk too. They also offer oat but no soy.Service was good too. No complaints.If you are looking for good coffee, this is a great spot! But not the kind of place for excessively, overcompensated coffee drinks.I like the basics and getting the actual coffee right!!!

First time at Freelance Coffee and I loved it! The coffee is great and the baristas are so friendly. The interior is SO CUTE, filled with an abundance of greenery and the coziest atmosphere (they even have a fireplace!). Such a great spot to relax or get some work done. Can't wait to come back!

Hands down one of the most beautiful spacious coffee shops I've ever been to. Dimly lit, modern, vibey, and great music. Chic but not pretentious. I will say the guy that took my order was not helpful did not seem excited to help me choose a coffee (it was my first time here). However if you know coffee shops the workers are all the same either super cool and friendly or have a i don't care attitude which he did. Despite his energy i would still come back. I didn't have any food just a dirty chai latte.

Modern, beautiful and clean with relaxing ambiance sound. Delicious coffee with gorgeous swan art We got cappuccino and cortado. I would never assume cartado with swan on it. It was beautiful and delicious coffee, a little too bitter for me I guess it was dark roast but still great. The cappuccino was creamy. And more important it's dog friendly and you can bring your paw friend with you
